If "Aura" had 1 more week at #1 (giving it all 13 weeks), it would have been #2. A week at #22 (same as last week) would have kept it in the same spot, #4.

If "Do What U Want" had 1 more week at #1 (giving it 11 weeks), it would have been #4. 2 extra weeks would put it at #1. Those missing weeks are (obviously) what hurt it.

Good Top 5. Surprised none of the Lady Gaga tracks were atop and "Aura" surpassing "Do What U Want". As you said, the missing 3 weeks hurts it. On the other side, glad to see "Atlas" atop. That's was unexpected.

Just finished calculations for artists. 141 artists charted in 2013 (including artists that were only a feature).

Oh and there are also 208 songs that charted. Idk how many albums yet, I haven't gotten that far yet. Now onto this week's chart. Woot.

Week of 01-05-2014

First chart of 2014! Silly Beyonce making me change my image size to fit her widescreen single cover. Hopefully I remember to change things back when she moves out of #2. Anyways, as you can see by the pictures, the final 3 finally changed! Big changes throughout the top 10, actually. Gaga holds at #1 yet again, but Beyonce and Little Mix rise 7 to #2 and #3, respectively. This is Beyonce's 2nd, Jay-Z's 2nd (both features), and Little Mix's 1st top 3. Beyonce has a 2nd #2 song in "Dance for You." Can "Drunk In Love" get her a #1 this time? Tune in next week to find out. ;) "Timber" also rises 1 to #5, Pitbull's 1st and Ke$ha's 5th (4 lead, 1 feature) top 5. As for the top 10, "Right Place Right Time" rises 3 to #9, Olly's 2nd top 10. Nothing new enters the top 20. 2 songs enter the top 30: "Hey Brother" flies 28 to #22, the greatest gainer, and "Young Girls" re-enters the top 30, rising 5 to #30. It previously reached #19 as an album track in 2012. This is Avicii's 2nd top 30.

Only 1 song enters the top 40: "XO" which is up 9 to #35. Beyonce coming to slay them 2014 charts. "Pretty Hurts" is also eligible to chart due to making top 50 on Urban AC. However, I'm not dying to chart it, and these 2 songs are definitely enough for now. Plus there's also a good chance of it being a pop single later on. It should definitely chart at some point, just not sure when, yet. Oh, and "XO" is Beyonce's 3rd top 40. Finally, 2 songs debut: "Best Day of My Life" at #49 and "Happy" at #50. This is American Authors' 1st and Pharrell's 2nd (1 lead, 1 feature) song to chart. Falling off are "Strong" and "Push Play (Zedd Remix)."

As mentioned above, the greatest gainer is "Hey Brother," flying up 28 spots to #22. The biggest fall goes to both "Aura" and "Alive (Zedd Remix)," dropping 10 spots each to #32 and #33, respectively. Mentioned above, the highest debut is "Best Day of My Life" at #49. Finally, in its 39th week, "Come & Get It" falls 2 to #46.

Lots of certifications this week with 9 songs being certified, but they are only for gold and platinum certifications. Gold: "Blow," "Counting Stars," "Drunk In Love," "Hard Out Here," "Move," "Sail," and "Talk Dirty;" Platinum: "Story of My Life" and "Unconditionally."
