Up another 600k yesterday, and she shows up at #48 on Mediabase this morning. Total audience is now up to 2.663 million. I bet she can add another million over the next 2 days, and that would probably put her just over 3 million on Billboard. Gary Allan is gonna stay ahead of her, but it's looking more and more likely that she'll have a Billboard debut of #37. Yet another example of your quiet effectiveness as a chart analyst. You don't brag about it, but consistently you place songs correctly on upcoming charts. JHomes for President!

I can't believe how strong this is still on iTunes. Still top 5. Rihanna's new song didn't peak as high and already dropped below it. Glad to see her more well-written songs getting some exposure finally.

Music video is being shot in Paris today.
This feels like such a winter song to me, if that makes sense. I don't know if it's just because of the Christmas lyric but I feel like I can't properly listen to this song until there's snow outside.

I wasn't crazy about this song when I first heard it - probably because there's no big stadium-ready chorus - but it has really grown on me over the past few days. I'm always amazed at how Taylor can so perfectly capture a feeling and a moment, making it extremely specific to her own life whilst still being very relatable.

I agree – fortunately snow isn't far away (in some places) and this should peak over the winter months.

Music video is being shot in Paris today. I like the sound of this. I can't wait to see what they come up with for the music video, since her videos tend to be some of the best in the country music realm.

I posted some pictures from the set in her album thread here if you want to take a sneak peek. ;)

Most added today with 66 adds, including plenty of big markets like LA, Chicago, Houston, DC, etc. Should know within a few hours where she debuted at on Billboard.

Where do you think will this debut at next week? For Billboard, I'm gonna go with a #37 debut. Anyone wanna take me on? ;) Once again, you're the best... :)

I made that prediction on Wednesday, after only 1 day at radio. Lucky guess?

So, should we expect this to jump to the low-teens/high-twentys on next week's chart?

So, should we expect this to jump to the low-teens/high-twentys on next week's chart? Eh, I can't see it making it all the way to the top 20. Chesney got off to a better start than this one, debuting at #32 and jumping to #24 last week with a 4.6 million gain, before cracking the top 20 tonight. Maybe Taylor can get to the top 25 but even that will be tough. She'll pass herself next week (meaning, BA will pass WANEGBT), but I don't really see any recurrent candidates, unless someone like Easton Corbin, Jerrod Niemann, or Edens Edge decides to pack their bags. And Taylor would likely need about a 4.5 million gain just to land around #25 or so. She's off to a good start, that's for sure, but I don't see top 20 until week 3 or possibly even week 4.

Love this. One of her best singles, easily, and I'm thrilled with the unmistakably country sound this has to it. Definitely a 180 from her last single, yet I enjoy both and am still very excited for the release of Red.

^I don't know where she'll debut, but it won't be #1. She wasn't even the #1 digital song for the week, and "Begin Again" still has minimal airplay compared to a lot of the other big songs out there.

Apparently the 329,000 figure was worldwide. It sold a still impressive 299,000 last week per Billboard, debuting at #1 on Hot Digital Songs.
Debuted at #7 on the Hot 100.

I finally heard this yesterday on KFRG, and it undoubtedly would have been a perfect fit on her debut CD, and it gets my vote as her best single since 'White Horse', at least from a moderate melody standpoint, as opposed to the four-minute scream-a-thon of its predecessor.
Shouldn't have any trouble reaching the top ten; how far it goes is another matter.

Yeah I'm going to agree with the consensus here. This song is really well-written and well sung, and a terrific turn from the lead single. The constant percussion in the song is something I personally really get into. The line about "throwing your head back and laughing like a kid" seems kind of out of place in the song and I wish that one particular line was different, but the closing line of the chorus could be the best line she's ever written.

I'm gonna go with a 10 spot jump up to #27 for this one on the 10/20 Billboard chart. Gary Allan's doing well, but she's gonna pass him. She'll breeze past Brantley Gilbert, the Eli Young Band, Chris Cagle, Kacey Musgraves, and Kristen Kelly. Hunter Hayes and Edens Edge seem likely to go recurrent, and Taylor will also pass herself (WANEGBT), so that's a +9 right there. It might be a little closer with Jon Pardi, but I think she'll pass him too, for the +10. Thomas Rhett, Dierks Bentley, and the Zac Brown Band should all stay ahead.

Very glad this won't have some random explosion into the top 15 this soon. Anyways, I think this song is starting to grow on me some; I still find it underwhelming and the release of it pretty rushed and forced. Surely there'll be even better songs on the album, but this is a well-marked step in the right direction in my book. :) Somehow, I still see this era having a turnout similar to Kenny's recent era Welcome to the Fishbowl. I'm sure it doesn't make sense given the star statuses of both of these artists, but this reasoning is not just based on the release schedule, but also the quality of both single choices so far.

Debuts at #47 on the Canadian country chart. Red debuts at #6 on the Hot 100.

» Begin Again: Clear Channel will spotlight Taylor Swift's Red across multiple platforms and formats beginning Monday (10/22), the day of release. The promotion's centerpiece is the Ryan Seacrest-hosted iHeartRadio Album Release Party, a 25-minute special airing on CC stations Monday and available on-demand at iHeartRadio.com. Two weeks of exclusive content will be featured on Country, Top 40, AC and Hot AC stations. Additionally, an Artist Integration Program focusing on eight of the album's tracks will be activated on all four formats Monday. On-air spots will direct listeners to online interviews and video content. A "24 Hour Dream Life" contest giving a winner a private jet flyaway and backstage access to her new tour will be offered beginning Nov. 9 at Top 40. A similar Country version will be offered in Q1. In other news, Swift will perform "Begin Again" on the 46th Annual CMA Awards Nov. 1. Uh...I really don't like the sound of that bolded part... Artist Integration Program for 8 tracks on 4 formats, all at once???!! >:(

Oh no. Not Clear Channel again... I'm already on the fence about getting this album, I don't need half of it crammed in my radio, tyvm, especially if it's as bad as WANEGBT. That one really made me lose a bunch of respect for her.

I've heard the album and its really good. I think I like "Speak Now" as a whole better tho.
She should have no problem having alot of hits. This clear channel deal tho, wow! Talk about overkill!

2 singles + 8 additional album tracks = Taylor occupying the entire top 10.
