Alicia premeires her new ballad "Brand New Me", I think she first performed the song at the ITunes Music Festival. But here is the studio version, not sure if this is the second single but I sure wouldn't mind it being! This is such a beautiful ballad good job Alicia! You can listen to it here: www.rap-up.com/2012/11/09/new-music-alicia-keys-brand-new-me/

This isn't bad, but it just sounds like any old Alicia Keys album track. I also think this is way too mellow and not Urban enough to be the bonafide Urban smash she needs. I was hoping she'd come harder with her second single after I was disappointed in "Girl On Fire". As someone who's liked the majority of her singles, I've actually lost a lot of interest in this project based on the singles.

Yes I can this struggling to be a huge urban hit, cause its not a hard hitting club banger type of song. But I don't see why this can't be a hit on Urban AC, Pop, and Rhythmic.

Still waiting and waiting for a radio tune... But what kind of non-event is this?

I don't see this being a hit at CHR/Pop if "Girl On Fire" doesn't become a considerable CHR/Pop hit first. Also I don't think this is beat driven enough for Rhythmic.

Forget CHR/Pop and Rhythmic. Will this even make a dent at Urban? It's like a 90's adult contemporary power ballad minus the power.

How did Someone Like You do on Rhythmic??? I don't see any major difference between the two, they're both piano driven. So if SLY was able to be a huge hit on Pop and Rhythmic I don't see why this song can't be.

I don't have the exact Rhythmic peak for "Someone Like You," but it's important to note that a dance remix helped to propel that song at Rhythmic.

I want the duet w/Maxwell. That's the only thing I'm really anticipating for.

I actually don't think this is too bad; it has a strong melody. But it's definitely too Pop (and boring) for Urban radio. Something with this project is so off.

Happy to see the studio version didn't change much from the live version. That beat change on the bridge is going to have to grow on me but I still enjoy this. NO to it possibly being the second single though.
Love Alicia, and she keeps stressing that there's a new her and whatnot but to be honest the music isn't really reflecting that. This and the three other tracks that I've heard from the album all sound nice but are more inline with what I've come to expect from her (post-As I Am era). Hope to be pleasantly surprised when listening to rest of the album.

The arrangement is gorgeous and Emeli is such an amazing songwriter. This sounds like something that will do well in the UK. I don't see this really doing anything here in the states.

I've been listening since the iTunes festival. Sounds even better in the studio. Not sure about this being a second single.

Hard to believe these are the singles after the stellar Try Sleeping With a Broken Heart and Unthinkable (I'm Ready).

It's a Promo single. NOT the second single.
And yes, that is confirmed.

There's no irony in folks here having a negative reaction to songs with positive words and messages. Some of you need this music.
