I believe it was a bonus track but I could be wrong. I’ll have to pull out my CD. Edit: just looked it up. It was on a limited addition CD. 01. Too Hood 02. Down 4 Whatever 03. What Part of the Game 04. Searchin 05. So Gone (video) That must have been the copy I owned. Down 4 Whatever used to be my JAM! Yes!! I had to rip the album and burn it with D4W and Searchin. I already had “Too Hood” from the shelved All Eyez On Me album. Lmao

Yes, there was genuine love between them behind the scenes but what irks me is Brandy and co. (ex. Ray J’s IG caption) having to be so extra and lay it on so thick. Brandy up there talking about Missy making them a song (which I would love) and a Verzuz 2 and then touring together, etc. and Mo’s response is plainly “...we just got HERE” (after 8 years of NO communication at all) meaning take it ONE step at a time which makes the most sense.
Then they have to reiterate it on social media and when Mo doesn’t echo the sentiments or engage in that dialogue publicly, and nothing comes to fruition, she’s painted as the stuck up bitch who hates Brandy. Hella annoying.
Was also annoying they didn’t sing together but now that I know why, I’m not even mad. I also felt this deeply. 😂

When Brandy went on and on and on about TBIM I said out loud “and you would be singing YOUR SINGLE by YOUR SELF”. Brandy was doing too much. Anyway, songs I felt Monica should’ve featured include: “Street Symphony” “Get It Off” - which I would’ve fainted for “Don’t Gotta Go Home” - like girl really? This is one of her most known album cuts “Misty Blue” - show off dem vocals chile!

Its like Kandi and Xscape 👀 Like girl we just talked last week lets just stew in the moment. Missy also told her to rest her vocal chords because they have a session this weekend and you know Missy be having her blowing. But I do sense a general feeling of admiration between them and now the door is back open for whatever opportunity may present itself between the two. Brandy just has to get with Mo’s team first instead of putting her on the spot constantly forcing an answer.

Look at the last page boo 😂 Monica is Top 10 on the main iTunes chart with her new single and it even debuted on Apple Music. It was a low placing but it still placed unlike her last singles. Brandy’s album jumped back into the Top 5 on iTunes and they absolutely swarmed the R&B charts. They held 30 out of the Top 40 spots.

I really wish Monica would have addressed last night that female r&b singers like her and brandy were intentionally edged out in the early 00s by Beyoncé and her relentless beehive & their hate campaigns. These two are talented and definitely had some hits left. Girl gone

I didn't pick up the stankness from Monica that people continue to claim.
She's always been more laid back and was bopping and engaging. I'm really tired of seeing the comments.
Even back in 1998 and 2012, she wasn't jumping all over Brandy, she was chill and respectful.
People can't seem to enjoy things for what they are...they always try to taint a good moment, but they couldn't.
Currently listening to her sophomore album!

https://www.instagram.com/p/CElEVU5jcCT Me being a Virgo this post would irk my soul. The sentiment is there but lets not make every moment a business moment without my consent first. This only feeds into the narrative especially if she says no at the moment. Sonja pulls the same tricks, too.

Yeah, especially because Monica initially said no to the Verzuz and then decided to be a good sport about it.. Give an inch..

To me both Brandy and Monica have great albums that will go down the R&B history. But I understand why Brandy is being taken more seriously as an artist.
My Top 3 Brandy: Full Moon Never Say Never Afrodisiac
Monica: Still Standing After the Storm The Makings of Me
Full Moon and Still Standing DID THAT. Not one single skip. Flawless queen shit.

These two are talented and definitely had some hits left. This is an interesting take given what was going on in their personal/business lives that affected their musical output, which had absolutely nothing to do with Beyonce....or the Beyhive. I don't even see how she got into the convo lol They were a whole era by themselves and created some of the most timeless music. I appreciated the Verzuz so much because I went in without any expectations or projecting my own thoughts and opinions about who was feeling like what towards the other. They have two completely different personalities and different life experiences which shapes how their personalities and how they relate to one another. While they may never be friends, I felt the moment was genuine (even if awkward in spots) and it was something that the culture needed. I know it gave me the biggest boost of nostalgia and I've been rocking music from that era since Monday night.

Why is Beyonce even part of the conversation? Brandy and Monica fell off the chart because their appeal to the general public diminished after 2005-06, and that was totally normal since it was already a decade since their debuts. Beyonce can't decide what the market had to say. :sip2:

Brandy had more mainstream success than Monica but Monica had more urban support especially as they became adults. Brandy started out way bigger but Monica consistency and attitude held her up as they became adults. Both are icons but Brandy has let her bad mom manager get to her head and f**k up her professional career. Sonja is a bitch. She was a nightmare for those Brandy worked/acted with.

I never got that arrogance from Monica either. I just think that Brandy is more the outgoing one of the two.

I totally forgot Monica is a Scorpio and Brandy is an Aquarius. Their interactions make so much sense now, LOL. Glad to see the love between these two Black Queens is there. Also, I'm glad that Monica put all the bulls**t on the internet aside to clear the air. She's 100% right about people being body language experts all of a sudden when none of us were actually there or heard any of their private conversations.
