Week of 03-02-2014

A 1.3x multiplier is in effect this week, down from 1.4 last week.

A new #1 this week as "Fall In Love" swaps spots with "Wild Heart." Obviously this is Phantogram's 1st #1. "Run for Cover" also enters the top 3, rising 3 spots to #3. This is Cazzette's 1st top 3, and 2nd top 5. Nothing else enters the top 5. Nothing new enters the top 10. 2 new songs enter the top 20: "Dibby Dibby Sound," rising 25 spots to #14, the greatest gainer, and "Ready for Your Love," rising 16 spots to #15. This is the first top 20 (and top 30 as well) for DJ Fresh, Jay Fay, Ms. Dynamite, Gorgon City, and MNEK.

Only 1 new song enters the top 30 (but not the top 20): "Louder," which rises 5 spots to #30. This is Lea's 2nd top 30. 3 new songs enter the top 40: "You're Mine (Eternal)," up 10 to #31, "Helicopter," up 7 to #39, and "Lookin Ass" (the new official name, apparently Lahey's Lucky Star), up 7 to #40. This is Mariah's 3rd, Martin's 3rd, Firebeatz' 1st, Young Money's 1st, and Nicki's 19th (10 lead, 9 features) top 40. 3 songs enter the chart: "Can We Dance," the highest debut, at #43, "Let Go for Tonight," debuting at #45, and "Midnight Memories," re-entering at #49. This is The Vamps' 2nd and Foxes' 3rd (1 lead, 2 features) song to chart. Falling off are "Cannonball," "Story of My Life," and "Dark Horse."

As mentioned above, the greatest gainer is "Dibby Dibby Sound," rising 25 spots to #14. The biggest fall goes to "Move," dropping 11 spots to #18. Also mentioned above, the highest debut is "Can We Dance" at #43. Finally, in its 26th week, "Atlas" drops 1 spot to #26.

Nice week for certifications with 12 songs being certified and a nice spread. Gold: "Fall In Love," "Find You," "I Want It All," "Into the Blue," "Latch," "Partition," and "Run for Cover;" Platinum: "Show Me;" 2x Platinum: "Air Balloon" and "Sleepwalker;" 3x Platinum: "Jump;" 6x Platinum: "Do What U Want." "Atlas" passes "Little Talks" to be #4 in total points. It will stay there for a few weeks more. "Do What U Want" remains at #6, but should pass "Little Talks" next week, and potentially "Atlas" as well.
