Oh, I was comparing it to the actual song, not the cover. ITYS is better than the cover because it's only a cover, even though it's amazing.

Position total points weeks on chart "Song" Artist Chart-run 3. 592 018 "Good Time" Owl City and Carly Rae Jepsen 8-7-5-3-3-3-2-1-2-2-1-2-4-7-10-22-29-35-off
Idk who to dedicate this to.
A flawless song by Owl City and Godly Slae Jesusen. Obviously not as good as "Call Me Maybe," but it's still amazing. Kinda burned out on it when it peaked for me, hence the quick drop-off. Only here for CRJ's parts, Owl City is meh.

Red means still charting.Position total points weeks on chart "Song" Artist Chart-run2. 630 019 "Pound the Alarm" Nicki Minaj 12-13-10-8-6-6-6-6-5-4-4-4-3-2-1-3-9-18-29-offThis one is dedicated to Nick. Ahhhhhh I loooooove this song. So sad it flopped on radio. It is definitely my favorite pop song off the album. It would have smashed come album release time if I had a chart at the time. I spammed it sooooooo much. It could have easily hit #1 at the time. Position total points weeks on chart "Song" Artist Chart-run1. 633 026(027) "Call Me Maybe" Carly Rae Jepsen 1-1-3-6-8-8-11-11-13-10-11-10-11-13-15-23-26-26-24-27-31-27-27-28-30-32-(35-)?I just posted my first chart of 2013, so it's #35 this week and its 27th week. That's why the parentheses This one is dedicated to Sean, though. He obviously needs to call me still. Duh. What else would be my song of the year? I guess "What Makes You Beautiful" but that was way too early before my chart. This song is so flawless, though. STILL not sick of it. It's pop perfection, and CRJ is one of my favorites already. I just bought the remix EPs for the 3 singles in the US and they are all amazing. Who knows, maybe the remixes will give this song even more life on my chart??
Ok so I have only 2 album reviews left! Gonna do those today, then order all the albums for sure, then get things ready to start tomorrow. I'll only be a week late, not too bad. :) Tomorrow will see several albums posted. These will be the ones that I have barely listened to, basically because they came out Q4 or were really cheap at holiday sales so they got drowned out by other albums I was looking more forward to. There will be albums by: someone from the UK, a US rapper, a US band, and a US male. Maybe a couple others, I'm not sure yet. But several album reviews to look forward to tomorrow. :) (Although they obviously won't be the best since they're pretty new to me. These are more like inital feelings about them. )

Ok so I'm gonna post 6 albums/EPs today. These ones I haven't listened to much, because I only recently got them, or they have been drowned out by other albums I was anticipating more. That leaves 30 albums (assuming I did everything right) to start up tomorrow. :)

Strange Clouds B.o.B*I don't have any of the Target Deluxe tracks. I may look into getting those sometime soon. This is based on just the standard edition tracks.* Listen to the full album here.General thoughts: Lol at Morgan Freeman being a feature. Let's just start there. So odd, but also kind of smart. I got this on sale at Amazon for a few bucks (same with his first album). I liked a few of the singles from each album so, for the price, it was worth it. I've barely listened to this, so honestly I don't remember much besides Morgan and the singles so yeah... I love "So Good" and "Strange Clouds," and "Both of Us" is decent. I often am a fan of completely different verses and choruses, but I don't think it works that well in "Both of Us." Taylor sounds great, though, especially in the last 30 seconds or so with all the "oooooh"s. Oh and I randomly watched the "So Good" music video in 3D on my 3DS. lmao. It even pops up telling you you can do that on the YT video Best Song(s) (imo): Strange Clouds So GoodSongs that I charted: None. The album pre-dates my chart, and singles released since then have flopped. Overall I would give this album a C at this point. I need to listen a lot more to make a full conclusion, but nothing about it blew me away on the first few listens to make me want to come back for more right away.

I bought it for the same deal I think :O Should be higher Go us! Like I said, I've barely listened. So it could very well change over time. :) Oh and I initially said non-US releases would only be bonuses until they get a release in the US, but I don't want to have to change numbers again and accidentally counted them in my 30. So they make the real countdown then. If they end up getting a US release next year they could make my list again next year too. :)

Overexposed Maroon 5*I don't have any of the deluxe tracks. I may look into getting those sometime soon. This is based on just the standard edition tracks.* Listen to the full album here.General thoughts: I've never been a huge M5 fan, although I've liked several of their singles. I loooooved (and still do) "Moves Like Jagger," and I also love "One More Night." Hate "Payphone," though. So when this was on sale cheap on Amazon I couldn't refuse. This album definitely isn't typical of what's on pop, although it has many elements at times. My first opinion of it isn't bad, but it's not all that great either. Like some of their singles that took time to grow on me, the same could be with this album. Nothing else sticks out in my head thinking back on the album besides the first two singles. I'm still not sure if "Daylight" was a great or terrible single choice. It could be great for the album, using a slower song to help sell a lot, or it could ultimately end up only getting so far from the success of their previous singles and end a lot of momentum. Still too early to tell, although it's doing great so far. :) Best Song(s) (imo): One More NightWorst Song(s) (imo): PayphoneSongs that I charted: One More Night (peak: #1 (1 week), charted 15 weeks) Basically the same as Strange Clouds, I give this (for now, at least) a C. Nothing outside of the singles really is stuck in my head, in a good or bad way. Could definitely grow over time, or I could end up hating it. Most likely I will end up enjoying it more than Strange Clouds. (I'm trying to do these albums in order of least to most favorite, based on inital thoughts.)

Trilogy The WeekndListen to the full album here.General thoughts: I downloaded his 3 mixtapes. I never listened a whole bunch but I enjoyed them, and a few gems stuck out right away. I decided 3 new songs, I would buy this for like $10. I mean, it's 2.5 hours so a great deal. Being so long, I haven't listened much (that's the theme of these first albums btw) but there are definitely some amazing songs I love already. I like the first single, "Wicked Games," and I absolutely love "High for This." It's flawless. "House of Balloons / Glass Table Girls" is great too. I did buy this because when I first got the mixtapes I enjoyed them, but then didn't listen at all for a while, so I don't recall them much for this review. I did quite like them at the time, which is a big reason why I purchased this. So once I have more time to listen I think I will most likely quite like much of this and deserve a better rating. :) Best Song(s) (imo): High for This House of Balloons / Glass Table GirlsSongs that I charted: High for This (peak: #26, charted 8 weeks, still charting) Wicked Games (peak: #38, charted 1 week, still charting) Basically the same as the previous two, it gets a C for now. I fully expect to give this a better rating once I can give it a fair rating. :)

Same for me with Trilogy. It's too long to listen to multiple times.

Gordo Taqueria The CataracsListen to the full album here. (hopefully that works right... I had to make a playlist) General thoughts: So I've basically come to think of this duo as a pop version of Lil Wayne. They loveeeeeee to talk about girls and pussy. A lot. They do have a little more variety than Wayne, but not by a whole lot. Luckily for me they (generally) have great productions, so I think of that more than the lyrics. Kinda like Pitbull and Flo Rida in that sense. Also going great for these two is that there are two of them (although apparently they are now both solo acts now that I like them. ). They get going back and forth with one another, having conversations and making funny voices. It amuses me. The album (or is it an EP?) does get a bit stale at times, and "All You" is pretty terrible. Why Wocka is even liked is way beyond me. He alone makes the song terrible. "Cantaloupe," on the other hand, is flawless. Love that song so much. Best Song(s) (imo): CantaloupeWorst Song(s) (imo): All YouSongs that I charted: Cantaloupe (peak: #1 (2 weeks), charted 14 weeks) This one I have listened to more than the previous 3, definitely, but still not a ton. I pretty much spam "Cantaloupe" and then do a different album. I give the album/EP a C+ for now. Maybe will go up a little bit in time, but probably not by much.
