This song goes for adds February 2nd. I thought the title track was the next single? Is this song good?

Dido's record label is being so stupid.... "Life for Rent" is the next POP single, and "Don't Leave Home" is the next HAC single. I can tell you that "LFR" will not go anywhere at Pop, but would be a decent-sized HAC hit. Now "Don't Leave Home" is a great song but way too slow and mellow for radio. Dido is screwing herself over with this 2 singles at once thing. She should just send "LFR" to HAC and then send it to Pop after it builds at HAC.

Seems like it's being done more than usual nowadays with artists releasing two singles at a time. Although having it happen with Hot AC/AC and CHR/Pop is more rare, unless it's due to crossover lag which doesn't really count.

IMO, doesn't matter what she releases, radio will not play it. They seems to only like first singles and even though Dido has a huge hype, I doubt any of her follow ups will crack Hot AC top 20.

I'm shocked this is being released instead of Life For Rent to HAC... LFR would be a hit IMO. I think Don't Leave Home would have made a good third release to HAC w/either a remix of Stoned or Sand in My Shoes to Pop as single 3. I just hope the 2 don't cancel each other out

Songs with rock instruments can be much bigger hits on CHR-Pop than Hot Adult Contemporary like "Headstrong" and "She Hates Me" or much more popular on Hot Adult Contemporary than CHR-Pop like Josh Kelly: "Amazing" and Sarah McLachlan: "Fallen." Dido has already gone Top 20 on Hot Adult Contemporary with "Hunter" which did not chart and I think did not go for adds on CHR-Pop, so why should Don't Leave Home" do worse. "White Flag" could cause less recurrentitis than "ThankYou" did (not a mistake, it was posted that "ThankYou" is written as one word). On the other side, I don't expect much out of "Life For Rent" on CHR-Pop. There are also songs on the Hot Adult Contemporary chart after CHR-Pop was on the next single.

That is truly stupid to release these two songs at once. "Life For Rent" is her only other chance for a hit. Or atleast that is how I see it. I have been truly disappointed with Dido's new album. There really isn't that many quality single choices

Don't get me wrong "Life For Rent" and "White Flag" are two of my favorite singles right now but I find alot of the other stuff on her new cd to be boring. "No Angel" was brillant and ground-breaking in my opinion but LFR is neither.

I love Dido's voice and loved White Flag. So I purchased her album. What a disappointment. White Flag is by far the superior song on the album. I've listened to the album numerous times at work but it really is just background noise. I'm really quite surprised that this album is selling so well around the globe. I guess I must be expecting too much out of new music lately. I hate to continue to be negative about a lot of music because I do love music, it's just that a lot of new stuff hasn't connected with me even from artists that I do like (ie Sarah M.).

I really hope at one point, they'll release "Sand In My Shoes." That one is simply screaming to become a single.

I LOVE Don't Leave Home. When I first heard it, I thought it could be a big hit on Pop. Why would she release two singles!? Ugh. She should try Life For Rent first and then try Don't Leave Home.

I agree that what I've heard of this new album is boring. I'll check this new single out, but from what y'all are saying I doubt I'll like it. I think it's a shame Feels Like Fire wasn't released as a single. It was the best track on that Santana album.

I agree that what I've heard of this new album is boring. Wow, from White Flag alone that judgement comes into place

Teen mag. said that Life For Rent should have been nom. for a grammy as best album. I think Life For Rent should have been the 2nd single on all the fomats, 2 songs at once ???
Since Dido is a Hot AC and AC artist these two formats will most likely be playing both of her songs at once and kill each. At least POP gets the better Life For Rent.

Is the song DOA? 2 stations play it as of now: WBNS-FM Columbus & KRSK-FM Portland.

She is releasing two songs at once? I thought she dropped LFR completely in favor of this song.
Anyway, DLH is an okay song, but I don't see this doing anything. Plus, LFR is a much better song anyway. I think they need to sweep this under the crug and release LFR to all formats.

Going for Adds at Hot AC this week, so unless they're re-releasing it must have been cancelled at the last minute.

They've given up on LFR? ???
I saw the video for LFR somewhere on the web and I like it a lot.
Anyways, let's hope this does well.

AOL First Listen is premiering the video this weekend - it's very good! So I guess it's going for adds now finally after all? Meanwhile, "White Flag" is scaling back up the Hot 100!

I didn't know where to post this, but damn.
This song entered the UK charts at #25. :o
I'm guessing everyone in the UK probably has the album by now, so there's no need in investing in the singles?

Yeah this song is really taking off, I believe it was at +273 only behind Hoobastank for fastest moving song. This should be a popular one this summer with all the songs that seem to be able to make their way out on the Hot AC chart. Hopefully new Maroon5, Blink182, LLB, and The Corrs can get up there too.
