I heard "Try" on the radio several times this past week, and I was like "damn this is an amazing song! I need to move this up a lot on my chart" and so I did. lmao

Week of 12-30-2012Last chart of the year! :O Be sure to check out my year-end stuff here! Anyways, a relatively slow week in the top 3, compared to past weeks. 1 and 2 switch, with 3 staying the same. Loreen gets her first #1 with "In My Head." (This is my 20th #1! In only 26 weeks lmao. I'm like the UK charts, t bh.) Ke$ha stays stagnant with "Wonderland" and "Crazy Kids" at #3 and #4, respectively. She also stays stagnant at #10 with "C'Mon." Look for it to surge back up now that it's smashing on radio. I heard it the first time the other day on radio. Meanwhile, "Die Young" falls one spot to #17. Bruno's "Locked Out of Heaven" reaches #7, making top 10 finally. P!nk slows down after a huge gain last week (let's call it a rolling effect, ok?), while this week's greatest gainer, "Swimming Pools (Drank)," has a huge gain just like "Try" last week. Three songs tie for greatest fall: "Gold Trans Am," "Rock Me," and "Slut Like You." All three could potentially fall off next week. 4 songs drop off: "Dance for You," "Drinks for You (Ladies Anthem)," "Kiss You," and "Numb." The songs replacing them are "Ball," "Sidewalk," "Little Things," and "Representin." And of course, "Call Me Maybe," the song on since the very beginning, falls 2 spots to #32. Could this be the end? Who the f**k knows. Week of 01-06-2013First chart of the year! First #1 of the year, and it's a new one too! "Little Talks" appears to be picking up some steam (it looks to be more than just the freeze ending, so hopefully it's about to take off) so it could have a long reign at the top. Although Beyonce and Gaga, whenever they release, are likely to have huge debuts. My longest #1 so far is only 3 weeks, so it won't be too hard for any song to beat this record, now that new releases have died way down, and I am no longer charting new album tracks. Speaking of which, 0 album tracks entered the chart this week, and 2 fell off. There are 13 album tracks left on my chart, I believe. This doesn't include "Pour It Up," which is charting and gaining on both Rhythmic and Urban. I highly doubt the label chooses a different single for those formats, because that would be idiotic. Even if they don't make it a single, that's a perfect example of an eligible song for me to chart with my new rules. If a song is charting top 50 one of the format charts, it is a single in my eyes. :) Bruno scores another top 5 song, with "Locked Out of Heaven" moving up to #4. It's probably peaked, so I'm waiting for the next single to start charting. :) "Spectrum" by F+TM moves up 2 to #7, "Spectrum" by Zedd moves up 2 to enter the top 10 at #10, and "C'Mon" moves up 1 to #9. It has now charted 8 weeks, all in the top 10. Will it make it all the way back to #1 as it continues to smash up the charts? Hopefully. The biggest gain goes to "Ready or Not" (I'm slow, I know), moving up 6 to #25. Loving that song now, even though it's totally peaked. The biggest fall ties between "Moonshine" and "Sidewalk," (lol it's only on it's 2nd week) falling 6 each, to #17 and #39, respectively. Falling off the chart completely are "Gold Trans Am," "Rock Me," and "Too Close." Don't worry 1D fans. "Summer Love" is #11 and "Heart Attack" is #31. "Little Things" moved up 2 spots to #37, and "Kiss You" could very well re-enter next week or so, being a single in the UK at least, and with the video coming out. It looks . Debuting are "Two Black Cadillacs," with the highest debut award, at #27, "Sweet Nothing" at #32, and "Wicked Games" at #38. I still have several songs waiting to chart soon, so the multiple debuts each week should definitely continue. I'm trying to get rid of at least one, preferably two, album tracks per week. I don't want them to steal all the glory, but don't want to remove them all at once. Trying to make this as smooth as possible. Week of 01-13-2013"Little Talks" spends a second week at #1, the first number one to do so since "Run," all the way back on 9/23 and 9/30! :O 13 songs spent 1 week at #1, each, between the two. The only other multi-week #1s are "Push and Shove," "Good Time," and "Call Me Maybe," with 2 weeks each, and "Titanium" at 3 weeks, the current record. Also, "Little Talks" is in its 15th week on the chart. 9 other #1s have charted 15 or more weeks: "Call Me Maybe" (28, still charting), "I Am Your Leader" (15), "Titanium" (15), "Good Time" (18), "Run" (20), "Pound the Alarm" (19), "One More Night" (15), "Blown Away" (15), and "Die Young" (15, still charting). It will pass all but "Call Me Maybe" easily. "Die Young" is still charting, but has peaked and is now only #24. "Locked Out of Heaven" reaches a new peak of #2, and that's likely where it will peak. It really only saw that big movement due to some album tracks falling hard. More on that later. "My Heart Is Refusing Me" also hit a new peak of #3. "C'Mon" made a big movement up to #4. Definitely a #1 contender (again) in the future, but new music from Justin Timberlake, Beyonce, and (hopefully) Lady Gaga very soon will shake my chart up for sure. "Swimming Pools (Drank)" makes the biggest gain, 8 spots, to #5, another new peak. Right below that is One Direction with "Kiss You," re-entering, reaching a new peak of #6 due to the new video. It's a UK (maybe other countries too?) single so it's eligible to chart. "Try" also moves up 5 to #7, yet another new peak. The biggest fallers (there are 3 of them) fell 10 spots each: "Moonshine," "I'm Legit," and "I Endorse These Strippers." Ouch. The highest debut goes to Christina Aguilera (and Blake Shelton) with "Just a Fool" at #34. The two other "new" songs are both re-entries: the aforementioned "Kiss You" and "Clarity" by Zedd feat. Foxes. This is an official single, and the video came out, spurring the movement. I don't expect it to do anything on the real charts, though. "Call Me Maybe" is still alive, 28 weeks in, but fell 3 spots to #38. I see it staying around a few more weeks as album tracks take bigger falls, but not for too much longer. :'( 11 album tracks remain, with 3 falling off. Guess I couldn't count last week. Idk.
Ok, so I'm looking into a certification system. I will have to experiment with things and see how things turn out with my current (very basic) point thresholds. I probably will end up doing a huge point overhaul for my year-end point system, and then the certification threshold as well. What a flawless top two. And Kiss You and Little Things, too! I see B&AB, Home and Sweet Nothing holding strong as well. Great chart!

Week of 01-20-2013"Little Talks" holds at #1 for a 3rd week. This ties with "Titanium" for the longest running #1. As you can tell, though, my chart is much calmer with no more new album tracks. (Speaking of which, 2 album tracks fell off this week, leaving only 9 left. 2 are basically locks to fall off next week, with 3 or even 4 possible.) There's still a healthy number of debuts each week, but that's mostly from album tracks falling off and making way for new singles. :) Will Of Monsters and Men get a 4th week at #1, or will Kendrick take the top spot next week? Stay tuned! Kendrick moves up 3 to #2 this week The top debut of the week is "Suit & Tie" at #3. This is Justin Timberlake's first single to chart and Jay-Z's 3rd (this is his first as a feature, though). Obviously this is Justin's first chance, though. "C'Mon" holds at #4 for a 2nd week, stalled out by Justin's debut. She's still got a long ways to grow on radio so she's not nearly out of the game yet. :) "Kiss You" and "Try" both move up 1 spot. Meanwhile Bruno's first single reached a peak of #2. He has a #1 in "Natalie," but only as an album track. Hopefully it becomes a single in the future, though. Other big movements go to "Pour it Up," the biggest gainer with 7 spots gained, "Girl On Fire" and "Home," and "Just a Fool," up 4 each. The biggest fall goes to "Moonshine," falling 12 spots. Look for Bruno to have a terrible week next week, with "Moonshine" and "Young Girls" likely to fall off, and "Locked Out of Heaven" continuing its descent. It will probably slow down a bit, though. "When I Was Your Man" is looking to be a debut next week, though, so all won't be bad. Overall it shouldn't be as bad as Nicki had it this week. All 3 dropping songs were hers, and my chart is Nicki free (as a lead artist). She is still featured on "Girl on Fire" and "Beauty and a Beat." "Freedom" might debut, though, spurred on by its resurge on urban. Glad to see her getting some urban support again. The other two debuts are "Figure 8" by Ellie Goulding (a UK single) at #27 and "Don't Stop the Party" by Pitbull at #34.
Still working on the certification system. Been trying out Slizzard's system. Well, trying to. Finally got it all set up just have to put it in Excel to try it out. Great chart, Josh! :) So far, 22/40! Glad to see that "Suit & Tie" has debuted at #3 :o Also, good to see "Little Talks", "C'mon", "Try" and both "Spectrum" (I guess it's not the Calvin Harris-remixed version as you don't include the 'Say My Name' nor his name on it) on your top 10. I hope "Clarity" could climb more as well :)

I love (F+TM's) "Spectrum," both the original and the Calvin remix. Since I like both I put just the original. :)
