Long time lurker, first time posting for the one and only Joanna Levesque. Vocal daughter of the THEE Mariah Carey.
The album is INCREDIBLE. No exaggerating but this might be one of my favorite albums ever. We’ll see how it ages but I am floored. Also just posted new video for Comeback and announced as a new FentySavage Ambassador!

#48 debut with 14.4k SPS per HITS. Sucks her streak of top-10 debuts was broken but competition was stiff this week; had this matched ML’s first-week, she would’ve debuted at #14.
JoJo debuted at #4 with 95k.
The High Road debuted at #3 with 108k.
Mad Love. debuted at #6 with 25k SPS (18.8k sales).

Damn shame she won't be top ten, but 15k is honestly still great considering it's not a pop album and the promo this go around has been even less than ML received.

I love this woman so much. Been a fan ever since Leave (Get Out) and I love her even more as a fellow Bostonian. Have you guys been checking out her live streams on IG? Homegirl literally CANNOT STOP SINGING. So, if you wanna just hear her burst into song flawlessly, singing her own stuff or others, you should check it out. Meanwhile, I am actually addicted to Good To Know and play it at least once a day. Right now, I'm going back through her catalog again. It's so weird to see the original debut and The High Road album artwork next to the re-done covers in my iTunes. I'm listening to the re-done High Road now just to hear these songs with her adult, sexy voice. The songs sounds better in some cases. There is a slight demo quality to them, but there are more interesting sonic details on Too Little, Too Late that weren't there before.
Also, congrats on the #1 R&B album. She was celebrating a little bit on IG Live today and you could tell how much it means to her, more than actual sales and Hot 100 positions. She cannot fake shit, so you know this is her living her dream.

Still enjoying the album with Pedialyte growing on me even more. I just really wish her team was more aggressive and ...current..? Her Spotify for example has all of her associated “you may also like” artists from the 2006 period. Lindsey Lohan is on there for crying out loud. I don’t know if that’s something they can control but I’m sure they could push it. And I know she’s not on a massive label but she has made it clear she’s not independent.
#1 R&b debut is FANTASTIC and I’m so happy for her but I want her to be able have support in breaking new ground. All YT, Spotify numbers are consistent but almost too consistent.
She’s come SO far, accomplished so much and I’m down for the ride either way.

Spotify's similar artists is based on listener data, it's not something the label or artist can control. At least not directly. The only thing they can do to change that is push hard for playlisting her current music on modern playlists, but even then they'd still have to compete with the thousand of user made playlists that feature her old material among older musicians. |

Really like the new song! I expected Y2K to rap in it, so I was a bit taken back that all he does is production work. I also noticed Sasha Sloan is a writer in it as well!
