“Hothouse” 78violet CHART IT! CHART IT! CHART IT! Is it on iTunes? If not, is/was there an official adds date? I've had plenty of other songs lately to chart so I haven't checked for sure but if it meets either/both of those then it's eligible to chart and I'll give it some more listens and possibly debut.

That's what I would have said, but I haven't actively searched it out. Yet? It is a single, so it should be eligible to chart on your chart. Unless there is some rules I don't know about.P.S. Au$tin, it will be charting on my chart this week (My update is tomorrow.)

Well some songs are supposedly singles but then they take forever to go to iTunes, if at all, never get sent to radio, etc. So then are they really a "single" ?? It's hard to tell sometimes, that's all.

"The One" hadn't gone #1 previously? I thought it had. YASSSSS at Lorde smashing into the top 10!!!!! Next #1 pl z! Oh WOW at Mika too!! Did you like his 2007-2009 stuff? Damn "Right Here", I'm really surprised you're liking that Rudimental song so much. "Baby I" up, nice. "Give It 2 U" up, f**k off. "Stompa", yes!!! "What Now", glad you're charting it and it's doing well! Aww at "Jack" crashing :( "Figure 8" and "Spectrum" still in for you too, f**k yeah <3 "Roar", nice. Like all 3 debuts but none are close to 'love' for me. Flop Delta. "Glowing" and "Beam Me Up" 2x platinum is nice :) "Change Your Life lol feels so old. "Good Time" before I got sick of it <333 (and Carly when she was relevant <3) If you're interested, a bunch of songs you like debut on my chart and a few others that you haven't seen yet are doing well I think. Putting that in here instead of tagging you because tagging in chart threads is oldness tb h ETA: how the f**k did you +1 this so fast.

"The One" hadn't gone #1 previously? I thought it had. Nope! 3 weeks at #2 prior to this week. YASSSSS at Lorde smashing into the top 10!!!!! Next #1 pl z! Definitely could be! :) Oh WOW at Mika too!! Did you like his 2007-2009 stuff? Never listened to him before lol. Is this song similar to his other music? Damn "Right Here", I'm really surprised you're liking that Rudimental song so much. Haha, I want to look at some more of their work. I haven't, yet, though. Do you like her stuff? I like the 4 songs we've heard in full so far, oh the 5th is the duet with The Wanted person and he sounds like shit and ruins the song. :( "Give It 2 U" up, f**k off. Lmao you don't like it? I like it WAY better than "Blurred Lines." It's got Kendrick, too. I'm only a little bit late on that one but oh well lol "What Now", glad you're charting it and it's doing well! MILES better than "Right Now" lol Aww at "Jack" crashing :( Combo of high jumping songs and also just high burn rate on me. "Figure 8" and "Spectrum" still in for you too, f**k yeah <3 Yes, still not tired of them at all. Althought I think "Spectrum" is gonna drop soon, maybe this week. Potentially a bunch of debuts again. Like all 3 debuts but none are close to 'love' for me. *looks at what debuted* "American Girl" gonna see a big jump, "Beware" I'm liking but not *loving*, "White Walls" is way better than I remembered. It should do pretty well. Haha I really like the end of the song when the beat changes, but the rest is kinda basic/generic. "Glowing" and "Beam Me Up" 2x platinum is nice :) Yes! I think "Beam Me Up" is gonna fall hard soon, though. Between kinda tiring of it and also lots of new songs I really love, it's kinda doomed for a while haha. "Change Your Life lol feels so old. Haha well the US is too slow. I think I'm gonna look more at UK hits as they happen and maybe not be so late on some songs when they come to the US 2 years later haha. "Good Time" before I got sick of it <333 (and Carly when she was relevant <3) She still is. See "Take a Picture." If it falls off before a new single she'll ruin being the only person to chart every week. If it comes down to it I'll have to chart "A Whole New World" or re-enter "Call Me Maybe. If you're interested, a bunch of songs you like debut on my chart and a few others that you haven't seen yet are doing well I think. Putting that in here instead of tagging you because tagging in chart threads is oldness tb h Ooh yay I'll have to check it out soon. :)

Never listened to him before lol. Is this song similar to his other music? HOW IN THE WORLD DID YOU MANAGE TO AVOID GRACE KELLY!?!?!???!?!?!?!?!?!!!!?!?!??!!!?!?!?!?!???!!!??!?!!!!!!!! Oh wait... America. >_< I wouldn't say it's very similar as his old singles are a lot less generic pop in sound and lyrics, but I do think "Popular Song" has elements that link it to his older work. You have to listen to "Grace Kelly". Whether or not you think you'll like it, at the very least it's a MASSIVE hit that everyone knows ... outside of the US. Then try "Love Today", "Happy Ending" and "Big Girl (You Are Beautiful)", and if you like them give the entire Life In Cartoon Motion album a shot because it's awesome. And try "Rain". It was the second single from his second album and it flopped hard but it's epic. The first single "We Are Golden" was pretty good but I always felt it was a weaker version of his first album's singles and while I grew to enjoy it (and even moreso now for nostalgia), I wouldn't recommend it alongside the ones I've already mentioned. Enjoy & thank me later!! You should listen to "Feel The Love" on repeat until you love it. LOVE "The Way". "Baby I" is good. Haven't heard anything else. What the fuck josh it is NOT better than "Blurred Lines". I remember when I felt I was late with it. That was in January. Eh, I don't blame you tb h. Wonderful initiative. I really wish I'd done that earlier myself! If you have nothing better to do on Sunday you could always listen to the UK chart show and hear them all in 3 hours Honey I meant to the rest of the world. What's "A Whole New World"? Isn't it "Part of Your World" or something? idk haven't heard it yet.

Will listen later today! :) You should listen to "Feel The Love" on repeat until you love it. I really don't like John Newman's (?) vocals though. LOVE "The Way". "Baby I" is good. Haven't heard anything else. The Way > Baby I > Right Here (or is it Right There? I confuse it with Rudimental's song lol) Not sure where the 4th song, just released yesterday, would rank. Didn't care for Right (T)Here at first but it's really grown on me. The 4th one I really liked right away so it's probably at least in 3rd place of the 4. What the f**k josh it is NOT better than "Blurred Lines". Is too. WAY better. Blurred Lines sucks. I remember when I felt I was late with it. That was in January. Haha well I went with DNA next because wasn't it supposed to be getting a US push? Oh well, moving on to a new single and I think this one is next or something. Wonderful initiative. I really wish I'd done that earlier myself! Probably gonna flop epically with lots of albums coming out soon. Tamar, Ariana, Justin, Janelle... Then later Britney (?), Gaga, Katy, Beyonce (?), and likely more. :'( I'll try my best though haha. If you have nothing better to do on Sunday you could always listen to the UK chart show and hear them all in 3 hours Too much work and too many songs I won't like. Honey I meant to the rest of the world. What's "A Whole New World"? Isn't it "Part of Your World" or something? idk haven't heard it yet. LMAO yes it is. Wrong song, wrong movie. At least I picked a Disney song. I knew what song I was talking about, just couldn't think of the right title. Oh well. BUT SHE IS STILL RELEVANT. Just you wait for her new lead single smash. Hopefully it's coming soon. OH Karmin supposed to release too! They need single 2. And Dev I don't think is doing stuff til early 2014. :'( Oh and I'll check out Avril too but don't care for HTNGU and RNR I'm not sure about that one yet.

I really don't like John Newman's (?) vocals though. Make yourself love it. "Right There", I think. I think. You have serious problems. Hm? What does "DNA" have to do with "Stompa"? Lorde. You won't know until you try! Such a stan. :'( Looking forward to the next single

Never. Yep. No, you do. Oh, I thought you were talking about Little Mix. Oh yeah her. I need to check out her 2 EPs or whatever first. Well I already know plenty of songs in there that I like/don't like. I would just go manually and look at songs I don't know rather than listen to songs I don't like or am burned on. The stanniest. :'( Me too. Hopefully it smashes.

Just 1 EP ( The Love Club) and 1 single with a b-side ("Tennis Court"/"Swingin' Party"). 7 songs in total. Well, if you want! Let me know what you think of the songs you don't know because I'm curious. But the UK chart show is fun so imo you're missing out

The single version of "Popular Song" (which it's the one Ariana Grande is featured) has elements of "Grace Kelly", so I think, as Slizzard told you, you have to give a try to the latter. You have to listen to "Grace Kelly". Whether or not you think you'll like it, at the very least it's a MASSIVE hit that everyone knows ... outside of the US. Not at you shading completely The Origin of Love singles :'( I mean, they even flopped harder than the ones of Life in Cartoon Motion and The Boy Who Knew Too Much, but you should have mentioned, especially "Underwater" and "Make You Happy" (well, it was only a promotional). Also, where is "Relax, Take It Easy" though? Anyway, so great to see that you praise "Rain". That song is so fucking amazing that it deserved to slay honestly. Sad his label decided to release it only in Europe and Oceania. I think it was released in Latin America as well, but I'm not sure about it.

I think, at least, US people might have known it, but it seems some of them not :( It made #13 on Billboard Pop Songs? I'm pretty sure it didn't chart on CHR at all, I checked the other week because I thought it hade made #40-ish but apparently it didn't. So idk how it made #13 on Billboard? I haven't even heard the original "Popular Song" haha. I don't know those first two "Relax (Take It Easy)" is great but I didn't feel the need to list it on its own outside of "the entire Life In Cartoon Motion album" Well, where else could they have released it than Europe and Oceania? But yes I love it so much! Lozzy "Grace Kelly" is not familiar at all. Not a fan of any of the songs, really. :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( Thanks for trying them though!

josh I have no idea what you just said but ok Wikipedia says, like Juan said, it charted at 13 or whatever on pop. Billboard's pop. The source for this lead to Mika's chart history page on Billboard. Of the 14 charts he's charted on, pop songs is not one of them. Therefore whoever edited Wikipedia is on crack.

I haven't even heard the original "Popular Song" haha. You can listen to it here. I don't know those first two "Relax (Take It Easy)" is great but I didn't feel the need to list it on its own outside of "the entire Life In Cartoon Motion album" You avoid completely The Origin of Love completely, so it was kinda expected. Regarding "Relax, Take It Easy"/"Relax (Take It Easy)", you should have included because it's flawless. Well, where else could they have released it than Europe and Oceania? Oh! I understand your point "Grace Kelly" is not familiar at all. Not a fan of any of the songs, really.

Week of 09-01-2013"Popular Song" makes another big jump, big at least for how high it was, jumping 7 spots to #1. This knocks the top 3 from last week down 1 spot each. This is both MIKA and Ariana's 1st #1 song. "Beautiful Life" enters the top 5, up 4, the 1st top 5 for both Armin and Cindy. Almost moving as much as "Popular Song" last week, "American Girl" flies up 41 spots to #7, the only song to enter the top 10. This is Bonnie's 1st top 10. Needless to say, this is the greatest gainer for the week. Nothing new enters the top 20. "White Walls" also sees a huge gain, up 29 to #21. This is Macklemore's and Ryan Lewis' 5th top 30, and ScHoolboy Q's and Hollis' 1st top 30. 2 new songs enter the top 40: "Beware" gains 13 to #36 and "This Is What It Feels Like" debuts at #40. This is Big Sean's 5th (1 lead, 4 feature), Lil Wayne's 5th (all features), Jhené's 1st, Armin's 2nd, and Trevor Guthrie's 1st top 40. In addition to "This Is What It Feels Like," 5 other songs debut: "All the Way Home" at #41, "Wrecking Ball" at #42, "Dear Darlin'" at #45, "Hothouse" at #49, and "Change Your Life" at #50. This is Tamar's 3rd, Miley's 2nd, Olly's 5th, 78violet's 1st, and Little Mix's 3rd song to chart. Falling off for these songs are "Jack," "Play It Again," "Spectrum," "Can't Believe It," "Dirty Laundry," and "Dance With Me Tonight." With "Spectrum" falling off after 46 weeks, the longest charter is now "Figure 8," in its 33rd week, falling 5 to #46. 11 certifications this week. Gold: "Baby I," "Beautiful Life," "Popular Song," "Royals," and "What Now;" Platinum: "Best Song Ever" and "Made In the USA;" 2x Platinum: "#Beautiful;" 3x Platinum: "True Love" and "The Way; 5x Platinum: "Crazy Kids." "Crazy Kids" is only the 7th song to reach 5x Platinum. LW TW PP WOC08 01 01 003 “Popular Song” MIKA feat. Finally, you updated your personal thread. I was waiting to comment it after I saw it on the week's charts thread "Popular Song" makes another big jump, big at least for how high it was, jumping 7 spots to #1. This knocks the top 3 from last week down 1 spot each. This is both MIKA and Ariana's 1st #1 song. YES!!! Mika got his first (and I assume it's only, so far, for now) #1 hit in your chart (along Ariana Grande)! Legendariana should be proud of you~Almost moving as much as "Popular Song" last week, "American Girl" flies up 41 spots to #7, the only song to enter the top 10. This is Bonnie's 1st top 10. Needless to say, this is the greatest gainer for the week. So good for Bonnie McKee. "American Girl" is receiveng some airplay in Peru as well. #randomcomment "White Walls" also sees a huge gain, up 29 to #21. This is Macklemore's and Ryan Lewis' 5th top 30, and ScHoolboy Q's and Hollis' 1st top 30. Good for them. "Dear Darlin'" debuts! Yes Falling off for these songs are "Jack," "Play It Again," "Spectrum," "Can't Believe It," "Dirty Laundry," and "Dance With Me Tonight." Sad for "Jack" and "Dance With Me Tonight". I begin to listen more the former (not sure if it's going to enter on my personal chart yet), while I think I'm going with the latter to enter at some point on my personal chart as well instead of "Right Place Right Time" for now. With "Spectrum" falling off after 46 weeks, the longest charter is now "Figure 8," in its 33rd week, falling 5 to #46. Amazing longevity of "Figure 8" :) Songs to Look Out For"Atlas" Coldplay "Right Place Right Time" Olly Murs "Rock 'n Roll" Avril Lavigne "Supernatural" Ke$ha Looking forward to these songs :) Additional comments:• "Royals" is close to be inside the Top 5. • "Red", "Stompa" and "What Now" keep climbing. • It seems that "Roar" is not going to have good chart run. Hope that I'm wrong though. • Ouch at the fall of "Acapella".

Yay!!! I like your #1. The song really grew on me. Nice to see Queen T still hanging on...Surprised GaGa has only spent 1 week at the top, are you not feeling it as much as her other stuff???
Nice to see Bonnie make a huge move. Wrecking Ball makes its debut <3 And yay at Katy inching close to top 40. That must be hard for you :/

"Roar" is disappointing too, haha. I want both albums so I can see the true gems. Yes, go Bonnie! I was super late on that song but I'm loving it now haha.
