This is her best song in years. It really should have made the top 10. What a shame.

Why did she leave The Voice if she's not promoting her music? She's said she wants to tour which if the Voice starts again in February, live shows would be on April and that would probably be when she would be touring (assuming the tour actually happens).

i think being a presence on The Voice every week would've benefited the song more than just being absent all together until what....the tour? lol

Heffa can't even get off her ass and take a break from the boozing to promote her single on a few talk shows, and she's planning on doing a full tour? Please. Based on the performance of this song thus far, it doesn't look as though a tour is actually going to be happening anyway. She was all "tour this, tour that" at the beginning of the Bionic era, too, and we all know how that turned out.

Did this song peak at #19 to date then ? When was the last time Christina had a #1, top 5, and top 10 hit on CHR/Pop ?

Last solo hit to hit top 10 on these charts was Hurt (I believe KGB hit top 10 on the billboard charts, but not here?). It has been awhile which is why I believe that this needed a bit of promo or a push. It absolutely baffles me that her entire comeback has been basically showing 10 seconds of the video on The Voice-no performances yet and not even a steady presence elsewhere (no Itunes ad, some Voice shows go by with no mentions). Like, I just don't understand it at all. The entire run has been baffling to me. Let me stage a huge comeback and then never even perform my huge comeback single live lol!!!!! Or even act like I have a single out lol!!!!! When I look back at other artists who have struggled with a cd or two when they made their comeback it was literally a non-stop blitz of promo, performances, appearances, ads, commercials, mentions-everything. I cannot think of a comeback right now where the artist basically heaved out a song and then watched what happened instead of actively pushing it. I can't tell if it was extreme arrogance (IT WILL DO WELL NO MATTER WHAT) or if the label just plain knows the cd won't sell well so they are investing very little money or effort outside of Max Martin.
I can't see a tour happening at all especially since she seems to have given up live performing at the moment?

"Keeps Gettin' Better" topped out at No. 11 on Billboard's Mainstream Top 40, but, of course, did peak in the top 10 on the Hot 100.
Would the sight of Aguilera performing this particular track on a couple of TV outlets really inspire a big rush of digital sales? I dunno. Plus, it's fans more than anyone who tout this as some big "comeback." I don't think she looks at it that way, as she hasn't gone anywhere.

Oh wait sorry I must have been thinking of it going top 10 on the hot 100, but not radio. And yes, I think a promotional push would help this song. Again, I am trying to think of a single comeback that had pretty much no promo. When I think of major comebacks or at least songs that needed to be developed into hits I think of basically non-stop promo. You could not ESCAPE Kelly for MKIA Mariah was everywhere for TEOM Pink basically hustled herself to death performing and pushing through 2-3 straight cd eras most of which were NOT instant hits. I don't think of someone putting out a cd and then putting absolutely zero effort into making it a hit. I guess people will say that Pink, Kelly, Mariah, and others would have smashed even if they did sit at home and chill and just heave songs out, but I disagree. I think them performing and overall having an intense promotional push ultimately helped them be bigger than they would have been otherwise. I mean, s**t even Britney performed more with her last cd than Christina seems like she will I feel like this board downplays promo so much and that confuses me. I agree that certain songs will be hits promo or not and promo guarantees nothing, but I think if, let's say, Rihanna did no performances, no interviews, no price cuts, no ads, no commercials, no promo AT ALL for any of her albums then I doubt they would sell as well as they do. Part of why pop stars specifically are popular is because of intense promotional pushes that push their music and connect an audience to them and their music. Labels don't pour 10s of millions of dollars into artists (and yes, a standard promotional push for artists can be that high) like this for kicks and giggles. To me, also, recording with Max Martin and talking about taking time off from Voice to focus on the cd and talking about a huge tour indicates that she does see it as a comeback too. Otherwise, not sure why she wouldn't just plop down on the Voice indefinitely, collect her 10s of millions, and record with little indie producers like she seems to love doing. In fact, I am confused why she isn't doing that to be honest.

When this flops, I want to hear Christina's reaction. Was it ahead of its time? Did listeners not get it? Did the message go over peoples heads? Did they not appreciate the Etta James influence? Pffttt .... But seriously, why hasn't her label thought logically and looked at the wonders The Voice did for MLJ, and not follow suit?

At what point in the season was MLJ performed? I've never watched The Voice so I don't know how the show is organized or laid out. Do the hosts usually perform new songs at all? Did Maroon 5 perform any of their singles when the time was right during the album release? I'm just wondering because it's possible that for the purposes of the show, they don't want the hosts to take away from the contestants until a certain point in the season or something.

I don't think MLJ was performed until near the end of the show, but I don't really remember.

Well Maroon 5 didn't perform anything until the live shows and the live shows this season won't be starting till November. I'm hoping she performs the week before the album comes out but I'm not gonna hold my breath. M5 performed MLJ the first season and Payphone on the second. I also remember both Cee Lo and Blake performed songs of their own too. Christina is the only one who hasn't, lol.

Moves up 2 spots (28-26) on the American Top 40 this week.
Also reaches over 200,000 digital copies sold on iTunes. Currently at 218k (I believe?) and relatively stable at #37 on iTunes USA.

Many songs lately have seemed to plateau around #20 and then recover. I hope this is one of them. Doesn't deserve to peak lower than NMT!!! I'm also wondering about promo. Come on, even JLo tried to convince us that her butt could fit in that tiny toy car. Hey, even Xtina recorded a Target commercial for KGB that helped the song. Let alone a performance or a mention of the song somewhere!! Argh! This is a song that could reach top 10. It's even remained steady on iTunes despite the surge of new songs. New remix, discount, banner, commercial, SOMETHING!

"Finally Found You" seemed to peak at #15 last week, almost dropping to a two-digit bullet with a few negative updates, and it has rebounded pretty well now with almost a +500 bullet. It's a little higher than Christina (#19) but I think it's fair to use the comparison.

It does seem like songs a little lower were being affected, but I can't think of any quite this low.

An interview won't impact anything on radio, especially not a Chelsea Handler interview.
