Was not expecting anything this soon from her, but I really like that she's releasing free music while she records her album for Atlantic. Her voice has gotten even better. Wow.

Sometimes I think her struggle with Blackground was a blessing in disguise. Who knows how she'd be regarded now if she recorded a few more albums in her teens? Would she be seen as a washed up teen pop star? I feel like her situation is allowing her to basically emerge as a brand new artist at this point. Everything happens for a reason, this was definitely a blessing in disguise. So many talented young singers musical careers have fallen by the side due to lack of label support or subpar material since Jojo started (Diana DeGarmo, Paula DeAnda, Kat DeLuna, Nina Sky being a few). I would love to see Jojo continue to release music and share her gift. |

Now that she's out, I think her whole experience with Blackground might have saved her. The sound she had back in the day was the R&B-lite that's pretty much extinct today except for Ariana Grande. None of the other girls out at that time were able to pick a lane to crossover to so I think her basically being able to go MIA for a close to a decade was probably for the best. It allowed her to grow up and come back out as a full fledged R&B singer instead of having to gamble with crossing over at her peak.

O.M.G. "Take Me Home" was one of my favorite songs as a kid. I was always a big fan of Phil Collins (I have his greatest hits and respect him as an artist), but WHAT DID JOANNA LEVESQUE DOOOOO?! My spirit has been SLAIN with that version. Everything about it gives me goosebumps. It should be released officially, really, in SOME capacity. It needs more exposure. I need to pick myself up off the ground. FULL STAN MODE.

Her head voice is simply incredible on "Glory." With the right music, I really feel like her next album could make her a superstar. She's got the talent, respect, and interest to make a massive comeback.

#LOVEJO is phenomenal, and her voice has matured so well. I can't wait to see what she creates under Atlantic now. I'm ready for so much more material from her and that 3rd proper LP. She's amazing.

JoJo was apart of Pharrell's G I R L Google Hangout Listening and they confirmed that they will be going into the studio for her album. When he mentioned that she was on Atlantic Records she yelled, "Thank God!" He said she should've came to Columbia.

That gives me so much hope for her next era.
Has she confirmed if she's just now starting to record for the album? I thought maybe she'd be pretty far along at this point, given the years of Blackground incarceration.

The way they both sounded, he may just be the last producer that she goes into the studio with. He said her album was amazing and that he wanted to get into the studio with her before she finished up everything.
