"So Bad" is the only song I like and it is soooooooooooooooooo HOT. The rest of the album is meh. I need her to realize her only hits are pop songs with a slight r&b lean. She needs to go back to that direction if she wants commercial success.

What a beautiful, cohesive body of work. She's not going to see any commercial success with it, unfortunately, but I'm sure she and her team know that already. I'm just proud of her for making this album as it is and I admire her growth as an artist. Can't wait to hear what's next.

Plus, that isn’t close to the best song on the album. So I almost stopped reading lol

Thanks George and SHOOTER for the confirmation. Hopefully, I actually get my CD so I can listen today. I have to stalk the package lockers. What's also annoying about Amazon is that the version they put up for free Autorip with purchase of the CD is the streaming version that has Tory Lanes and no intro or outro. Sloppy.

I can do without the intro and outro—the outro is cute though and there’s not enough with the intro. The rest of the album is perfect though. I need “Gold” and especially “Think About You” with videos. I hope she puts this on vinyl without the the intro and outro.

I think the intro and outro were purposely designed to be exclusive to the physical version. I get that. It was just weird to me that I paid for the physical version, but the files that were attached to that purchase were for the digital version. I guess I just wasn't expecting that. Anyway, CD is here and, after my first listen: 1. Comeback (the freakiness, the vibe, the vocal performance, the lyrics...NASTY and I LOVE IT! Is this too nasty for radio? I dunno. I don't listen to radio but this is what I want to hear on repeat. They put those random people on the streaming-only remix, which leads me to believe they want this to be a single. Smart move. I feel like she could sell it on her own, but if Tory and 30Rock are what the kids are into, why not!?) 2. Small Things (the control...OMG...her vocal performance on this is Grammy-worthy and I hope it is recognized. bitch had me in tears at the end) 3. Gold (too short, but a gem in her catalog) 4. Lonely Hearts 5. Don't Talk Me Down 6. Man 7. So Bad (it's so weird to me that Bad Habits wasn't included, especially since it literally is just an extended intro specifically to So Bad. The album sounds weird staring with So Bad, now that I have heard Bad Habits) 8. Think About You 9. Pedialyte (the outro...umm...imagine if we got THAT for the whole song?!) 10. Proud (well...I feel like I got swindled into buying the physical version of this CD since this was the only full song not included on the digital version and...well, the only song worse on the album was the intro, which was barely a minute long, which says a lot.) 11. Bad Habits Judging the album on the digital version, it is an A-/B+ easily. Great job, JoJo! #REALRNB

My only complaint is they left out "Sabotage". It could easily fit into the vibe of this project.

The second half is where this album really gets going for me. Everything from "Small Things" to the end are good, but "Lonely Hearts" and "Comeback" are where its at.

Quite disappointed in this snoozer on the first couple of listens. Really love Man and Lonely Hearts; Down is a great closer, but the rest she could have kept.

Lonely Hearts Gold Small Things (Take Me) (Intro) + So Bad Think About You Don't Talk Me Down Comeback Pedialyte Man Proud (Outro)
This album is filler-free. It's extremely sexy but certainly have depths and are filled with SOUL. "Lonely Hearts" is the clear standout and should've been the lead - that GROOVE! "Small Things" and "Don't Talk Me Down" - talk about a true VOCALIST! "Gold" and "So Bad" - bitch can do the nasty nasty while sounding classy. Current R&B chicks should take notes.

I was gonna order a physical CD edition of her album off her site and it looks like it’s all out of stock?
Is Amazon the only other retailer selling it? The other usuals like Target and Best Buy don’t have a listing at all.

I love R&B and we all already know she has phenomenal vocals. There was nothing to prove there but her first two studio albums had way more standouts. Most of these songs are just boring aside from her vocals. It has nothing to do with the genre shift.

She was also in her early teens when she created those albums and aside from the first couple singles, the albums never sold well. I’m glad she’s doing what she wants instead of pandering to pop audiences who aren’t buying her stuff anyway.

I've made it through the album four or five times now. It's a pleasant listen, it's a vibe, she sounds great. I've been wanting an R&B album from her for ages, but I know she can serve something stronger than this. There's no shortage of weak-voiced R&B singers making nice background music these days, I expect more when it comes to a voice like Jojo's.

To people saying she’s making background music, or boring music...we kind of have to think to ourselves, this is what JoJo “wants.” It’s not bad music, it’s just laid back. And maybe, just maybe, she wants to be “chill” and mature. And, we can’t forget, she can’t please everyone. If she did modern darkish r&b like The Weeknd, for a random example, or r&b pop hits like Ariana, I don’t think she’d have much more success than she already does....I’m sure radio sees her as a has-been. They always want to invest in the new up-and-comer or the hitmaker, so she’s doing what she wants at this point.

The more time I spend with this, the more I like it and think it's better than Mad Love. Is it missing a complete STUNNER like the song Mad Love? Maybe, from a total vibe standpoint, but Small Things is actually a better song than Mad Love. I am still stuck on how hot Comeback is, but this is an extremely well-crafted album. She is in such fine vocal form on Don't Talk Me Down. None of these other young "R&B singers" could EVER. The way her voice has matured and also the way she executes runs is just...sublime.

So, interestingly, despite the fact that her label refuses to push her at urban and urban AC, they actually are pushing her to the r&b streaming crowd. "Lonely Hearts" and "Comeback" are featured on The Newness, an Spotify R&B playlist. And not only that, she's the main image for the playlist! The playlist does have "only" 731k followers, but that's still pretty big for her. "Comeback" is also on the Chilled R&B playlist at #3 and it has almost 2 million followers.

Music video for Comeback came out earlier today and damn she looks so fucking gooooooood, fuck me up Joanna
Anyways I love the album and I am happy she has found her sound, R&B suits her so well, though I do love her pop stuff too, but this album feels like where she wants to be sonically. I'm just happy for her, she looks wonderful and happy
