Well this is working out terribly. I've gotten rid of 5 songs so far, some new songs will probably be pushed back a week or two. But it *should* be posted tonight. :)

Week of 11-25-2012Even crazier week! :O 13 debuts: 2 top 5, 3 top 10, 6 top 20... Obviously a ton of songs got pushed down again. Next week should be more normal, although there's still a few songs I need to chart asap. At least this week the biggest gainer moved up 11 spots! Besides the 13 debuts, only 3 songs moved up again. The biggest faller(s) fell 17 spots again. :'( Back to back #1s for Ke$ha, in consecutive weeks! :O Possibly even more interesting is One Direction charting 9 songs simultaneously. Their lead single fell off, though, so they didn't quite make 10. With "Run" falling off the chart, "Call Me Maybe" is alone in holding the title of most weeks on chart :'(
Still debating whether to change to top 50 or not come 2013. Times like this I really could use it, but around the slower parts of the year it might be a struggle... Idk I'll probably try it and see how it goes, then change back if it's too much work. Also I'm thinking about starting a bubbling under chart or something similar, like a few other people have. Week of 12-02-2012A much slower week than before, with only 3 debuts and 3 droppers. 3 more Rihanna songs debuted, and 3 of the many One Direction songs dropped off. The chart is also slow in that the biggest gainer (4 of them) only gained 4 spots each. However, the biggest faller managed to fall 9 spots. Rihanna scores her first #1, although she came very close before. She would easily have more #1s had I started charting earlier. Other than that pretty boring so yeah. Week of 12-09-2012A quicker week than last week, but not as crazy as the couple weeks prior. 5 debuts this week, 4 of which are Ke$ha, the 5th of which is "Beauty and a Beat" at #34. Ke$ha has my 3rd #1 debut with "Crazy Kids," which is her 3rd #1, in only 4 weeks! :O She's the first artist to accumulate 3 #1 hits. Carly Rae Jepsen has 2, but got very close to a 3rd with "Hurt So Good," which peaked at #3. "This Kiss" is bulleted again this week, but I don't think it will make it much farther than top 10, if it even makes it that far. Nicki Minaj also has 2 #1 songs. "Va Va Voom" could be a #1 song, but it's much too early to tell that yet. Stuck at #2 for a 3rd week is "Summer Love." :'( Ke$ha also has the #3 song with "Wonderland," while "C'Mon" is #4, and "Die Young" moves up 3 to #9. 2 top 3 debuts, 3 top 5 songs, and 4 top 10 songs. Not sure but that's probably a record. Ke$ha is dominating my chart right now. The biggest gainer award goes to "This Kiss," which moved up 9 spots to #22. Not a new peak, but getting close. The biggest faller award goes to both "Come Alive" and "Blown Away." Don't worry Carrie fans, "Two Black Cadillacs" is looking to start charting soon. :) Next week look for Bruno to have several debuts with his album coming out, and Ke$ha to maybe get another song or two to debut as well. After that it should be pretty slow on the debuts, since there's nothing on the album release list there is in one of the threads on Pulse... Good for my wallet, I guess! :)
So I'm pretty sure I decided what to do for my chart dilemma. I'm going to keep it at 40 songs, but starting on my first 2013 chart, I'm no longer going to debut any album tracks. Only singles will be allowed to debut. Any already charting album tracks will be allowed to finish their runs, but no new album tracks can chart. International singles count as singles, so will be allowed to chart. Promo singles also count, however they can only chart close to their release as a promo single. So I can't chart "Red" by Taylor Swift in February, since it's several months after release, unless it were to become a single. :) LW TW PP WOCne 01 01 001 “Crazy Kids” Ke$ha 1 week at #1 highest debut 3rd #1 debut02 02 02 004 “Summer Love” One Direction * Platinum* ne 03 03 001 “Wonderland” Ke$ha03 04 01 004 “C’Mon” Ke$ha * Platinum* 1 week at #101 05 01 003 “Jump” Rihanna * Platinum* 1 week at #104 06 04 003 “I’m Legit” Nicki Minaj feat. That song is that s**t >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Yeah #2 peak sucks, but she's at 20 weeks charting! Most songs don't make it that far. :) She has 6th most points so far! Should make it to 5, maybe even 4 if she lasts a few more weeks.

Check back next week to see if "Crazy Kids" gets another week or not! I just don't like to chart leaks so this was the first week it could chart.

I like your move to a singles chart as well. It's tough, but it makes things so much easier. This, too.

I like your move to a singles chart as well. It's tough, but it makes things so much easier. This, too. Yeah, my chart (especially now with all the big releases) is soooo crazy. And non-singles usually have such short chart lives, because I move on relatively quickly without radio making me think of them as much...

Week of 12-16-2012Ke$ha scores yet another #1, her 4th. In 5 weeks nonetheless. By far the record. Starting soon non-single #1s won't really count. They will count for my archives, but Ke$ha will only have 2 "official" #1s, unless one (or both) of the other two songs become a single. Bruno debuts 3 songs, including "Natalie" all the way at #2. Loreen debuts 2 songs, and has another re-enter. I randomly fell in love with her album again this past week. The next few weeks should be much slower, with no new releases I care about anytime soon. Don't worry, I have a list of 12 songs that I'm still waiting to add. As Ke$ha, Bruno, One Direction, etc. album tracks fall off, these songs will start to chart. And the other true singles won't keep getting shafted outside the top 10 and have semi-normal chart runs for the most part. You can see the top 20 or so having several real singles moving up again, finally. :) LW TW PP WOC03 01 01 002 “Wonderland” Ke$ha * Gold* 1 week at #1ne 02 02 001 “Natalie” Bruno Mars highest debut01 03 01 002 “Crazy Kids” Ke$ha * Gold* 1 week at #1ne 04 04 001 “In My Head” Loreen02 05 02 005 “Summer Love” One Direction * Platinum* 04 06 01 005 “C’Mon” Ke$ha * 2x Platinum* 1 week at #105 07 01 004 “Jump” Rihanna * Platinum* 1 week at #1ne 08 08 001 “Moonshine” Bruno Marsne 09 09 001 “My Heart Is Refusing Me” Loreen09 10 01 011 “Die Young” Ke$ha * 3x Platinum* 1 week at #112 11 11 011 “Little Talks” Of Monsters and Men * 2x Platinum* 13 12 10 012 “Spectrum” Florence + The Machine * 2x Platinum* 19 13 13 009 “Locked Out of Heaven” Bruno Mars * Platinum* biggest gain15 14 12 010 “Spectrum” Zedd feat. So because your switching over you aren't counting former #1's?
I do agree that it's easier and better charting only singles. I try to do only singles but include radio, promo, and international singles.
Sometimes though a song will get an add's date or "official release statement" only for it never to end up being a single, but still chart.
<3 the K$ domination and Bru Bru too!

Yeah, I'm doing the same as you. Promo and international singles will be eligible, and if it makes top 50 on pop/urban/whatever it is eligible as well.
I was trying to phrase this correct... I will still count the #1s of album tracks, but for consistency purposes I will in the future say Ke$ha has 2 #1s (4 including 2 album tracks, which are now ineligible).
Otherwise she gets 2 #1s that other artists who haven't released an album these 6 months (Gaga, Beyonce, etc.) don't have the opportunity to catch up on. So they still count, just basically have an asterisk and will be set aside when comparing to all other artists. Still there, though.
Hopefully that makes more sense lmao

Week of 12-23-2012Bruno scores his first #1 with "Natalie," which is my 19th #1. He also has 3 other songs with upward movement, although "Moonshine" and "Young Girls" will follow the normal album track pattern of increasing for a couple weeks then fall pretty quickly afterwards. Only #1 album tracks seem to last longer, or ones that are really special. "Locked Out of Heaven" should continue gaining for a few more weeks, I would imagine. Meanwhile, Loreen moves up to #2, #6, and #14. "Euphoria" continues to outpeak its previous chart run. However, its first chart run was after it had peaked, so it only started at #20, and fell off after 3 weeks. Will "In My Head" take #1 next week? I dunno so don't ask me. -_- 18 songs move upward, 3 debut, 3 fall off, and 19 songs stay the same/fall. The biggest gainer is P!nk's "Try," flying up 18 spots to #15. The biggest faller goes to "Pour It Up," "Dance for You," and "Numb," falling 8 spots each. Poor Taylor Swift. "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" spent the few weeks of its chart life around #39. Same with "Begin Again" lmfao. This one is just due to crazy album track charting, though. Wasn't a big fan of WANEGBT. Idk why I even charted it lmao. However, "I Knew You Were Trouble." debuts at #37, and that is easily going to outpeak both of those songs. Other debuts are "Ready or Not" and "Swimming Pools (Drank)," which is the highest debut, at #31. Falling off are "Lost At Sea," "Love Without Tragedy / Mother Mary," and "What Now." That Rihanna reign just won't let up is letting up. Good to see Locked Out Of Heaven, Kiss You, Girl On Fire, Home, and Beauty And A Beat rising, among others. Also happy to see "Young Girls" on the chart- I'm looking forward to debuting that myself. And a debut for "Ready Or Not" (just as it reached its 18th week on my chart, haha).
Excellent chart!
