Hmm I am going to have to check this out. I thought TFCITD was the only "new" track on her greatest hits cd.

This is a great song, very radio-friendly for all of her formats. Hopefully it will do well. Predictions: Triple A: how well did "TFCITD" do? Hot AC: #9 Pop: #26 AC: #17 It even has a nice country sound but country doesn't play anything but country.

It even has a nice country sound but country doesn't play anything but country. Heck, if Sheryl's "The First Cut Is The Deepest", MercyMe's "I Can Only Imagine", and Kelly Clarkson's "A Moment Like This" could crack the top 50 (and even top 40) of the country chart, I think anything is possible.

I think this song will do relatively well if they sent it to HotAC, at least top twenty...but it would probably be better if they didn't ship it to pop unless it becomes a suprise smash on HotAC.

Wonder if the other "crows" who have released a Greatest Hits album recently, Counting Crows, will release a second single from their album, the Grateful Dead cover of "Friend Of The Devil"
Sheryl Crow should have another decent hit off this one.
Predicted Peaks:
Hot AC: #8 Triple A: #5 CHR/Pop: (if it goes Top 10 on Hot AC: #33
Sincerely, Noah Eaton

This song is really starting to grow on me, it sounds like a Sheryl Crow Classic, I love the bridge when she sings "Thank you, thank you."

Sheryl Crow's "Light in Your Eyes" is lighting up radio this week as it goes Most Added at Hot AC and Triple A. The song gains 30 adds at Hot AC while also achieving New & Active status, while, over at Triple A, it earns 14 adds. Crow will tour the U.K. in late June, including a performance at Fitzgerald Stadium in Killarney, Ireland with The Corrs on June 26.

Sheryl Crow's 15th chart entry on the Adult Top 40 chart is "Light in Your Eyes" (A&M/Interscope), which debuts at No. 31. Crow now has more entries on this chart than any other artist. Previously, she was tied with Madonna, who is now in second place with 14 Adult Top 40 tracks.

SHERYL CROW Light in Your Eyes Producer(s): John Shanks Writer(s): S. Crow, J. Shanks Publisher(s): Warner-Tamerlane Publishing/Old Crow Music (BMI)/WB Music/Dylan Jackson Music (ASCAP) Label/Catalog Number: A&M 11135-2 (CD promo) Source: Billboard Magazine Originally Reviewed: June 05, 2004 Though this track from last year's set "The Very Best of Sheryl Crow" was previously unreleased, it is nonetheless deserved placement on that greatest-hits collection. Like so much of Crow's music, "Light in Your Eyes" sounds like a classic rock track recorded decades earlier, awash in warm acoustic and electric guitar textures. Following a George Harrison- esque slide-guitar intro, Crow delivers an upbeat, quasi-religious pep talk, as in the absolutely irresistible chorus: "You got to talk to the one who made you/Talk to the one who understands/ Talk to the one who gave you/ All the light in your eyes." Lyrically this is closer to "Soak Up the Sun" than "My Favorite Mistake" and every bit as catchy and fun as the former—and there is nothing wrong with that. This is indeed one of Crow's best.—CW

Your're referring to BB's Adult Top 40 chart, right? Madonna has had 16 charted songs on R&R's Hot AC chart: Song - Debut Date - Peak 1. I'll Remember 4/22/94* 1 2. Secret 9/30/94 1 3. Take a Bow 12/16/94 1 4. You'll See 10/27/95 3 5. Love Don't Live Here Anymore 4/26/96 26 6. You Must Love Me 10/18/96 16 7. Don't Cry for Me Argentina 1/17/97 12 8. Frozen 2/27/98 9 9. Ray of Light 6/26/98 30 10. Beautiful Stranger 6/11/99 8 11. American Pie 2/11/00 19 12. Music 9/1/00 14 13. Don't Tell Me 12/22/00 4 14. What It Feels Like for a Girl 5/18/01 22 15. Die Another Day 10/18/02 24 16. Hollywood 6/13/03 35 Sheryl Crow's 15th chart entry on the Adult Top 40 chart is "Light in Your Eyes" (A&M/Interscope), which debuts at No. 31. Crow now has more entries on this chart than any other artist. Previously, she was tied with Madonna, who is now in second place with 14 Adult Top 40 tracks.

Rob Thomas will take this over in about a year:
1. Long Day 2. Push 3. 3 am 4. Real World 5. Back 2 Good 6. Smooth 7. Bent 8. If You're Gone 9. Mad Season 10. Last Beautiful Girl 11. Disease 12. Unwell 13. Bright Lights 14. Downfall 15. Solo release 1 16. Solo release 2 17. Solo release 3
However, Light In Your Eyes is an excellent song, too bad it hasn't been that successful.

Rob Thomas will take this over in about a year: 1. Long Day Don't think Long Day made the Hot AC charts, however, if re-released I bet it would.

Almost 80% of every song that makes it to the top 10 at loses it bullet for some reason, but it always seems to pick back up. Everyone was saying the same thing about "UNWELL" last year at POP. It finally made it to #3 and #1 at Hot AC for WEEKS!!!!! I think it's just some stations might cut the spins like 3or 4 but you take 3 or 4 spins away at like 50 stations and you've lost 180+ spins and then when another 20 kick it into power it usually regains it's bullet and now that First Cut is falling I see this making the Top 10 at Hot AC and the Top 40 at Pop.
Hot AC- #9 Pop- #32
