Rolling Stone: 2/5 Stars You can measure a singer's place in the pop-star pecking order by the quality of the Max Martin/Shellback song she releases. For Xtina, the news ain't good. "Your Body" is a sluggish and nearly hookless hookup anthem, apparently dredged from that part of the Stockholm harbor where the Swedish hitmakers toss their D-list material. www.rollingstone.com/music/songreviews/your-body-20120925?stop_mobi=yes

Yeah, I don't quite get all the talk of the song having no "hook". The hook is very clear (whether or not people think said hook is effective is debatable). Both the chorus and the bridge are very catchy in my opinion.

Rolling STone is right on the money with their review.

Rolling STone is right on the money with their review. I absolutely do not like the song from it's lyrics to even the vocals; however, I completely disagree with Rolling Stone about it being "hookless". To me, it has a 90s-esque hook which is quite memorable. That being said, I feel that the lyrics are cringe-worthy and reek of a desperate, embarrassing attempt for any artist, let alone a 32 year old single mother and extremely talented vocalist, to make a comeback in her music career.

I think it's catchy. Maybe not extremely catchy, but it's not hookless by any means. I do think there's a certain awkwardness to the chorus because 'I want to fuck your body' isn't something people really say. Is it? I don't think it is. It doesn't exactly trip off the tongue.
Regardless, I still think this is a top three hit waiting to happen. I might understand the panicking over its iTunes position if it wasn't exploding on Pop, but there's really nothing to worry about. At all.

I believe she has called in to that show before. She loves Andy. :) She needs to actually be a guest on that show. I bet she'd be hilarious.

Decent adds and airplay. The Itunes position does concern me because I feel like truly awful sales indicates it isn't clicking with the general public. However, it hasn't collapsed just yet and has shown some growth off and on for the past day or two. I would be more concerned if it had fallen lower than 50. Plus, I have to believe they have some promo or "tricks" up their sleeves. A performance has to happen somewhere at some point. We have the video coming up. They could also discount it or release the explicit/remixes since that is the trend now It isn't a dire situation just yet especially since adds and airplay are rolling in.

I feel like everyone is worrying about iTunes way too much. The song doesn't even have 20 million overall audience yet, so it's probably not even top 50 airplay at this point. It's still top 30 on iTunes and seems to be stable there. As airplay grows so will this. Plus she hasn't performed it anywhere or released the video yet, so those are boosts that will help it. However nothing is needed yet, imo.

Its iTunes position is solid. Nothing to complain about from my perspective.

It looks like a mix of "Teenage Dream", "Take it Off" and a dash of some old school Dixie Chicks.

Christina fans keep trying thinking she is in the league of other pop divas, e.g. Britney, Ke$ha, Katy, Rihanna, or Gaga. She is at the bottom of the list, hate to say, so her sales positions are to be expected.

#32 on iTunes.
They need to release the video stat.
Oh, and drop the "same league as Britney, Katy etc..." discussion now, please. Let's nip that in the butt before it has a chance to get ugly.
