Fingers crossed that Diamonds is #1 next week (and I don't even really like that song). I'm cool with either "Diamonds" or a 10th week of OMN, just as long as GS doesn't make it to #1.

^Last year, "All I Want For Christmas is You" stood at 21.251 million (with a + 1.957m) through the day before Thanksgiving. So, it looks like it may be running a little behind last year's tally, at least for the moment. With Thanksgiving-day numbers in the mix, it gained almost 3m and stood at 24.213 million. The biggest daily gain then came with airplay for the Friday after T-giving (+4.6m- even lightly larger of a gain than what came with Christmas Day).

I don't think Ke$ha will get #1 but will be blocked by Rihanna. Rihanna's is not close to peaking yet on all formats she is on yet Ke$ha is higher than her on Pop so she will peak first (assuming Diamonds go all the way to the top as well) and that is where the bulk of the AI is coming from. Also Diamonds is ahead on iTunes as well. It will take a fair amount of extra promo for Ke$ha to get that #1.

There's a shiny new No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, as Rihanna's "Diamonds" rises 2-1. The song dethrones Maroon 5's "One More Night" (1-2) after a nine-week reign. With her 12th Hot 100 topper, Rihanna ties Madonna and the Supremes for the fourth-most leaders in the chart's 54-year history. (The Supremes' sum does not include Diana Ross' six solo No. 1s.) Only the Beatles (20), Mariah Carey (18) and Michael Jackson (13; also not counting the Jackson 5's four No. 1s) have sent more titles to the top of the Hot 100. Here is a recap of Rihanna's dozen dominators on the Hot 100: 2006, "SOS" (three weeks at No. 1) 2007," Umbrella," featuring Jay-Z (seven) 2008, "Take a Bow" (one) 2008, "Disturbia" (two) 2008, "Live Your Life" (T.I. featuring Rihanna) (six) 2010, "Rude Boy" (five) 2010, "Love the Way You Lie" (Eminem featuring Rihanna) (seven) 2010, "What's My Name?," featuring Drake (one) 2010, "Only Girl (In the World)" (one) 2011, "S&M," featuring Britney Spears (one) 2011, "We Found Love," featuring Calvin Harris (10) 2012, "Diamonds" (one to date) Having first led the Hot 100 the week of May 13, 2006, with "SOS," Rihanna passes Carey as the female artist to reach 12 No. 1s the fastest. Rihanna's six-year, seven-month span between her first and 12th leaders bests Carey's seven-year, one-month, two-week stretch. Among all acts, only the Beatles (a rapid-fire, Beatlemania-fueled two years, four months and three weeks) and the Supremes (five years, four months) reached the milestone more quickly. "Diamonds" introduces Rihanna's seventh studio set, "Unapologetic," released yesterday. While she has now banked 12 Hot 100 No. 1s, she's yet to top the Billboard 200 album chart. Stay tuned to Billboard.com for projections on whether "Unapologetic" could grant Rihanna her first Billboard 200 No. 1 next week. Also check Billboard.com later today (Nov. 21) for a complete rundown of the latest Hot 100's top 10. On Thursday (22), all rankings, including the Hot 100 and On-Demand Songs in their entirety and Digital Songs and Radio Songs, will be refreshed, as they are each Thursday. www.billboard.com/news#/news/rihanna-s-diamonds-shines-atop-hot-100-1008025052.story

Rihanna at number one at the BBHot100 would be a good change for the chart. OMN has it's time time for a new song at #1.

Gotye's going to see a big drop in airplay and the Hot 100, given how much he's fallen on AC lately. His sales aren't very good anymore, either.

I wonder if Mariah will beat her all-time highest AI with all these bizarre, inflated Mediabase numbers these days? I think she will. The timeframe between TGiving and Xmas is quite large this year. Giving Xmas tunes an extra week or so of airplay. Plus, she's not competing with Buble's and Bieber's version of the song for spins this time around.

Well, those other version of "All I Want..." will get airplay, so she's still "competing"- though it's not really a competition, as her version will get a lot more airplay.
manuaway- I look at the days as compared to when Thanksgiving hit, not the exact date. But it's very possible that with the larger gap between T-giving and Christmas, it will make up the difference.

Diamonds will be #1 at least three weeks, and if the Victoria's Secret performance has an affect maybe even more.

YES!!! DIAMONDS is so damn good. Can't believe she already has 12 #1 hits. she "needs" to release a Greatest Hits asap so she can include everything on one disc lol
Greatest Hits all 12 #1 hits plus #13 and 14 (also coming from this album ;) )
then 4 brand new songs and they will all be singles and it's like another era. BAM she will save the label money, not have to do anywhere near as much work, bring in a multiple more hits, etc. 2013 for Greatest hits!!
