Lianne La Havas gives up the number-one spot to Imagine Dragons, who score their first #1 with "Radioactive." While the lead radio single, "It's Time," falls this week (16-21), radio support should keep it charting for a while. Meanwhile, multiple singles from both artists' albums are making steady gains on the chart.
This week's greatest debut goes to Adele, who comes in at #3 on just one day's listens to "Skyfall," the theme song for this year's new Bond movie. With the new entry, she returns to the chart after taking the summer off; "Rumour Has It" left the chart in early June. Calvin Harris and Florence Welch barely miss a top-ten debut with "Sweet Nothing," from Harris's upcoming album
18 Months. Hunter Hayes and Kacey Musgraves both add a little country to the top twenty with their chart debuts, "Wanted" and "Merry Go Round."
As the trend seems to be lately, new entries reach into the double-digits this week. Below the top twenty, the debuts are dominated by selections from No Doubt's new album,
Push And Shove. Lianne La Havas, Wax Poetic, Bruno Mars, Delta Rae, Christina Aguilera, Muse, and Ke$ha all enter as well.
Next week, look for Imagine Dragons to fall from #1 after one week, turning over the throne to "Skyfall," which will probably have a multi-week run at the top. In addition to the New & Active songs noted below, look for potential entries from Rihanna, One Direction, Miguel, Ellie Goulding, and The Script.

I try to keep my chart (which has fifty slots reported, though I keep track of a top 100) updated every week, hopefully every Thursday night once the school year starts.
It'll probably stick around for a bit (if not within the top 50, then slightly below--my chart playlist goes to 100), but all of the releases in September are taking things over. Of course, it'll get more play from me as well once the album's out, so it'll probably increase then as well.
