This week, Idina Menzel's "Let It Go" returns back to the number one position, dethroning Katy Perry and Juicy J's "Dark Horse," which falls to number two. However, the two songs are tied in points, but because of "Let It Go" increasing and "Dark Horse" decreasing, "Let It Go" takes the top spot. "Let It Go"'s increase is definitely due to both the Oscar hype and the hype from Frozen's digital release. (My dorm wing hosted a viewing party of Frozen last Friday night!) This is the first time a song has returned to the number one position since Ke$ha's "C'mon," oddly enough, one year ago. Only five songs have fallen from the top spot and returned. Bastille's "Pompeii" remains at number three for the week as Lorde's "Team" falls two spots to number four. HAIM's "The Wire" rounds out the top five for a second week. Below the top five, Disclosure and Sam Smith climb to a new peak of number six with "Latch." Ellesello's "Play the Game" slips a position to number seven. Karmin climb a position to a new peak of number eight with "I Want It All." Pitbull and Ke$ha continue their odd-numbered run down the top ten to number nine with "Timber" (the song has fallen 1-3-5-7-9 the past few weeks). Demi Lovato rounds out the top ten for another week with "Neon Lights." Below the top ten, Colbie Caillat makes a jump to a new peak of number 11 with "Hold On." "Hold On" officially outpeaks "Favorite Song," Colbie's only other chart appearance. It peaked at number 13 over the summer of 2012. Cassadee Pope rebounds a position to number 12 with "Wasting All These Tears," though it loses points. SoMo rebounded last week with "Ride," but it slips two positions to 13 this week. Both songs were former top five hits. Britney Spears and T.I. continue to climb with "Tik Tik Boom," up to a new peak of 14 this week. Below them, B.o.B and Priscilla climb six spots to a new peak of 15 with "John Doe." Lily Allen remains at 16 for a second week with "Hard Out Here." Kacey Musgraves takes a hit this week, slipping five spots to 17, though "Follow Your Arrow" reaches the 20 week milestone this week, and is likely to become Kacey's longest charting hit, beating "Blowin' Smoke"'s 25 week run. Ellie Goulding also falls this week, with "Burn" slipping to 18. P!nk also falls with "Are We All We Are," down to 19. Ke$ha and Iggy Pop also enter the top 20 this week with "Dirty Love." Ke$ha and B.o.B kick out Passenger's "Let Her Go" and The Fray's "Love Don't Die," which fall to 26 and 21 respectively. Below the top 20, Miley Cyrus climbs to a new peak of 22 with "Adore You." Not many other songs reach new peaks this week. Christina Grimmie's "I Bet You Don't Curse God" climbs to 25, MKTO's "Classic" jumps to 30, and Zendaya's "My Baby" reaches to number 38. Most songs stay stationary at their peaks this week, including "Rewind" at 23, "Says She Loves Me" at 24, and "Can't Remember to Forget You" at 27, with "Lucky Strike" and "Unconditionally" also staying stationary, though not at their peaks. The chart sees one debut this week at number 33. Lily Allen claims another spot in the chart with "Air Balloon," the second single from her upcoming third album, Sheezus, due out in May. This is Lily's third chart entry, following "True Love" with P!nk, credited at Lily Rose Cooper, which peaked at 17, and "Hard Out Here," which is currently charting at 16 this week. Lily would've had many other charting hits in the forms of "Alfie," "The Fear," "Not Fair," "Fuck You," and "22" had the chart existed back then. "Air Balloon" knocks out One Direction's "Story of My Life." This week, Katy Perry and Juicy J reclaim the top spot with "Dark Horse," knocking Idina Menzel's "Let It Go" back down to number three after it reclaimed the top spot last week. "Dark Horse" lands its third week on top, making it the longest running number one hit of 2014 so far (both in chart year and in calendar year). Below "Dark Horse," Bastille's "Pompeii" closes in as it moves up to a new peak of number two. HAIM's "The Wire" also slides up to a new peak this week at number four. Disclosure and Sam Smith enter the top five this week with "Latch," marking both of their frist top five hits. The duo kicks out Lorde's "Team" from the top five. It slips to number seven. Below the top five, Karmin continue their ascent with "I Want It All" as it snags a new peak of six. Demi Lovato climbs back up to her original peak of eight with "Neon Lights." Ellesello take a slight tumble to number nine with "Play the Game." Colbie Caillat grabs her first top ten hit with "Hold On" as it slides up a spot to number ten this week. "Hold On" knocks out Pitbull and Ke$ha's former number one smash, "Timber." "Timber" falls to number 16 this week. Below the top ten, Britney Spears and T.I. race up to number 11 with "Tik Tik Boom." This is the highest any album track has been on the chart since Ke$ha made the top ten with "Crazy Kids" and "Gold Trans Am" after the release of Warrior. Below that, Lily Allen climbs to 12 with "Hard Out Here" and Ke$ha zooms up seven spots to number 13 with "Dirty Love," which also featured Iggy Pop. P!nk also claims a new peak with "Are We All We Are" at 14 as B.o.B and Priscilla remain at number 15 with "John Doe." Cassadee Pope slips to 17 with "Wasting All These Tears" as the rest of the top 20 is brand new. At 18 is Rascal Flatts with "Rewind," 19 is Miley Cyrus with "Adore You," and 20 is Christina Grimmie with "I Bet You Don't Curse God." This is their first, third, and second top 20 hits respectively. They knock out "Burn," "Follow Your Arrow," and "Ride," which fall to 22, 23, and 27 respectively. Below the top 20, Maroon 5 climb to a new peak of 24 with "Lucky Strike." Other songs earning new peak below the top 20 are Shakira and Rihanna's "Can't Remember to Forget You" at 26, MKTO's "Classic" at 28, Zendaya's "My Baby" at 29, and Lily Allen's "Air Balloon" at 32. Zendaya's "My Baby" takes the token of Biggest Increase of the Week by gaining 2.95 points this week. Alternatively, SoMo's "Ride" is this week's Biggest Decrease of the Week, losing 1.65 points and tumbling down from 13 to 27. News isn't all bad for SoMo this week. SoMo is the last of many debuts this week. He debuts at number 40 with "Oh, Hell," an album track from his debut EP, My Life, which I recently purchased. His debut album is only weeks away from release. The chart sees three other debuts this week. Entering at 31 is Taylor Swift with "All Too Well," a promo single that she performed at the Grammy Awards this year. This is Taylor's tenth chart entry, giving her more chart entries than any other artist! Taylor has previously charted with "Ours" at 22, "Eyes Open" at 7, "Safe & Sound" at 27, "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" and "I Knew You Were Trouble." are both long lasting number one smashes (with "I Knew You Were Trouble." being the chart's most successful song ever), "Holy Ground" at 27, and the trifecta of number seven peakers, "22," "Red," and "Everything Has Changed." Debuting at 35 is Rihanna's "Jump," a promo single from the Unapologetic era. This brings Rihanna's total to nine charters, one less than Taylor. Rihanna has yet to have a number one hit, but hit the top five with "Where Have You Been," "Diamonds," and "What Now" as well as other top ten hits from "You Da One," "Talk That Talk," and "Stay." She also peaked at 17 with the album track "Love Without Tragedy / Mother Mary" and is currently charting at 26 with Shakira on "Can't Remember to Forget You." The final debut is big news at 38. Clean Bandit and Jess Glynne both snatch their first charting hits with "Rather Be," a really good track that blends 90s dance, modern pop, and classical music together. The big news is that this song is also an add this week, which is a big deal. It's rare for songs to debut the same week they are added. Off the top of my head, the few that have include "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together," "Lolita," "Here's to Never Growing Up," "Die Young," "We Can't Stop," "Wrecking Ball," "Hothouse," and about a handful or less that I'm not immediately remembering. All of those have something in common, though: they are all from artists that I stan for. That's not the case this time. The four debuts kick out four top ten smashes: Avril Lavigne's "Let Me Go," which falls just short of 20 weeks, Ciara's "Overdose," and two former number one hits: Echosmith's "Cool Kids," which reached 20 weeks, and we must say goodbye to Miley Cyrus' "Wrecking Ball," which holds the record for most weeks at number one: ten! The song came really close to joining the 30+ week club with "Royals" and "Replay," the two that are still charting, but no cigar. Drop Out Runs: Avril Lavigne - Let Me Go (feat. Hippie Sabotage) (Habits Remix) *Songs that I've added to my iPod. This week, HAIM takes a leap into the pole position with "The Wire," earning HAIM their first number one hit and becoming the chart's 36th number one hit. "The Wire" knocks former number one, "Dark Horse," down to number two. However, HAIM's reign at number one might be short lived. Karmin leap three spots into the top five at nubmer three this week with "I Want It All," threatening to take the top spot as early as next week. With their debut album, Pulses, getting released next week, that's sure to help boost it if I like it enough to purchase it. Bastille's "Pompeii" slips to number four after climbing to number two last week. Idina Menzel closes out the top five with her former number one smash, "Let It Go." More on "Let It Go" later... Karmin kicks out Disclosure's "Latch" from the top five. It falls to six. Below the top five, not a whole lot has changed this week. As stated above, "Latch" falls to number six. Seven and eight remain the same with Lorde's "Team" and Demi Lovato's "Neon Lights." It's worth noting that this week, "Team" ties with "Royals" in number of weeks inside the top ten! Nine and ten, however, are new entries to the top ten! Britney Spears and T.I. climb to number nine this week with "Tik Tik Boom." Oddly enough, even though I'm not a T.I. fan, this marks his third top ten hit out of three charters following featured credits on "Blurred Lines" and "I Wish." This is Britney's first top ten. It is only the third album track to make the top ten, followig Ke$ha's "Crazy Kids" and "Gold Trans Am," though what's interesting it that "Tik Tik Boom"'s run is mimicking an actual single's run right now. Speaking of Ke$ha, she enters the top ten at number ten this week with the promo single, "Dirty Love," which featured rock superstar Iggy Pop. This is Ke$ha's sixth top ten hit and Iggy Pop's first. They kick out Colbie Caillat's "Hold On" and Ellesello's "Play the Game" from the top ten. They fall to 11 and 13 respectively. Below the top ten, B.o.B and Priscilla climb to a new peak of 12 with "John Doe." Christina Grimmie also takes a nice leap up five spots again this week, jumping to a new peak of 15 with "I Bet You Don't Curse God." "God" outpeaked Grimmie's last charter, "Tell My Mama," which peaked at 16. Aer also enter the top 20 for the first time with "Says She Loves Me," coming in at number 18. Aer knocks out Rascal Flatts' "Rewind," which slips to 24, most likely getting hit hard by the monthly rolling effect. Everything else in the top 20 is falling in position. Below the top 20, Maroon 5's "Lucky Strike" climbs to a new peak of 21. Others reaching new peaks include Clean Bandit's "Rather Be" at 23, MKTO's "Classic" at 27, Lily Allen's "Air Balloon" at 29, and SoMo's "Oh, Hell" at 30. "Rather Be" makes a HUGE leap, jumping up from 38 to 23 this week, also increasing by 3.7 points, easily earning Biggest Decrease of the Week. Biggest Increase of the Week goes to Ellesello's "Play the Game," which lost 2.2 points this week. It's also worth noting that SoMo's "Ride" increased two spots to 25 this week. The chart sees three debuts this week. Debuting at 34 is Lorde with "Glory and Gore," the third official US single from Pure Heroine, and fourth single overall ("Tennis Court" was a single overseas). "Glory and Gore" becomes Lorde's seventh chart entry! It follows the two SMASHES "Royals," at five week number one, and "Team," which continues to kill it in its 18th week inside the top ten with a peak of number two. Lorde now also ties Demi Lovato for most tracks to chart from a single album with six entries. ("The Love Club" is Lorde's other charter, though asterisks are involved here. The extended version of Pure Heroine includes "The Love Club," and "Royals" is included on both the Pure Heroine album and The Love Club EP.) Speaking of Demi Lovato, she debuts at 37 with "Let It Go," yes, the same "Let It Go" that sits at number five this week that spent two weeks at number one. As many of you probably already know, Demi Lovato was asked to record the official pop version of Frozen's "Let It Go," originally sang by Idina Menzel in the film. This is the first time in chart history that a cover and the original have both charted. It also marks the first time the original and cover have charted at the same time. It also coincidentally marks the first time two songs with the same title have charted both at all and at the same time! Cool! The final debut at 39 is Mike Will Made-It's "23," which features Miley Cyrus, Wiz Khalifa, and Juicy J. I know, I know, I'm last as fuck on this one, but I don't care. The song originally premiered around the same time as "Wrecking Ball," which has since spent ten glorious weeks at number one and has fallen off the chart. This is Mike Will Made-It's first chart appearance as an artist credit (he's had several producer credits chart already). This is Wiz Khalifa's and Juicy J's second chart entry (Wiz charted with Maroon 5 on "Payphone" and Juicy J currently charts with Katy Perry on "Dark Horse"). It is Miley Cyrus' sixth chart entry following the two number one smashes "We Can't Stop" and "Wrecking Ball" as well as two album tracks, "4x4" and "Do My Thang," and the currently charting single "Adore You." The three debuts kick out three former number one hits. They kick out, first off, Katy Perry's "Unconditionally" and Lady Gaga and R. Kelly's "Do What U Want." Both spent 20 weeks on the chart and one week at number one. Their fellow kick out companion is no other than Zendaya's "Replay," which finally bows out after 32 glorious weeks on the chart. It spent one of those weeks at number one. RIP, "Replay." With "Wrecking Ball" leaving last week and "Replay" leaving this week, only one member of the longevity number one hit smash trifecta is left: "Royals," which sits at 36 for a second week on its 36th week on the chart. Will "Royals" follow suit and fall off next week, or will it continue to fight for the longevity record of 43 weeks, held by Demi Lovato's "Give Your Heart a Break"? Drop Out Runs: Katy Perry - Unconditionally 01 20 32-25-20-17-12-20-14-4-2-1-3-2-10-15-15-16-21-29-29-33Lady Gaga - Do What U Want (feat. R. I like all of the songs here except "I Bet You Don't Curse God" and "Oh, Hell" but that's only because I haven't heard them. Needless to say, fantastic chart! :)

"Let It Go" slaying. . "The Wire" slaying posthumously. "The Wire" is good though.

As was expected last week, Karmin take over the number one spot from HAIM's "The Wire" with "I Want It All." No shocker there as Karmin's debut album, Pulses, was released this week, definitely aiding it in its big point jump. This is Karmin's second number one hit following the four week number one, "Brokenhearted," which ran the chart starting two years ago today! "The Wire" slips to number two as Karmin jumps it. "Dark Horse" by Katy Perry and Juicy J also slips a position, falling to number three. Idina Menzel and Bastille switch places this week with "Let It Go" and "Pompeii," coming in at four and five respectively. "Pompeii" earns the title of Biggest Decrease of the Week this week by losing 2.45 points. Odd that it only fell one position. Below the top five, Britney Spears and T.I. quietly move up with "Tik Tik Boom," coming in at a massive six! This is officially the highest ANY album track has ever gotten! Below them, "Latch" slips a spot to number seven while Ke$ha and Iggy Pop climb two spots to a new peak of eight with "Dirty Love." Demi Lovato falls a spot to number nine with "Neon Lights." The top ten sees one new entry from B.o.B and Priscilla in the form of "John Doe." This is both artists' first top ten apperance since the chart started in January 2012, though both artists probably would be no strangers to the top ten had the chart existed back when "Airplanes," "Magic," and "Dollhouse" were current. "John Doe" kicks Lorde's "Team" out of the top ten, down to number 13. This is the first Lorde-less top ten since August 4, 2013! :o Below the top ten, Clean Bandit and Jess Glynne continue their SMASH run, skyrocketing to number 11 in their third week on the chart with "Rather Be"! No surprise that the song earns the title of Biggest Increase of the Week yet again, gaining by 2.9 points. Colbie Caillat slips a spot to 12 with "Hold On." Ellesello also slip only a spot to 14 with "Play the Game." Lily Allen and PItbull/Ke$ha also slip up in the top 20, falling to 16 and 20 respectively with "Hard Out Here" and "Timber." Christina Grimmie remains stationary at her peak of 15 with "I Bet You Don't Curse God." As does Aer at 18 with "Says She Loves Me." Ellie Goulding makes a surprise re-entry into the top 20 with "Burn," climbing back up from 22 last week to 17 this week! Good on Ellie for having such strong longevity. For reference, it debuted the same week as "Do What U Want" and "Unconditionally," both went to number one, and both are off the chart now. Zendaya smashes her way up the chart to enter the top 20 this week with "My Baby," coming in at 19. Ellie and Zendaya kick out Miley's "Adore You" and P!nk's "Are We All We Are" out of the top 20. "Adore You" falls to 24 and "Are We All We Are" to 30. Below the top 20, several songs earn new peaks, including Lily Allen's "Air Ballon" at 21, Shakira and Rihanna's "Can't Remember to Forget You" at 22, Taylor Swift's "All Too Well" at 23, Demi Lovato's "Let It Go" at 32, and Mike Will Made-It and Gang's "23" at 36. It's also definitely worth noting that Lorde's "Royals" gained points again this week and increased five spots back up to 31! The song that refuses to die also earns a new certification this week, becoming the first song to ever be on the chart and receive the 14x platinum certification! However, as you all know, songs can continue to gain points after their runs, but "Royals" moves up to the second most successful charting song of all time, just one spot behind the massive "I Knew You Were Trouble." by Taylor Swift. It's almost inevitable that "Royals" will take the crown (pun intended) next week. After that, "Royals" is likely to start battling it out for Demi Lovato's record of longest charting hit of 43 weeks for "Give Your Heart a Break." "Royals" is currently at its 37th week on the chart! The chart also sees two debuts this week. Debuting at a high 29 is Shakira with "Empire," the second single from her new album, Shakira., which was also just released this week. This is Shakira's second appearance on the chart, following "Can't Remember to Forget You," which sits at 22 this week. The other debut is Beyoncé and JAY Z's "Drunk in Love" at 40. Just like "23" last week, this adds to the repertoire of hits that charted late in their runs because I was either late to discovering them, or it took them forever to grow on me. Obviously, "Drunk in Love" falls into that second category with "23" and other songs such as "Thrift Shop." It's looking like Avicii's "Hey Brother" will be joining that group soon as well. This is Beyoncé's second charting hit following "Love on Top," which peaked at 15 back on the chart's inception date of January 29, 2012. This is JAY Z's second charting hit (and first credited as JAY Z and not Jay-Z) following a featured credit on Rihanna's "Talk That Talk," which peaked at number seven also back on the chart's beginnings, though in February 2012. The two debuts kick out Ellie Goulding's "Mirror" and Passenger's "Let Her Go." To my surprise, "The Wire" climbs back up to take the number one from Karmin's "I Want It All" (which falls to number two), marking another return to number one for the 2014 chart year. So far, there have been three songs to do this just this year: "The Wire," "Dark Horse," and "Let It Go." Speaking of "Let It Go," it climbs a position yet again this week, back up to number three. The song just refuses to die! Below it, though, is what's sure to be a monster number one hit for me: Clean Bandit and Jess Glynne's "Rather Be," which zooms up from 11 to four in only its fourth week. It also shares the title of Biggest Increase of the Week by gaining 2.5 points. Rounding out the top five is Katy Perry and Juicy J with "Dark Horse," which earns the title of Biggest Decrease of the Week by losing 2.95 points. (It's rare that the Decrease and Increase titles are right by each other.) "Rather Be" knocks out "Pompeii" from the top five. Below the top five, Disclosure and Sam Smith climb back up to six with "Latch," knocking down Britney Spears and T.I. to number seven with "Tik Tik Boom." B.o.B and Priscilla jump two spots to a new peak of number eight this week with "John Doe." Bastille's "Pompeii" falls to number nine after being shoved out of the top five. Rounding out the top ten is Ke$ha and Iggy Pop with "Dirty Love," slipping two spots. "Rather Be"'s entry into the top ten also knocks out Demi Lovato's "Neon Lights." Below the top ten, "Neon Lights" sits at number 11 while Colbie Caillat continues to amaze me with her longevity at number 12 with "Hold On." Below her, though, two songs jump an impressive amount of positions. Taylor Swift leaps ten spots to 13 with "All Too Well" while Lily Allen follows right behind her at 14 with "Air Balloon," which jumps seven spots this week. "Air Balloon" also sits one position above Lily Allen's "Hard Out Here," meaning the buck has finally been passed for Lily. "Hard Out Here" switches positions with Christina Grimmie's "I Bet You Don't Curse God," which sits at 16. Lorde takes a bit of a tumble slipping to number 17 with "Team," while Ellie Goulding, who randomly returned to the top 20 last week with "Burn" at 17, falls only one spot to 18. "Burn" is killing it in longevity. Ellesello slip to 19 with "Play the Game" and Aer also fall to 20 with "Says She Loves Me." Taylor and Lily kick out Pitbull and Ke$ha's "Timber" and Zendaya's "My Baby" from the top 20. They sit at 26 and 25 respectively. Below the top 20, Rascal Flatts look to be having a second wind, climbing back up to 21 with "Rewind." Their original peak is 18. Below that, Shakira jumps to 22 with "Empire," tieing the peak of "Can't Remember to Forget You" already in the song's second week on the chart. Beyoncé and JAY Z jump a massive 17 spots to 23 with "Drunk in Love." This is the title that tied with "Rather Be" for Biggest Increase of the Week by gaining 2.5 points. Lorde also shoots up a hefty amount of positions, 14, by jumping to 24 with "Glory and Gore." MKTO climb back to their original peak of 27 with "Classic" as Rihanna's "Jump" lives up to its name, jumping ten spots to a new peak of 29. The chart also sees three debuts this week. The highest comes in at 36 from KONGOS with "Come with Me Now," a jaunty rock tune that uses accordions of all instruments! This is the band's first entry on the chart. Debuting at 39 is Nico & Vinz with "Am I Wrong," a tribal sounding song that sounds like it's going to smash all of our summers. This is the duo's first entry. Finally, debuting at 40 is yet another Frozen track! "Do You Want to Build a Snowman?" makes the top 40! The track contains vocals from Kristen Bell, Agatha Lee Monn, and Katie Lopez. This is all artists' first entries on the chart. The other two Frozen entries, which are still charting, are the two versions of "Let It Go," the two-week number one smash film version which still sits at three, and Demi Lovato's pop version which sits at 37 this week, but has peaked at 32. "ROYALS" WATCH: Slips a position to 32, but it's up to 38 weeks on the chart now! It also only lost 0.3 points. It is now only 5 weeks away from tieing "Give Your Heart a Break" for most weeks on the chart. ALSO, with this week's points finally added in, "Royals" has become THE MOST SUCCESSFUL SONG TO CHART. This week, Karmin makes a surprise return to number one with "I Want It All," knocking down HAIM's "The Wire" to number two. Surprisingly, both held off Clean Bandit and Jess Glynne's "Rather Be" from the top spot this week, though it does gain a spot to a new peak of three. It is highly likely the song will reach the top and hold on for a while. "Rather Be" switches positions with Idina Menzel's "Let It Go," which racks up another week inside the top five. This is the song's 12th week inside the top five. The record holder is 17 weeks for Taylor Swift's "I Knew You Were Trouble.." Will "Let It Go" break that record? Rounding out the top five is Katy Perry and Juicy J with "Dark Horse" remaining stationary. Below the top five, Demi Lovato makes a big comeback! "Neon Lights" slipped out of the top ten last week only to come back with a vengeance... and a new peak of number six! What's even crazier is that this is the song's 23rd week on the chart. Not many songs reach new peaks this late in their run. The few that have made new peaks past 20 weeks on the chart include Ke$ha's "Crazy Kids" (24 weeks to #1), Demi Lovato's "Give Your Heart a Break" (32 weeks to #7), Katy Perry's "Dark Horse" (21 weeks to #1), and Lorde's "Team" (20 weeks to #2). Britney Spears and T.I. stay stationary with "Tik Tik Boom" at seven. Disclosure and Sam Smith slip two spots to eight with "Latch" while B.o.B and Priscilla slip a spot to nine with "John Doe." A new top ten entry rounds out the top ten. Lily Allen's "Air Balloon" jumps four spots to number ten, becoming Lily's first top ten hit since that chart's inception in January 2012. Demi and Lily kick out Ke$ha and Iggy Pop's "Dirty Love" and Bastille's "Pompeii" from the top ten. They sit at 12 and 18 respectively. There is LOADS of action below the top ten! (This week is actually really hectic for the chart in general.) Tons of old songs lose points while tons of new ones gain hefty amounts! A big clean house happened below the top ten. Christina Grimmie kicks it off at number 11 with "I Bet You Don't Curse God," earning a new peak after jumping five spots. Taylor Swift remains in place at 13 with "All Too Well." A trifecta leaps into the top 20 below that. Shakira comes in at 14 with "Empire," Beyoncé and JAY Z come in at 15 with "Drunk in Love," and Lorde comes in at 16 with "Glory and Gore." The three songs sat at 22, 23, and 24 last week, and all three gain not only the same amount of positions, but the same amount of points, 1.45! This is a very weird chart anamoly that probably won't ever happen again. Below them, Rascal Flatts jumps to a new peak of 17 with "Rewind" as they re-enter the top 20. SoMo and Rihanna also see new entries in the top 20! SoMo makes a huge leap from 31 to 19 with "Oh, Hell" and Rihanna's "Jump" does just that, shifting from 29 to 20! This is SoMo's second top 20 after "Ride" and Rihanna's eighth. The five new entries and one re-entry into the top 20 kick out the following: Colbie Caillat's "Hold On" (12-24), Lorde's "Team" (17-30), Lily Allen's "Hard Out Here" (15-32), Ellie Goulding's "Burn" (18-33), Ellesello's "Play the Game" (19-34), and Aer's "Says She Loves Me," which TUMBLES 20 to 37! All five took huge losses, but only in position, not really in points. In fact, the Biggest Decrease of the Week goes to HAIM's "The Wire," which lost 3 points, but only fell from one to two. It's just that so many songs are decreasing against so many increasing, and the increasers are gaining by a lot. SoMo's "Oh, Hell" takes the Biggest Increase of the Week, gaining by 2.6 points. Below the top 20, even more action is taking place. Zendaya's "My Baby" climbs back up to 21, close to outpeaking itself. Shakira and Rihanna return to their original peak of 22 with "Can't Remember to Forget You." KONGOS and Nico & Vinz both see big leaps, climbing to 23 and 25 respectively with "Come with Me Now" and "Am I Wrong." MKTO earn a new peak of 26 with "Classic." As does Demi Lovato at 27 with her version of "Let It Go." Speaking of Frozen, "Do You Want to Build a Snowman?" remains at number 40 this week. The rest of the story belongs to the debuts. There's four of them this week. Coming in at 28 is another SoMo track. This one is "Kings & Queens (Throw It Up)," an early single from his deut My Life EP. His album was released this week, though I did not purchase it. It may be one to buy soon, though. This is SoMo's third chart entry following the number one smash, "Ride," and the currently charting "Oh, Hell." Debuting below that at 29 is Avicii with "Hey Brother." I know, I know, another song I'm late to getting into (see: "Drunk in Love" and "23"), but I'm into it now and it's finally making its debut. This is Avicii's second chart entry after the number four hit, "Wake Me Up!." Debuting at 35 is The Band Perry with "Chainsaw," adding another country charter for the year! Country is doing very well this year with hits from Kacey Musgraves, Cassadee Pope, and Rascal Flatts. This is The Band Perry's second charting hit after "Done." peaked at 12 last year. Finally, debuting at 39 is yet another Frozen track. This time, it's "For the First Time in Forever," the first ever Disney Princess duet sang by Anna and Elsa (played by Kristen Bell and Idina Menzel). This is the fourth Frozen charting hit after Idina's number one smash "Let It Go" as well as Demi Lovato's currently charting pop version. As previously noted, "Do You Want to Build a Snowman?" also sits at number 40. The four debuts kick out Cassadee Pope's "Wasting All These Tears," Maroon 5's "Lucky Strike," Miley Cyrus' "Adore You," and P!nk's "Are We All We Are." ROYALS WATCH: "Royals" increases a spot to 31 and gains 0.55 points! It reaches its 39th week on the chart. Only four more to go before it ties "Give Your Heart a Break." Five to break the record.
