From now on, any topic that is started in this forum that is specific to a song must have a reliable source in the first post of the topic to show that it is officially a single for this format. This is to prevent topics of non-singles from crowding the forums since the format forums are for discussion of chart activity for official or active songs in this format as per Rule 12 of the Rules & Guidelines:
"Chart Forums β For discussion of charting singles and singles going for adds. These can also be used to discuss the state of each format and individual stations in the format. One topic per song."
A reliable source includes a Going For Adds date from AllAccess, FMQB or any other major radio/chart website, an artists' website, a press release, etc. If it is a source other than AllAccess or FMQB, a link must be provided, otherwise the topic will be locked and/or moved to the Album Tracks forum.
In the event a song is getting significant airplay at a particular format but no official word of its release is available, a topic for it will be deemed acceptable. Significant airplay would consist of a significant gain in spins over a short period of time (such as a sudden 100+ gain that would indicate a song is the next single or will be a hit on that format).
Please refrain from making a topic on a song in one format forum just because it has been confirmed as a single on another format until it has been confirmed that it will crossover. In the event that a song's release has been confirmed but a format to which it will be sent has not been specified, place the topic in the format to which it would be most likely (such as the artists' home format or the format in which previous singles were released first) until a later time. If a song ends up getting enough airplay to justify a topic in another format forum, it will come.
Please note that this rule applies to any topic created after this post. Any topic made beforehand that has not already been confirmed as an official single at this format will be locked/moved to the Album Tracks forum unless a source is provided.
Any speculation on what an artist's next single(s) will be can go in that artists' discussion topic in the appropriate Music News sections.
