These heauxs quick to forget Murda Mo is licensed to carry.  LMAOOO. Right. It's not at all shocking that he's cheating. It's common with NBA players. I'm sure this isn't the first time. But Monica seems like the type that would be accepting of that as long as it isn't made public knowledge and he embarrasses her. |

Just come back to say this album isn't that bad after 4 months. There are songs I can constantly come back to: Deep, Call My Name, Alone in Your Heart, Hustler's Ambition (forget about that stupid remix!), JRFM and the infectious upbeat jam Suga!

As a mother, wife, singer, songwriter, producer, and actress, Monica wears many hats. Have one conversation with her, however, and it’s crystal clear her world revolves around her family, especially her three children Rodney Ramone Hill III, Romelo Montez Hill, and Laiyah Shannon Brown. We caught up with the “Hustler’s Ambition” singer to discuss how she juggles motherhood while satisfying her hustler spirit, like participating in the White House Easter Egg Roll 2016 with her kids. The UPTOWN cover girl also gives us a rare glimpse into her life by revealing her most memorable mommy moments, how she is raising a family on the go, how she protects her children from “outside noise,” and more.  Romelo Montez Hill, Rodney Ramone Hill III, and Laiyah Shannon Brown UPTOWN: What is your most memorable parenting moment?Monica: I would have to say my most memorable moments as a mother were all three of my children’s births. There was no amount of pain — not even 21 hours of labor — that could take the immense amount of joy and love I felt away. It was confirmation, in every way, of just how much God loved me and trusted me to bless me with them. My quest to be better started the day I became their mother. UPTOWN: What is the best mothering advice you’ve received? And what is the best mothering advice you tend to give?Monica: I’m very fortunate to have a wonderful mother (Marilyn Best) and I’ve learned many things from her, but the two things that stand out most is her teaching me to pray with and for my children. She always told me I was capable and God chose me, but there’s no instruction manual to raising children. Forgive myself when I fall short and continue to learn and grow with and through them.  UPTOWN: What are your top family values?Monica: My top family values are valuing things of true value and those are the things that can’t be bought. I’m wrapped up in our quality time, love, and support for one another. Honesty among each other and trust. My children know that they can trust me to provide and guide them. UPTOWN: How do you keep “outside noise,” like gossip or rumors, from invading your private family life?Monica: Outside noise is simply that for myself, but I have had to explain to my children — now that they’re of age and have read things both true and false — about us as a family that we know who we are and whose we are. We don’t owe the outside world an explanation, but we as a family have to be honest and unashamed with each other. Other people’s ideas of who we are could never devalue who we know we are. I have also learned that I must share the truth and the whole truth with them no matter how hard it is. UPTOWN: How do you balance giving your children and career what they need, while also taking time for yourself?Monica: My children come first, so balancing has become very easy for me — maybe not as much for those that work with and for me — but I don’t mind sacrificing work because the moments missed in a child’s life you can never get back. I’ve also learned to take advantage of the me-time whenever it presents itself, not just try and plan it out. When kids are asleep, or during school, sometimes just a long walk while they entertain each other, can be calming.  UPTOWN: What tips would you offer moms raising children on the go?Monica: Moms on the go are stretched in lots of directions, but I’ve found so many peaceful moments in the time my children and I spend talking, discussing real feelings, what life is to them, and their view just as well as what it is to me. You would be surprised how much your children acknowledge and appreciate about what you contribute. That’s a huge motivation for me. Also, listen to your body. Sometimes it’s telling you things you shouldn’t ignore. UPTOWN: How are you spending Mother’s Day?Monica: This Mother’s Day, I will be returning from my show in New York in time to have dinner and enjoy a day at home with the most important people in my life — my babies! What a disappointment I thought cd would have lasted a little longer.
I loved "Alone In Your Heart" and "Hustler's Ambition".
I actually could have done without the first single but it was ok.
I saw her live years ago during the end of the "After The Storm" era.
It was a little weird because it was a free radio concert in Boston and the station was new and promoting itself as a dance station.
She was good though. Very casually dressed.
She had us putting our hands up for our brothers in jail and isn't with us. lol.

Honestly, I can't believe this album went nowhere. She had freaking Timbaland tracks and the label did nothing. Hell Wayne on the first single, I just didn't understand how this could not be semi-successful for her. I still bump it though. "Call My Name" and "Deep" are still the jams.
