It's increasing! It's a tough chart lately, otherwise it would be doing even better. Probably will pass 2 falling songs next week, plus probably more upwards movement. No debuts look to be high.

Yeah, it was hard. But they're both amazing! Expect "Clarity" to have longevity for a while, hopefully a really long time because it takes off on radio.

Week of 03-17-2013

Another week, another new #1 lmao. This one looks to have some staying power, although "The City" is moving fast, and "Clarity" and "Figure 8" are still both huge. It's so hard choosing #1s. :'(

But "Same Love" moves up 2 to #1, pushing "Figure 8" and "Clarity" down 1 each, to #2 and #3, respectively. "The City" gains another 4 spots to #4, and "Little Talks" falls another spot to #5. No new top 10 songs, and no new top 16 songs, either! :O

Justin Timberlake continues his success, with "Suit & Tie" moving up 2 to #7, closing in on his previous peak of #3, and "Mirrors" also moves up 4 to #11, a new peak. Speaking of Justins, Bieber moves up 6 to #22, the biggest gainer of the week. The other "big" moves (up 4 each) are "Poetic Justice" at #20, "Heart Atack" at #26, "Euphoria" at #31, and "My Heart is Refusing Me" at #32. Oh and I missed "Troublemaker," but that moves 5 to #28.

As for big falls, the biggest fall goes to "Wing$" which fell 11 to #34, most likely its last week on the chart. "Spectrum" and "C'Mon" fell 5 each to #27 and #23, respectively. "Swimming Pools (Drank)" and "Pour It Up" both fell 4, to #15 and #21, respectively.

4 songs debut this week: "22" at #35, the highest debut, "I Need Your Love" at #38, "I Could Be the One" at #39, and "Can't Hold Us" at #40. These 4 songs replace "Ball," "Heal," "Human," and "I Knew You Were Trouble."

Oh and a few new certifications this week, but the biggest news is "Little Talks" is now 8x Platinum. The first song to reach this landmark, and now there are no songs at 7x Platinum. Ke$ha had a shot at reaching 7x Platinum, but is falling too fast at this point, it seems. :'(

And then the mandatory "Call Me Maybe" update: in its 37th week it moves up 2 spots to #30.

Like I said to Nightfire, "Figure 8" would have a bullet if I did spins, just "Same Love" has a bigger bullet. Expect it to be top 10 for plenty more weeks. "I Need Your Love" isn't nearly as good, but still good. Gotta see how much it grows on me.

See Nightfire and Drag's responses regarding "Figure 8." And like I said a few posts above, I just much prefer up-tempo, dance music to slower, ballad songs. Add in the fact there are 2 of them at once... They're performing well given that information, though. :)
