I heard this once on the radio. First impression...starts strong, grabs my interest, I know it's Christina's new single, then it starts to drag on and on, and then she kicks into some of her vocal runs that just kills a lot of her music for me. Overall...disappointed. B--

The song is holding up well, and Adele's new song got a very disappointing update today, so it looks like she won't be flying up the charts anytime soon, which will be in favor of this song. Now only Kelly's song is coming to worry about.

I haven't listened to the radio in MONTHS until last night and I heard this on Z100 and another CT radio station within 5 minutes each other. The CT radio station actually played the Country Crew Martini Mix. Looks like they must have officially commissioned it!

No, they probably just played the CCM mix of their own volition. It's definitely a bootleg remix (although the guy behind it must have some great connections because it DOES use the official acappella).

Seriously, I'm not particularly a fan of Christina Aguilera but I really love this song.

Great! Although she's going to fall to No. 24 and get passed by Bruno Mars this week.

You guys realize that in spite of her image, her album cover, promo, iTunes, whatever it is you're bitching about...
that this is still actually a really good song, right?

Now only Kelly's song is coming to worry about. What? Adele is very much a threat as is bruno and rihanna. Usher could be too if he is consistent. I think that if she could log a top 20 placement before they come up from the rear then whatever happens after that will be what it is.

And, yet, still true. You may not care for it, but it's a much much stronger song than NMT. (And surely including something like "Diamonds").

EXACTLY. Compared to NMT this is better, however it is still not a strong single/song for me. Lyrically it's nothing too compelling and while it is vocally good, it's not her strongest either. I am still iffy about Diamonds but I think it's stronger than this because of the message and Rihanna's delivery, it is something different then what is on radio. I personally want this to succeed because it is Christina, Stripped is one of my top 10 albums ever, but I also want music from her that I enjoy again.

This is #130 in airplay and #68 in TV play in the UK. Going well, with just a little less than a month before its release!

For as much as I dislike everything about this era regarding promo and that cover, I have heard generally positive comments about the song from everywhere except Pulse. Like, my casual music loving friends like it, other internet message boards had generally positive reviews, etc. If given a chance it could be a hit. Christina and her team seem determined to make it flop, but it could be a hit.

It looks to me like it is destined to flop unless something turns it around right quick.

I don't think the public was eagerly anticipating another slut anthem from Christina. "Your Body" is fine and all for what it is, but why couldn't she be singing something like "Try" or "Give Your Heart a Break"? Something with actual substance? It would be a good look for her.

I dont get how this is so different then everything else, lol Christina the trendsetter used the most overused producer known to man. I think he gave her a shitty song, but I am sure he has bigger artists to worry about.
I find this generic and she could do so much better. She just needs to pipe it down a little and let the melody shine through.

Maybe the song with actual substance will be the second single? Most likely, really. I doubt they'd put out another song with a similar theme. Whatever their plan was, I think this would have done better earlier this year. It seems like it might get lost with all these new releases.

But then I'd have to question why they released this generic slice of Max Martin first. She really needed to set herself apart and make people take notice again, and I don't think she achieved that.

Christina and her team seem determined to make it flop, but it could be a hit. But Pulse has been pretty positive about it, in general? Lead singles by the big females are always under tremendous scrutiny here, and the general response to this was like "Wow, a Christina song that isn't bad!" Not overwhelmingly positive, but far more positive than the people I know irl. I was on a weekend get away with my best girl and gay friends and I played this, and I was the only one who liked it (though by the end two others were singing along to the "oh oh ohs" in the chorus). I know the friend thing is irrelevant, but my point is is that I'm not hearing anything about this song outside of Pulse anywhere. They need to do something with it.

I actually still like this song after a week. I guess I just like it now. It's a durable track. Added to iTunes fall 2012 playlist.

All I am seeing is omg its soooo generic omg this isn't a hit omg this isn't a comeback and the occasional NMT WAS BETTER. Everywhere else I am seeing I really like/love this or Christina's back type comments after hearing the song. I don't read every post on here so maybe I am just around when the more negative people are lol. The generic criticism seems kind of bizarre to me anyway. Every pop star pretty much releases cover songs of other hit songs now. They do that for a reason-people want generic, safe, bland songs regurgitated back to them. Those songs smash hit more often than not. It makes perfect sense to me why they would do the same with Christina rather than releasing something risky. Of course, you can be too safe, but if you look at the numbers it isn't usually the risky songs flying wildly up the charts while everyone screams EPIC LEGEND!!!! (A few notable exceptions before anyone mentions Adele)

I think that if she could log a top 20 placement before they come up from the rear then whatever happens after that will be what it is. Well what I meant was Bruno's been out for a week now, so he's going to start slowing down some, plus lose spins on his 9th day (1st day only had a few hours). As of right now, Adele is only getting about +50 spins daily, so this is beating her daily. Yes I expect Bruno will pass this, but by then he will have slowed down some, and not be eating up possible spins for this song quite as much. I said only Kelly is to look out for because she seems to be the only song coming out soon that will get (possibly) a Clear Channel deal, which helps take away spins from other songs, including this. Anyways good update today, hopefully this continues to move along getting at least +50 daily. :)

Adele is getting about as many spins as pop could possibly justify giving her TBQH. I think this will be a shoe in for Top 10 at some point. XTina's record company needs to stay the course and also do a feature performance on The Voice.
