2014 Year-End Albums (20-16) Position | Artist | Album | Album Cover | 2014 WOC | Songs Charted | Commentary | 20 | Christina Perri | Head or Heart | | 19 | 1. Human (#18) | I only like a couple songs of hers, and didn't care for anything else I heard based on iTunes previews. See my thoughts on this song later! | 19 | One Direction | Midnight Memories | | 26 | 1. You & I (#28) 2. Story of My Life (#158) 3. Midnight Memories (#241) | Definitely in their bottom 2 albums, and I don't like it nearly as much as their first 2 albums. Really, I've only listened to the singles, as it has never really drawn me in to listen repeatedly. "You & I" is great, though. | 18 | ZHU | THE NIGHTDAY | | 23 | 1. Faded (#50) 2. Stay Closer (#89) 3. Paradise Awaits (#273) | I haven't listened to the full EP yet, but I listened to iTunes previews before and wasn't impressed. However, "Parardise Awaits" originally did not grab my attention but I'm getting into it now, so I'm going to have to check the full thing out again. I'm loving the 3 songs of his I have so far, so it should be good. | 17 | Phantogram | Voices | | 20 | 1. Fall In Love (#19) 2. Black Out Days (#197) | "Fall In Love" is amazing, but I think they're basically going to be a one hit wonder to me. "Black Out Days" was nice for a little bit, but nothing I want to listen to anymore. Everything else I've tried of theirs just didn't click, but oh well. | 16 | Tinashe | Aquarius | | 19 | 1. 2 On (#16) 2. Pretend (#261) | Another artist I think will be a one hit wonder. "2 On" is great, although I could use a solo version, and "Pretend" was alright for a while. I've tried some other songs of hers but nothing clicked. It's sad given how much love she gets from so many other people. Oh well. |

Good to see Do It Again at #1 (finally ) Also a great debut by Ellie I know, only like a year late. :'( Ellie I didn't even make it through the song the first time, the 2nd time made it all the way through, the 3rd I started to maybe like it and decided to chart it. :) Not sure how it will do yet, though. Great to see GDFR debut and Shut Up And Dance and Geronimo rising. Great chart :) Thanks! yay now ellie can break the record next week with a 46-spot jump to #1. Haha I doubt it. Plus she would only tie "Luna" for a 47-1 jump. Love Me Like you Do is IN! Great chart! Thanks! Also, can you add me to your tags? Done!

"Do It Again" is absolutely perfect. Late or not, glad it hit no. 1. It peaked far too low on mine. Is "Bitch I'm Madonna" a single that I missed? Or are you just randomly charting it? Either way, I think it's growing on me. Hopefully "Shut Up and Dance", "Talking Body", "Geronimo", "Stuck On A Feeling", "Uma Thurman", "Ultraviolence", "Too Cool To Dance", "Ring Off", "Heartbeat Song", and "Lighthouse" keep rising. Oh, and it's great to see "Love Me Like You Do", "Feeling Myself", and "I Bet" debut. YES at your flashback week. <3 Fantastic chart, Josh! :)

Either way, I think it's growing on me. Not a single, but it's a pre-order track, so it's eligible to chart, just like the other 5 songs. "Devil Pray" will probably be the next song I chart. :) Hopefully "Shut Up and Dance", "Talking Body", "Geronimo", "Stuck On A Feeling", "Uma Thurman", "Ultraviolence", "Too Cool To Dance", "Ring Off", "Heartbeat Song", and "Lighthouse" keep rising. Is the first week of February awesome #1 week? How did I miss the huge jump Do It Again made last week? I love that song! I mean it was #1 back in September for me, but I'm glad you got around to it eventually! ANd Air Balloon <3

She Knows! Any shot of going #1 soon? Wow Gwen's Spark The Fire is kind of slaying your chart. Slay, lmao. Climb Heroes, Ring Off, and Ayo!

2014 Year-End Songs (25-11) Position | Song | Artist | Single Cover | 2014 Peak | 2014 WOC | 2014 Points | 2014 Certs | 2014 Chart Run | Commentary | 25 | Senile | Young Money feat. Tyga, Nicki Minaj, and Lil Wayne | | 2 | 12 | 27964.0 | 3x Platinum | 29-6-2-2-2-2-4-5-8-13-28-32* | I'm so sad this was not an official single. It's too hot not to have been. :'( This benefitted from the rule change allowing songs with videos to chart, even if the rule change didn't take place for a few months after the video. Tyga's verse on "Bubblegum" got me back into this, so this was partially responsible for the rule change in a way. It's just so good. The production is fire, Tyga is great, Nicki is great, and Wayne is decent as well. Love it. | 24 | Paranoid | Ty Dolla $ign feat. B.o.B | | 9 | 20 | 30997.5 | 4x Platinum | 43-26-18-13-10-9-10-12-12-13-14-13-10-12-16-17-19-22-33-41 | Such a great song. I'm not really sick of this, still. It didn't have a super high peak, but it lingered near the top 10 for quite a while, which pushed it up there. | 23 | Satisfy | Nero | | 1 [3 weeks] | 14 | 31197.1 | 4x Platinum | 43-10-5-2-1-1-1-2-2-4-9-13-27-36 | This song is amazing. This is the first I've gotten into Nero, and I am loving it. I really should check out more of their stuff. | 22 | Cut the Kid | Madeon | | 3 | 22 | 31499.9 | 4x Platinum | 48-41-28-18-12-9-7-8-13-24-29-34-27-29-22-15-8-5-3-7-25-48 | A free song from Madeon, apparently (I believe) produced a couple years ago. Regardless, it's really good. It had a weird run, peaking at #7, dropping to #34, then rebounding to #3, then quickly falling off the chart. | 21 | Knee Deep In My Heart | Shane Filan | | 4 | 23 | 31699.0 | 4x Platinum | 32-15-4-4-4-4-5-7-11-13-17-22-22-24-25-30-31-34-38-43-44-41-48 | This song flopped, but it did amazing on my chart. Love it, and I have a new potential artist to stan for. I should really listen to his album already. | 20 | Turn Down for What | DJ Snake and Lil Jon | | 6 | 27 | 32081.6 | 4x Platinum | 35-9-6-9-6-6-8-8-14-16-21-19-24-25-25-29-31-29-31-30-33-37-33-41-38-38-39 | Such a random, big hit last year. Love the production, and Lil Jon's shouting is actually somewhat tolerable! | 19 | Fall In Love | Phantogram | | 1 [2 weeks] | 15 | 32085.9 | 4x Platinum | 40-2-1-1-2-2-5-5-4-6-10-17-24-33-47 | This song grew on me very quickly, hence the large jump, but had a high burn rate. I enjoy it again, although it will probably be Phantogram's only hit. | 18 | Human | Christina Perri | | 1 [2 weeks] | 19 | 32564.5 | 4x Platinum | 50-16-4-2-1-1-2-3-3-7-10-16-23-31-36-35-34-36-45 | It took me a while to get into this song, but once I did, I loved it. So amazing and beautiful. I still think she looks super weird on the cover, though. | 17 | Break Free | Ariana Grande feat. Zedd | | 1 [3 weeks] | 19 | 32752.7 | 4x Platinum | 3-1-1-1-2-3-7-7-14-16-19-19-19-23-34-40-46-43-47 | This might be a bit generic, but it's still a strong, very catchy song. One of Zedd's best productions, and Ariana slays the vocals. Very instant and I still love it. | 16 | 2 On | Tinashe feat. ScHoolboy Q | | 2 | 17 | 34695.6 | 4x Platinum | 29-13-8-6-4-3-4-3-3-2-6-7-12-14-26-36-49 | This one took a bit to grow on me, but it's very good. If it had been solo it might have hit #1, but alas. That rap just sucks. | 15 | Love Me Harder | Ariana Grande and The Weeknd | | 1 [4 weeks] | 12 | 35299.5 | 4x Platinum | 28-5-1-1-1-1-2-2-3-4-4-5* | This song is amazing. Like many others have said, it is very reminiscent of Do What U Want, which is absolutely a good thing. Love it. | 14 | Can We Dance | The Vamps | | 7 | 20 | 36001.5 | 5x Platinum | 43-17-14-12-9-9-10-8-7-8-9-9-7-9-10-11-21-26-31-41 | I didn't like this one at first, but I got into it after I got into "Wild Heart." I charted it a bit too early, which made it not perform the best it could have, but it still did great, so I can't complain too much. | 13 | Do What U Want | Lady Gaga feat. R. Kelly | | 1 [1 week] | 28 | 37883.9 | 5x Platinum | 1-2-3-4-5-8-8-10-9-10-13-15-17-22-24-24-24-29-30-32-36-38-39-40-40-40-44-48 | So this actually managed to get over half of its chart points from 2015, which is kind of crazy considering it racked up 10 weeks at #1 in 2014, but I guess those 28 weeks in 2015 won out. This is still amazing and one of Gaga's best songs. I would definitely enjoy more music along these lines from her. | 12 | Touchin, Lovin | Trey Songz feat. Nicki Minaj | | 7 | 23 | 38007.6 | 5x Platinum | 43-18-12-9-10-8-8-7-9-10-13-13-9-12-15-19-20-16-20-24-29-35-45 | This one never had a huge peak, but it had great longevity around the #10 area, which helped it rack up a ton of points. Nicki slays, and the song overall is amazing. | 11 | Control | Matrix & Futurebound feat. Max Marshall | | 3 | 27 | 38537.6 | 5x Platinum | 45-11-7-3-3-3-5-7-6-11-13-16-19-18-20-21-23-22-26-28-31-35-32-39-36-39-44 | This song is definitely generic, but something about it really caught my attention. I'm not quite sure what, but this was definitely a big hit. |
*still charting

I forgot you liked Control that much. Not my favourite, but cool to see.
