Another new #1! This time it's "Wild Heart" by The Vamps. This is their 1st #1, and also their 1st song to chart. It is also the greatest gainer for the week, flying 22 spots to the top. This pushes "Air Balloon" down to #2. "Control" holds at #3 while "Drunk In Love" drops 3 to #5. Super competitive chart right now. The good news is that none of this week's debuts are gunning for the top, at least yet. Nothing new enters the top 5 and only 1 new song enters the top 10: "Goodness Gracious" which is up 11 spots to #10. This is Ellie's 4th (3 lead, 1 feature) top 10. 4 songs enter the top 20, although 1 is just returning: "Jump" rises 9 to re-enter at #13, "Wasting All These Tears" rises 15 to #14, "Knee Deep In My Heart" rises 17 to #15, and "Show Me" rises 14 to #16. This is Cassadee's 1st, Shane's 1st, Kid Ink's 1st, and Chris' 3rd (all features) top 20.
Only 1 new song enters the top 30: "Girls" up 17 to #22. This is Jennifer's 5th (3 lead, 2 feature) top 30. 4 new songs enter the top 40: "Into the Blue" up 16 to #32, "I Want It All" up 17 to #33, "Where Did We Go Wrong" up 7 to #37, and "Latch" debuting at #40, the highest debut. This is Kylie's 2nd, Karmin's 5th, Toni's and Babyface's 2nd, Disclosure's 1st, and Sam Smith's 1st top 40. This is also Disclosure's 1st and Sam Smith's 1st song to chart. There are 4 other debuts, making 5 total: "La La La" at #43, "Battlefield" at #45, "Louder" at #47, and "Same Girl" at #50. This is Naughty Boy's 1st, Sam Smith's 2nd (both features), Lea's 2nd and 3rd, and Jennifer's 6th (4 lead, 2 feature) song to chart. Falling off for the 5 debuts are "Wing$," "PrimeTime," "Right There," "All the Way Home," and "Hard Out Here." This is the first chart without Tamar since "Love and War" debuted on the 5/12/13 chart 39 weeks ago. Toni keeps the Braxtons charting, though, with "Where Did We Go Wrong." This is also the first chart without Macklemore & Ryan Lewis since the 1/27/13 chart 54 weeks ago.
As mentioned above, the highest debut is "Latch" at #40. The greatest gainer is "Wild Heart," rising 22 spots to #1. "Dirty Paws" has the biggest fall, dropping 14 spots to #48. Finally, in its 36th week, "Slow Down" drops 1 spot to #39.
Another great week for certifications with 11 songs being certified again. Not as great of a spread but a 6x Platinum certification makes up for that. Gold: "Goodness Gracious" and "Wild Heart;" Platinum: "Air Balloon," "Control," "Neon Lights," "Sleepwalker," "Turn Down for What," and "XO;" 2x Platinum: "Talk Dirty" and "Unconditionally;" 6x Platinum: "Atlas." "Atlas" is the 5th song to reach 6x Platinum, and is now also #5 in total points. "Do What U Want" also reaches #10 in total points this week.
