I don't know the exact numbers but I'm pretty sure the revenue brought from streaming is much less than .01 cent per play. For some reason, I think it's in the .00x range. It's definitely not a lot. It depends on the company. Josh Davison's Twitter account: Correction: iTunes Match pays $0.00330526797710 per stream. Spotify actually pays us more, at $0.00966947678815 per stream. Oddly specific decimals. I think it also changes per label/artist/etc.

It's been #14 on Hot AC for about two years... why is it not moving as fast as on Pop?

That's in part because New Year's Day year-end countdown spins dropped out of the "this week" column today.

With "Ho Hey" slowing down and "Locked Out of Heaven" not falling fast enough, this may be the next number one and block "Ho Hey"! :o

As much as I'm not loving this new "pop star" Taylor Swift, I think this is the best pop song since 'Hold It Against Me' for me. Truly a great pop song.
Note: I mean, I didn't have a problem with the pop music at all but I am noticing a change in her and I do not like it. :(

It's just something I have noticed compared to her last era but other fans don't seem to. It's probably just me, Cam. I honestly can't even put my finger on it. Something is just off to me.

Just curious! I haven't really noticed anything changes other than a young woman growing up. I think the relationship with her fans has remained steadfast at least.

Pop Star Taylor is just as great as Country Star Taylor. Still surprised no Jason Nevins Remixes of this or anything.Still only unofficial remixes.

I kind of think a lot of people are noticing it. I don't mean to start a battle even though I'm sure this is going to, but I've noticed a slight backlash against her as a person forming lately. I know a lot of people who used to be huge fans of her who are getting turned off by her constant tabloid hook-ups and aren't as into her anymore, even if they still like her music. It kind of seems like she is going from what seemed like a geniuine, girl-next-door kind of image to a more typical pop starlet persona and I think a lot of people don't care for it.

As of late, she hasn't seemed quite as charming as she once did. She's becoming a diva?

Yeah the never ending break ups and cyclical relationships are getting annoying so I can see how that interest in her image could be waning for some, even if I still jam out to We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together like it's my birthday song. I personally have never found Taylor to be all that interesting per say, so I don't care. For her I am here for the music only and her last few eras to me have been her best ones. I doubt she will see any real kind of backlash this era though, if it does take it's toll it probably won't be until the end of Red when everything is neatly tided up.

I know a lot of people who used to be huge fans of her who are getting turned off by her constant tabloid hook-ups and aren't as into her anymore, even if they still like her music. These people sound ignorant. Any person who is going to automatically dislike someone because they date (regardless of at what rate) is sort of ridiculous. Taylor doesn't "go through" more guys than any other girl around her age. The difference here is that she's a high profile celebrity, so it's front-page news every time she does. Yes, she seems to go after high-profile celebrities (which only guarantees extensive coverage, hence the "tabloid hook-ups"), but I can't say that I blame her. If I achieved her level of success, I'd be cautious about dating someone who hadn't experienced similar success simply because there's more reason to question their motives and they're less likely to understand/cope with the lifestyle she leads. It's just as silly as people labeling her a "slut" (as if they have an official roster of her sexual partners). Just because you're spotted with someone (or even dated someone briefly) doesn't mean you have or are having sex with them. It seems clear to me that this supposed backlash isn't too widespread at this point, because her album sales, single sales, and concerts are performing phenomenally (if not better than they were the last go-around). I think it's simply a matter of the people who've always had some issue with her have become more vocal as of late due to her more prominent presence in the mainstream media. Before she was being criticized as being "fake" and "juvenile". Now that she's pulled the reigns back a bit (after nonstop scrutiny), people are gonna start saying she's a snobby bitch. lol She can't win for losing with some. It's only natural though I suppose. A lot of people love to try and tear a celebrity down if they're experiencing astronomical levels of success. However, Taylor is the least deserving of this kind of treatment in my opinion. The girl really does have a heart of gold (one only needs to look through her philanthropy work to see this.
