Week of 03-09-2014A 1.2x multiplier is in effect this week, down from 1.3 last week.
"Fall In Love" remains at #1 this week. In fact, the top 4 remains the same, with only "Partition" entering the top 5 at #5. This is Beyonce's 3rd top 5. Speaking of Beyonce, "Drunk In Love" re-enters the top 10 at #8, up 3 from last week. Loving the remix. Nothing else enters the top 10. 3 new songs enter the top 20: "Into the Blue" up 6 to #16, "Can We Dance" up 26 to #17, the greatest gainer, and "I Want It All" up 3 to #20. This is Kylie's 2nd, The Vamps' 2nd, and Karmin's 5th top 20. This is also The Vamps' 2nd top 30 and 40 as well. Besides "Can We Dance," only 1 song enters the top 30: "Let Go for Tonight," which also sees a big gain of 18 spots to #27. This is Foxes' 3rd top 30 (and top 40), with it being her first for all of the above as a lead artist.
Nothing new enters the top 40, although "XO" and "Young Girls" both gain 2 to re-enter. 4 songs debut: "You Make Me," "Luna," "Only That Real," and "Magic" at #46, #47, #48, and #50, respectively. This is Avicii's 3rd, Bombay Bicycle Club's 1st, IamSu's 2nd (1 lead, 1 feature), 2 Chainz' 5th (all features), Sage the Gemini's 3rd (1 lead, 2 features), and Coldplay's 5th song to chart. Falling off are "Neon Lights," "Team," "Same Girl," and "Battlefield."
As mentioned above, the highest debut is "You Make Me" at #46. Also mentioned above, the greatest gainer is "Can We Dance," rising a huge 26 spots to #17. The biggest fall goes to "Girls" which drops 13 spots to #38. Finally, in its 27th week, "Atlas" gains 2 to #24. Will the debut of "Magic" (which looks to make a huge gain next week #spoilerz) cause it to start dropping again? Tune in next week. ;)
Boring week for certifications. Gold: "Dibby Dibby Sound," "La La La," "Ready for Your Love," and "Where Did We Go Wrong;" Platinum: "Fall In Love," "Partition," and "Run for Cover;" 2x Platinum: "Wild Heart." In overall points, "Atlas" remains at #4, while "Do What U Want" enters the top 5 at #5, passing "Little Talks."
