This song stalling is gonna further delay the label sending a better second single just in time to promote the album. They're moving so slow with this era that I think it's better if this song just starts freefalling down the chart so they can get that much-needed wake up call to actually DO SOMETHING.

Has the overly sexy image ever really worked for her? Dirrrty didn't perform well, Not Myself Tonight was a bomb. Why does she keep trying it? My thoughts exactly. She is a nearly 32 year old single mother of a young child who, IMO, is still trying to sell sex and a sexually aggressive image amidst a significant weight gain in past several years. Not only this is cringeworthy and embarrassing for any artistic growth at this stage in her career, her (perceived) self-image and perception to others are wholly incongruent. Add to that an arrogant, over-confident reputation to her peers and radio personalities from within the industry, it should come as no surprise that this song is doing poorly. I confidently believe that if Katy Perry, Kesha, etc. released this song, it would be much more commercially successful. Her biggest problem is with her personality. There's nothing wrong with her selling sex at her age, with a child, and with some weight gain. Britney did EXACTLY that. She was just much more successful at it. But no one is jumping on Britney's back. (Granted Britney didn't get AS big as Christina) I can accept that her personality sucks, and much more popular artists could have worked that song better - But there is nothing WRONG about feeling sexy in your thirties, feeling sexy as a mother, and feeling sexy despite not being stick thin. |

again..has very little, if ANYthing to do w/ the song, her 'sexy/trashy etc...or whatever image lol', weight, its simply HER. She is just not like likable. Lots of people feel similiar towards Jlo, Mimi and Madonna. But they at least have a certain charisma and 'connection' w/ their fans who *get them* are either hardcore loons or haters. Jlo is one of the best/ the master at putting on a totally fake persona and convincing enough people that's who she is, when behind the scenes, in the real world its well known she is in siuper b*tch from hell mode 24/7. Little gray area for Christina for some reason. There's little to like in any way regading her personality and persona. NOT talking abt. her voice and music...but as we all know that many many x times isnt enough.

Are y'all listening to yourselves? I mean you are overreacting SO much and assuming everybody hates her because she's flopping at the moment. She can still turn this around, her team needs to act before it's too late. She needs to lose some weight ASAP

Its none of that for me. I just think the song sucks, from day one. Don't get Pulse's love for it.
The song never goes anywhere, its flatline. The chorus gets irritating very quickly.

I really think people just fucking hate Christina. This song is great but she is (one of?) the least likable female singers out there right now and she doesn't really have any redeeming qualities. Her voice to me has always been overrated (if she's not wailing "OOOOOOHHHHHHHHH" she sounds average to me). She's gained weight and isn't really able to convincingly sell the "sexy" persona she so desperately wants us to believe. She's a bitch all over the place (on The Voice she's always prissy and rude, making comments in interviews that come off cocky and rude, e.g. "I'm not quite sure who this person is"). Her music, up until this song, has been derivative and stale, and about 3 minutes (or 80 years in the case of B2B) too late.
She's o-ver.

! actually think this would be in the top 10 by now if it was Adele! We can't really point out at a single factor. I think Christina's image AND the fact that the song is not that strong are equaly contributing factors... but I think we all agree that on the hands of a more likable singer this would be doing much better.

I agree with what alot of Pulse members are saying. It's mainly HER first that's the issue. The song is strong, but really could have been stronger. This song really has a "flatline" effect like someone posted above. It needed a bigger and better breakdown and chorus, or her and her team should have chosen another more FUN and not sexual style type dance/pop track. I really loved this song at first, but don't really yearn to play it often, so I can understand why it's not connecting with radio and iTunes. Move on to single #2, a better uptempo and perform it on The Voice ASAP....either that or release a DANCE remix with Pitbull or Lil' Wayne to draw in the sales. |

Just to make sure: so far, there's been ZERO live performances of this, right? I mean, talkshows, major events, etc.
I mean, it would sure help to do a couple of those ASAP, and hear radio announcers go "Christina Aguilera was on [...] last night, where she performed her latest single, which is coming up next!" or something like that. It feels like the general public isn't even aware that she has a new single out.
