This is already a major grower on me. What it lacks in a hook, it sure makes up for in its verses and overall mood. This is a huge Fall '05 Hot AC HIT!!!

A week prior to impact, it's most added at Hot AC with 27 adds and second most added at Triple A with 11 adds.

I like her, but I hate the fact that she's always nominated for a Grammy. That's just bullsh*t.

I saw the video on VH1 twice this morning. It's basically Sheryl walking through a hippy landscape animation. She looks incredible in the video though.

I saw it too. She does look good (perhaps one of the world's hottest women over 40), but the song just doesn't work for me.

I have no idea why people are saying there's "no hook"... it's hooky in general!

Why do people keep on saying there's no hook?

With this song, Sheryl ties Madonna for most hits on the HAC chart, 16. This includes Sheryl's performance on "Picture" by Kid Rock.

This is almost hookless. I had to actually listen back to see if I could find it. I've never thought anything she's done is really bad, but this has to be her weakest lead single to date and one of her weakest period. The lyrics are pretty weak for her too. That opening line made me cringe. "Good is good and bad is bad." Okay.. I agree with you. I don't not like many of Sheryl's songs, but this one is bad and bland. This song does not a thing for me. She could also use her voice more, although unfortunately she really can't hit high notes.

I love this song... it went from being meh, to this is OK, to this is great, to love. It's not as good as her other songs but there is something about it that I like a lot, moreso than any single she's done since the Globe Sessions era. From C'mon C'mon through her Very Best Of, it seems like she's been stuck and I think with this new album/single, she'll be back on track.

I like her, but I hate the fact that she's always nominated for a Grammy. That's just bullsh*t. Expect this one to get another grammy nomination. I wonder how many "oops" she had to give to get all those grammies.

I wonder how many "oops" she had to give to get all those grammies. I believe this one really deserves one though. I find it to be her best lead single since her self-titled album era, and her best single since "Steve McQueen" Sincerely, Noah Eaton

At first this was down there with "Steve McQueen," "C'mon, C'mon," and "Picture" as one of my least favorites by Sheryl. Now I really like it. A lot of people seem to be saying that this song was a grower. I think that may be what's hurting it. So either it's going to flop for her, or it's going to become a hit in March.

Number 4 on AAA this week. Up from 7.
Good work, still haven't heard this one yet.

I agree with everyone who's said that this is a grower. I thought it was OK when I first heard it, but now it's one of my favorite songs right now.

Sheryl seems to be a rare artist who consistently releases good singles. (The only exception being "If it Makes You Happy", and not counting the two following "Strong Enough", as I've never heard those two.)
This song does not a trend break.[/font]

??? You don't like If It Makes You Happy?! That is my favorite single from her, PERIOD. Probably one of my favorite singles from any artist!
hehe I've just never met anyone who doesn't like it :)

I love this song... it went from being meh, to this is OK, to this is great, to love like a lot. The same transition I went through with this song. At first it was horribly bland, then it became a little catchy and I began giving it more attention, then "Wow, this is actually good", to "I'm charting/debuting this today".

Not music related, but I read she is getting married sometime next year to retiring bike rider Lance Armstrong :)
