This is the following batch.
| 50. 15,373 | MNEK – "The Rhythm" Peak: #1 | Weeks on chart: 16 | Certification: Platinum Entry: March 1, 2015 | Peak: March 1, 2015 Chart run: 1 – 3 – 3 – 4 – 9 – 11 – 15 – 18 – 22 – 22 – 25 – 26 – 29 – 33 – 33 – 38 – out |
"The Rhythm" is the third single from MNEK's EP Small Talk and it's a deep house track with some elements of UK garage. In case you didn't know (or remember), I was hoping for this track to be released sometime last year after I listened to it in late 2014 on Annie Mac's BBC Radio 1 show. Even, when I did the comment for "Ready for Your Love" on my latest EOY chart, I mentioned that. Anyway, back on topic, this track is amazing. I was blown away when I listened to it for the first time and the production is sick and a banger. The only thing I regret about this is its placement because it should have been higher than it is though. As a side note, I wish MNEK could break through, especially in the US. He's so underrated and he needs to be more successful than he currently is to be honest. Hopefully, he will find more in the following months after how great "Never Forget You" performed in some European countries and Oceania. This is the last entry from MNEK. | 49. 15,627 | Adele – "Hello" Peak: #1 | Weeks on chart: 10 (still charting) | Certification: Platinum Entry: October 25, 2015 | Peak: November 29, 2015 Chart run: 16 – 10 – 8 – 5 – 3 – 1 – 1 – 1 – 1 – 2 – (...) |
"Hello" was released as the lead single from Adele's third studio album 25 and it's a piano ballad with some influences of soul. I don't consider myself as a huge fan of Adele, but I can't deny that I had a lot of hype about her new stuff when the first ad of an untitled track from her, which turned into "Hello", was aired during the break of The X Factor. I mean, it was so unexpected that it made (literally) everyone to look forward to this. After that, all the news came too fast and when it was announced that the track was going to be unveiled at 7am. UK time, I had to alter my sleeping schedule, so I could listen to the song at my local time. Obviously, I was a zombie the next day, but it was worthy because everything about the song is perfect, including the music video. This is the only appearance from Adele. | 48. 15,866 | Marlon Roudette – "When the Beat Drops" Peak: #6 | Weeks on chart: 20 (2 in 2014 / 18 in 2015) | Certification: 2x Platinum Entry: December 21, 2014 | Peak: March 1, 2015 Chart run: 39 – 37 – 33 – 31 – 30 – 26 – 22 – 13 – 9 – 7 – 6 – 7 – 7 – 12 – 14 – 19 – 25 – 27 – 31 – 37 – out 2014 peak: #173 |
"When the Beat Drops Out" was released as the first single from Marlon Roudette's second album Electric Soul and it's a chill-out synthpop track with some R&B influences. I remember I listened to this track on one of my local Alternative radio station and I liked it, so I had to find the title of this. The production is awesome and Marlon's voice complements so well with it. Also, the steel drums on this one are incredible. In a perfect world, this would have smashed everywhere and the music video will be available in my country, which is still blocked in case you didn't detect the sarcasm here. (angry) This is Marlon Roudette's only appearance. | 47. 15,929 | Disclosure – "Bang That" Peak: #6 | Weeks on chart: 18 | Certification: Platinum Entry: May 3, 2015 | Peak: July 5, 2015 Chart run: 38 – 29 – 25 – 25 – 21 – 18 – 16 – 14 – 9 – 6 – 7 – 10 – 13 – 13 – 17 – 22 – 29 – 40 – out |
"Bang That" is a song from Disclosure, which was included on the iTunes deluxe edition of their second album Caracal, The track is a UK funky and guetto house track and it samples the vocals from "Pass Out" by 313 Bass Mechanics. This is the first of four entries from Disclosure. | 46. 16,474 | George FitzGerald f/ Lawrence Hart – "Crystallise" Peak: #3 | Weeks on chart: 18 | Certification: 2x Platinum Entry: May 3, 2015 | Peak: July 12, 2015 Chart run: 35 – 31 – 27 – 26 – 24 – 21 – 19 – 16 – 11 – 9 – 3 – 6 – 8 – 10 – 15 – 18 – 25 – 34 – out |
"Crystallise" is a track from British DJ and producer George FitzGerald, who is based in Germany, and it's included on his debut album Fading Love and it features vocals from Lawrence Hart. It's a chill out electronica song with some elements of house. This is the only appearance from George FitzGerald and Lawrence Hart.

Thanks a lot! This is the next set, which I decided to call it as the Disclosure one. :)
| 45. 16,499 | Disclosure – "Jaded" Peak: #4 | Weeks on chart: 14 (still charting) | Certification: 2x Platinum Entry: September 27, 2015 | Peak: November 29, 2015 Chart run: 33 – 25 – 18 – 14 – 9 – 9 – 9 – 7 – 5 – 4 – 7 – 11 – 11 – 14 – (...) |
"Jaded" was released as the third single from Disclosure's second album Caracal and it's a UK garage track with some deep house influences. I remember I was at work when I saw that Disclosure posted on their social media accounts that "Jaded" was going to receive its first play the next day on Clara Amfo's BBC Radio 1 show and the music video will be premiered after that. With the latter, it was clear that they are going to release this track as the next single and I got excited because it was one of the tracks that Howard sings on it. The next day, I listened to it and, as expected, I enjoyed it and I could guess that the main reason is because of Howard's vocals, which I tend to enjoy the most. Also, the 'soak it up, soak it up and save it' part is really good. This is the second appearance from Disclosure and there are still two more tracks left from them. | 44. 16,533 | Passion Pit – "Lifted Up (1985)" Peak: #4 | Weeks on chart: 19 | Certification: 2x Platinum Entry: February 22, 2015 | Peak: May 3, 2015 Chart run: 38 – 36 – 32 – 29 – 22 – 18 – 17 – 13 – 11 – 8 – 4 – 7 – 9 – 12 – 15 – 22 – 23 – 29 – 38 – out |
"Lifted Up (1985)" is a track by American indie band Passion Pit, which was released as the lead single from their third album Kindred. It's an indie pop and synthpop song. I was looking forward to Passion Pit's new stuff after how much I enjoyed Gossamer and I got into their previous singles "Take a Walk" and "Carried Away", so when it was announced that they were going to release it last year, I was excited and I wasn't disappointed when I listened to it. I have always really liked Michael Angelakos' voice, so it complements so well with the track. Also, the music video is really good too. There's still a song left from Passion Pit as a featured artist. | 43. 16,551 | Disclosure f/ Lorde – "Magnets" Peak: #1 | Weeks on chart: 13 (still charting) | Certification: 2x Platinum Entry: October 4, 2015 | Peak: November 22, 2015 Chart run: 37 – 27 – 20 – 15 – 12 – 6 – 4 – 1 – 2 – 2 – 3 – 7 – 9 – (...) |
"Magnets" was released as the fourth single from Disclosure's second album Caracal and it features vocals from Lorde. It's a UK garage track with elements of deep house. I would definitely lie if I say that this wasn't one of the tracks that I wasn't looking forward to after I saw that pic from Disclosure and Lorde on Twitter last year. I mean, a collaboration between them was something I was waiting for after Disclosure and Lorde performed "Royals" and "White Noise" with AlunaGeorge at the BRIT Awards in 2014. As a consequence, when the track came out, it was incredible and one of the standouts of the album when I listened to it some days later. Lorde's vocals are really good and it fits so well in Disclosure's production. Oh! And the US mainstream format needs to hurry up with this one to be honest. There's still a song left from Disclosure and this is the only appearance from Lorde. | 42. 16,623 | John Newman – "Come and Get It" Peak: #1 | Weeks on chart: 16 | Certification: 2x Platinum Entry: June 14, 2015 | Peak: July 26, 2015 Chart run: 39 – 34 – 25 – 12 – 8 – 3 – 1 – 4 – 8 – 6 – 9 – 12 – 18 – 21 – 30 – 35 – out |
"Come and Get It" is a song by English singer and songwriter John Newman, which was released as the first single from his second album Revolve. It's a soul and R&B track with funk and pop elements. Despite there are some parts that it's hard to understand when John sings on this track because of his pronunciation, I can't deny that this song is incredible. The whistles at the beginning and the end of the track, as well as the horns, are amazing and the chorus stucks on your head, which is the best part in my opinion. This is the only entry from John Newman. | 41. 16,805 | Disclosure f/ Sam Smith – "Omen" Peak: #3 | Weeks on chart: 17 | Certification: 2x Platinum Entry: August 2, 2015 | Peak: September 20, 2015 Chart run: 31 – 24 – 19 – 13 – 8 – 5 – 4 – 3 – 6 – 9 – 13 – 17 – 20 – 24 – 27 – 32 – 40 – out |
"Omen" was released as the second overall single and first US single from Disclosure's second album Caracal and it features vocals from Sam Smith, being their third collaboration after "Latch" and "Together". It's a UK garage track with elements of deep house. This is the last entry from Disclosure and the only appearance from Sam Smith.

Thanks! This is the next set.
| 40. 16,817 | X Ambassadors – "Renegades" Peak: #5 | Weeks on chart: 22 | Certification: 2x Platinum Entry: June 7, 2015 | Peak: September 13, 2015 Chart run: 39 – 36 – 36 – 33 – 32 – 32 – 32 – 28 – 24 – 21 – 21 – 17 – 14 – 8 – 5 – 6 – 9 – 12 – 16 – 19 – 28 – 35 – out |
"Renegades" is a song by American band X Ambassadors, which was included on their debut album VHS. The track was released as the second single from the album and it's an Alternative song with some indie folk influences. I remember I listened to this track on one of my local Alternative radio stations and I liked it. It took a couple of more listens to totally grow on me though, despite the message in the song is really good. And I think that the music video helped me a lot as well because it's perfect. This is the only appearance from X Ambassadors. | 39. 17,244 | Ellie Goulding – "On My Mind" Peak: #2 | Weeks on chart: 14 | Certification: 2x Platinum Entry: September 20, 2015 | Peak: October 18, 2015 Chart run: 10 – 8 – 8 – 5 – 2 – 3 – 5 – 7 – 9 – 11 – 14 – 20 – 27 – 35 – out |
"On My Mind" was released as the lead single from Ellie Goulding's third album Delirium back in November and it's an electropop song. I have been anxious for Ellie's new stuff for almost a year after the promotion from Halcyon and Halcyon Days ended. Then, she released "Love Me Like You Do" (/spoiler) early last year and I was waiting for the lead single from the album to come out. When it finally was announced later last year and it was premiered on Nick Grimshaw's BBC Radio 1 show, I had to alter my sleeping schedule, so I could listen to it after midnight local time. After I did that, I liked the track. It was something different from Ellie's usual stuff, but I already knew about that change of direction beforehand. However, my complain came out when I listened to the instant grats and promotional tracks from Delirium came out, as well as the album, because I would have chosen another track as the lead single. There's a song left from Ellie Goulding. | 38. 17,260 | SG Lewis – "Warm" Peak: #6 | Weeks on chart: 19 (still charting) | Certification: 2x Platinum Entry: August 23, 2015 | Peak: October 25, 2015 Chart run: 40 – 37 – 32 – 28 – 22 – 15 – 10 – 7 – 7 – 6 – 8 – 11 – 13 – 16 – 16 – 18 – 20 – 25 – 33 – (...) |
"Warm" is a track by British producer SG Lewis and it's an electronica song. I found this track when James (or cm7com) made a thread for this in the CHR/Pop forum and it was impacting at that time in this format. The reason of this was because a clip of the track was used on the TV series Ballers, so Republic Playbook thought it was a great idea to push it there. When I arrived to my house, I listened to it and I was blown away because it was incredible. I love the chill-out sound that it has, which is also hypnotic at the same time, as well as the vocals. Obviously, I didn't expect this to do anything because the track isn't a Top 40/mainstream song and this happened. However, I wish I would have been proven wrong of course. As a side note, SG Lewis has signed a publishing deal with Fly Eye Records, Calvin's record label, and Sony ATV, so... I hope a collaboration between them could happen soon. This is the only appearance from SG Lewis. | 37. 17,600 | Josef Salvat – "Open Season" Peak: #3 | Weeks on chart: 18 (still charting) | Certification: 2x Platinum Entry: August 30, 2015 | Peak: November 15, 2015 Chart run: 38 – 36 – 31 – 31 – 26 – 20 – 15 – 13 – 10 – 7 – 4 – 3 – 6 – 10 – 13 – 16 – 17 – 20 – (...) |
"Open Season" is a song by Australian singer and songwriter Josef Salvat, which is included on his EP In Your Prime and it's on his debut album Night Swim as well. I don't remember exactly how I got into Josef honestly. I think that it could be when Kurt made a thread for "Holding On", a song by Tourist where Josef was featured as well as Niia, and I listened to the track or I lurked a thread of him on BuzzJack and I checked some of his stuff. Either way, I'm glad I did that because his songs are incredible. Also, did I mention that he also sings in French? Anyway, back on topic, I think I wasn't too sure which song to pick from him after I listened to the singles he released, so I went with "Open Season" because he re-released the track and a music video came out too. Also, an English/French version was unveiled, being inside the Top 100 on iTunes France at the moment. The track is really good and I really enjoy the production, as well as Josef's vocals. Honestly, Josef Salvat is one of my favourite artists at the moment, so I hope he could blow out this year with the WW release of Night Swim, especially in the US. He's so talented and I hope this happen, so, please, don't mess it up, Columbia Records. This is Josef Salvat's only appearance. | 36. 17,975 | Foster the People – "Pseudologia Fantastica" Peak: #5 | Weeks on chart: 16 | Certification: 2x Platinum Entry: March 29, 2015 | Peak: May 3, 2015 Chart run: 21 – 15 – 12 – 12 – 6 – 5 – 6 – 5 – 5 – 7 – 11 – 13 – 18 – 23 – 28 – 36 – out |
"Pseudologia Fantastica" was released as the third single from Foster the People's second album Supermodel back in March of 2014 and it's an Alternative song with some indie and electronica influences. Some of you could think why this song is doing on my 2015 EOY chart when it was released a year before and the answer is simple: Foster the People came to Peru for the very first time last year and I saw them live! :) I remember I was so hyped with their concert, so I kept listening to their discography and I thought it could be a good idea to chart a song from them. I already charted "Coming of Age" and "Best Friend", so I ruled out both of them and I focused on the following singles which don't enter on my weekly chart, being this one and "Are You What You Want to Be?". I was torn which one I should pick and I went with the former because it was the one I preferred the most at the moment. That said, I don't regret doing this (charting a song from them) because I'm sure that if "Pseudologia Fantastica" (or "Are You What You Want to Be?" if I have gone with that) entered two years, it wouldn't have done as well as it did last year. There's a song left from Foster the People, but it should be clarified that it's credited with Mark Foster, which appears as a featured artist.

This is the following set.
| 35. 18,327 | Robert DeLong – "Don't Wait Up" Peak: #4 | Weeks on chart: 18 | Certification: 2x Platinum Entry: August 23, 2015 | Peak: November 1, 2015 Chart run: 37 – 33 – 26 – 20 – 18 – 13 – 11 – 10 – 8 – 8 – 4 – 5 – 6 – 9 – 13 – 16 – 25 – 37 – out |
"Don't Wait Up" is a track by Robert DeLong, which was released as the proper first single from his second album In the Cards. The track is an Alternative song with some electronica influences. I remember I saw this track on Justin's (or Zebra.) chart around June of last year, so I checked it out and I liked it, but I held its entry on my weekly chart until I listened to it a couple of times on one of my local Alternative radio stations. Anyway, I really enjoy this track and I actually prefer it over "Long Way Down". Also, as I mentioned there, his multi-instrumentalist skills are incredible. This is the last entry from Robert DeLong. | 34. 18,346 | Major Lazer & DJ Snake f/ MØ – "Lean On" Peak: #3 | Weeks on chart: 20 | Certification: 2x Platinum Entry: April 12, 2015 | Peak: June 14, 2015 Chart run: 38 – 33 – 30 – 24 – 19 – 17 – 13 – 11 – 6 – 3 – 5 – 7 – 10 – 12 – 15 – 19 – 22 – 27 – 31 – 39 – out |
"Lean On" was released as the lead single from Major Lazer's third studio album Peace Is the Mission and it's a collaboration with DJ Snake and it features vocals from MØ. The track is an electronica song with some reggae elements. I guess it's not necessary to say that this track was literally everywhere last year. I liked it when I listened to it for the first time, but it grew on me after it took off in the UK because I used to listen to the Official Charts every Sunday. Anyway, Major Lazer and DJ Snake's production in the track is great, but I prefer the one that the former did. Also, MØ's vocals complement so well on it. Nowadays, I still listen to it, but not as much as I used to because, as I previously mentioned, the radio stations hammered it to a point that you want to avoid it, although you can't (sometimes). This is the last entry from Diplo (in this case, with his group Major Lazer) and this is the only appearance from DJ Snake and MØ. | 33. 18,382 | Miami Horror f/ Aaron Miller & Gavin Turek – "Cellophane (So Cruel)" Peak: #4 | Weeks on chart: 20 | Certification: 2x Platinum Entry: June 28, 2015 | Peak: August 30, 2015 Chart run: 40 – 33 – 29 – 26 – 23 – 20 – 14 – 9 – 5 – 4 – 4 – 6 – 8 – 12 – 15 – 19 – 21 – 27 – 30 – 36 – out |
"Cellophane (So Cruel)" is a song by Australian band Miami Horror, which features Aaron Miller and Gavin Turek on vocals and it's included on their second album All Possible Futures. It's a synthpop track with indie and electronica influences. Literally, I didn't know anything about Miami Horror until they were announced as the supporter act on Foster the People's concert in Peru. I remember I listened to their first album and the singles from their second one on Spotify to know about their stuff before the concert and I liked them. And I would say I liked them even more after I saw their live performance. Almost three months later, I found out that they were promoting this track through Daily MPE in Australia, so I jumped on it. Aaron Miller and Gavin Turek's vocals sound really good together on the production, which is great as well. This is Miami Horror's only appearance. | 32. 18,959 | Years & Years – "Desire" Peak: #2 | Weeks on chart: 24 (5 in 2014 / 19 in 2015) | Certification: 2x Platinum Entry: November 30, 2014 | Peak: February 8, 2015 Chart run: 39 – 37 – 34 – 31 – 27 – 25 – 23 – 22 – 14 – 7 – 2 – 2 – 3 – 5 – 8 – 9 – 14 – 17 – 21 – 26 – 26 – 29 – 34 – 40 – out 2014 peak: #152 |
"Desire" was released as the third overall single from Years & Years' debut album Communion and it's a synthpop track. I remember that this was the first song I listened to them after I saw that it was released in the UK later in 2014 and I loved it. The synthpop production with the electronica influences was so great and Olly's vocals are so damn good, especially in the chorus. Oh! And the bridge is awesome too. There are still two songs left from Years & Years. | 31. 19,162 | Madeon f/ Passion Pit – "Pay No Mind" Peak: #2 | Weeks on chart: 20 | Certification: 2x Platinum Entry: February 15, 2015 | Peak: April 5, 2015 Chart run: 39 – 35 – 32 – 28 – 20 – 7 – 4 – 2 – 3 – 5 – 5 – 8 – 13 – 15 – 17 – 20 – 23 – 25 – 30 – 37 – out |
"Pay No Mind" was released as the third single from Madeon's debut album Adventure and it's a nu-disco song with some electro elements. The track features vocals from Michael Angelakos, the lead singer of Passion Pit. I remember that I saw an upcoming release schedule from Music Week early last year and it was mentioned that a new song from Madeon called "Pay No Mind" was going to be released on March in the UK. Then, I realized that day that he was on Alice Levine's BBC Radio 1 show, so I listened to the interview and I found out that he mentioned that it's going to be featured by Passion Pit. I literally freaked out. I mean, Passion Pit on Madeon's track? :'( Anyway, I had a lot of hype regarding this track and when it came out a month later, in February, I wasn't disappointed because it was awesome. Michael sounds great in an electronica song and Madeon's production was so good too. The only complain I could find is that Michael's vocals tend to be high pitched, but I avoided that. There are still three songs left from Madeon and this is the last one from Passion Pit.

Next batch.
| 30. 19,712 | What So Not f/ George Maple – "Gemini" Peak: #7 | Weeks on chart: 19 | Certification: 2x Platinum Entry: April 12, 2015 | Peak: May 24, 2015 Chart run: 10 – 9 – 9 – 10 – 11 – 10 – 7 – 8 – 10 – 9 – 11 – 13 – 13 – 19 – 24 – 27 – 29 – 35 – 40 – out |
"Gemini" is a song from What So Not, which features vocals from George Maple and it's the title track of the EP that came out later last year. I got into What So Not because of their track "Jaguar", which was released in late 2013, so when I found out about this one, I listened to it and I really enjoyed as expected. George's vocals are incredible on this one and the production complements so well with her voice. Also, the synths in the breakdown are always a pleasure to listen to any time I play this track. Wow! As a side note, it should be mentioned that this was one of the latest tracks that Flume worked with Emoh Instead after his departure of the duo to focus on his solo material. This is the only entry from What So Not and George Maple, but there's one from Flume. | 29. 19,832 | Galantis – "Runaway (U & I)" Peak: #1 | Weeks on chart: 18 | Certification: 2x Platinum Entry: April 19, 2015 | Peak: May 17, 2015 Chart run: 32 – 24 – 15 – 5 – 1 – 3 – 3 – 7 – 6 – 6 – 8 – 8 – 13 – 17 – 22 – 28 – 33 – 39 – out |
"Runaway (U & I)" is a track from Galantis, which is included on their debut album Pharmacy. The song was released as the proper lead single from the album (or second if "You" is included) and it features uncredited and heavily processed vocals from Cathy Dennis in the verses and Julia Karlsson in the chorus. I remember I listened to this track early last year and I liked it, but I wasn't into it too much. Three months later, when the song took off in the UK, I listened to it more and more and I guess it finally clicked on me, so that's the reason why it technically exploded on my weekly chart. The track is fantastic and I guess that I could say it's joyful too. This is the last appearance from Galantis. | 28. 19,848 | Calvin Harris f/ HAIM – "Pray to God" Peak: #6 | Weeks on chart: 23 | Certification: 2x Platinum Entry: January 11, 2015 | Peak: April 12, 2015 Chart run: 38 – 37 – 36 – 32 – 29 – 28 – 22 – 19 – 16 – 16 – 8 – 8 – 7 – 6 – 6 – 7 – 9 – 12 – 13 – 18 – 27 – 35 – out |
"Pray to God" was released as the sixth overall single from Calvin Harris' fourth album Motion and it features vocals from HAIM. When the album came out, I remember that this was one of the highlights from it for me, so I was pushing for this to be released as a single and I'm glad that this happened, despite it made "Faith" to not be officially released. Either way, HAIM's vocals suit perfectly with Calvin's production and the assistance of Ariel Rechtshaid. Also, I love the harmonies throughout it. As a side note, I find odd that I've never intended to replace the original version with the Calvin Harris vs. Mike Pickering Haҫienda remix at some point of its chart run. There's a song left from Calvin Harris and this is the only appearance from HAIM. | 27. 19,936 | Zedd f/ Jon Bellion – "Beautiful Now" Peak: #4 | Weeks on chart: 20 | Certification: 2x Platinum Entry: May 17, 2015 | Peak: July 5, 2015 Chart run: 33 – 31 – 28 – 20 – 14 – 9 – 5 – 4 – 4 – 5 – 6 – 8 – 9 – 11 – 15 – 19 – 21 – 29 – 36 – 40 – out |
"Beautiful Now" was released as the second single from Zedd's second album True Colors and it features vocals from Jon Bellion. I remember that I really liked this track when it came out and I preferred it over "I Want You to Know", the song which features Selena Gomez. Both tracks can't be compared, but this one was more instant in my opinion. Also, it was a good opportunity to check out Jon Bellion's stuff, despite they are georestricted on Spotify in my country. >:( Regarding the track, the breakdown is so euphoric and I think this is the part that I really enjoy from it. Moreover, Jon Bellion's voice is really good and it complements with Zedd's production. This is Zedd's last entry and the only appearance from Jon Bellion. | 26. 19,940 | Years & Years – "Shine" Peak: #3 | Weeks on chart: 22 | Certification: 2x Platinum Entry: June 14, 2015 | Peak: August 16, 2015 Chart run: 40 – 37 – 32 – 29 – 24 – 18 – 11 – 9 – 6 – 3 – 3 – 5 – 7 – 9 – 11 – 14 – 17 – 23 – 28 – 34 – 36 – 40 – out |
"Shine" is a song from Years & Years, which was included on their debut album Communion and it was released as the fifth overall single from the aforementioned album. As expected, I instantly liked this track from Years & Years when I listened to it for the first time. The electronica elements throughout the synthpop production are really great and Olly's vocals suit on it as well. I think that the bridge is one of the best parts of the track. There's still a song left from Years & Years.

Following set.
| 25. 19,947 | Troye Sivan – "Happy Little Pill" Peak: #3 | Weeks on chart: 21 | Certification: 2x Platinum Entry: January 4, 2015 | Peak: January 25, 2015 Chart run: 20 – 4 – 4 – 3 – 3 – 6 – 7 – 9 – 11 – 14 – 14 – 20 – 23 – 27 – 30 – 30 – 28 – 29 – 32 – 35 – 39 – out |
"Happy Little Pill" is a track by South African-born Australian singer Troye Sivan, which was released as the lead single from his EP TRXYE. I remember I got into this song after I saw on Alen's (or Rocky.) EOY of 2014 and I was curious about the track, so I listened to it and I loved it. It was literally the first song that I've listened to from Troye because I had no idea who he was. Anyway, regarding the track, I like the downtempo electronica vibe and sound that the production has, as well as Troye's vocals. There's a song left from Troye Sivan. | 24. 19,955 | RÜFÜS – "You Were Right" Peak: #1 | Weeks on chart: 20 | Certification: 2x Platinum Entry: July 5, 2015 | Peak: September 13, 2015 Chart run: 37 – 34 – 31 – 26 – 23 – 19 – 12 – 7 – 3 – 3 – 1 – 2 – 4 – 7 – 11 – 15 – 22 – 25 – 32 – 37 – out |
"You Were Right" was released as the first single from RÜFÜS' (known as RÜFÜS DU SOL in North America) second album Bloom. Like Troye Sivan, I also didn't know who RÜFÜS were until I listened to this track because of Slizzard. Yeah! He was the one who (sort of) introduced me to them after I saw a thread of this track on BuzzJack and I really enjoyed it. The production seems like a mix of alternative indie and electronica, which is always a pleasure to listen, and it also has influences of house. Even, the vocals from Tyrone Lindqvist suit perfectly on it. This is the only appearance from RÜFÜS. | 23. 20,153 | Taylor Swift – "Style" Peak: #4 | Weeks on chart: 22 | Certification: 2x Platinum Entry: January 18, 2015 | Peak: April 5, 2015 Chart run: 39 – 35 – 33 – 28 – 25 – 18 – 14 – 12 – 10 – 6 – 5 – 4 – 7 – 7 – 13 – 16 – 18 – 18 – 20 – 26 – 28 – 37 – out |
"Style" was released as the third single from Taylor Swift's fifth album 1989 and it's a pop track with some elements of electro. This song was one of my favourites when the album was released and, as I mentioned before, I was even rooting for this to be released as the second single besides "Blank Space". I really enjoy the production of the track, which tends to be something from the 80s, as well as the hook and the riffs throughout it. Taylor's vocals also suit perfectly on the track. As a side note, I guess I'm in the minority, but I love the video. I know that it doesn't fit with the track because I thought that the music video would be something like the adverts from Target, but the visuals are incredible and it's different from the videos she released before. I mean, anyone can't deny that, right? There's one more song from Taylor Swift. | 22. 20,476 | Madeon f/ Mark Foster – "Nonsense" Peak: #5 | Weeks on chart: 25 | Certification: 2x Platinum Entry: May 3, 2015 | Peak: August 9, 2015 Chart run: 40 – 39 – 39 – 38 – 35 – 31 – 28 – 26 – 22 – 15 – 15 – 14 – 9 – 6 – 5 – 5 – 6 – 9 – 12 – 15 – 19 – 22 – 26 – 31 – 39 – out |
"Nonsense" is a song from Madeon, which features vocals from Foster the People's lead singer Mark Foster, and it was released as the fifth single (fourth excluding "Home" [/spoiler]) from the aforementioned album. The day when I found out that Passion Pit were going to be featured on Madeon's album was the same that the album was available for pre-order and, by default, the tracklisting was revealed. That said, it was a shocked for me when I saw Mark Foster's name on it because I wasn't expecting to see a collaboration between him and Madeon. Regarding the track, Madeon's nu-disco production with house influences is amazing and Mark's vocals complement so well on it, which I think it's something different to see from the latter because the stuff he does with Foster the People doesn't involve too much electronica and it could something related to a mix of indie and electronica instead. There are two songs left from Madeon and this is the only appearance from Mark Foster, but the last one if the name of the band is included. | 22. 20,476 | Example – "Whisky Story" Peak: #1 | Weeks on chart: 18 | Certification: 2x Platinum Entry: July 12, 2015 | Peak: August 9, 2015 Chart run: 14 – 9 – 5 – 2 – 1 – 1 – 2 – 6 – 6 – 10 – 13 – 16 – 19 – 25 – 25 – 29 – 33 – 38 – out |
"Whisky Story" is a track from Example, whose real name is Elliot Gleave, and it's expected to be the lead single from his sixth studio album. I am a fan of Example, so I usually look forward to the stuff he releases next. And this wasn't the exception when I found out that there was going to be a new track from him coming out soon. I remember I listen to it a few days earlier than the radio premiere on Clara Amfo's BBC Radio 1 show because it was uploaded on iTunes Russia. Regarding the track, I really like it, but not as much as his other lead singles. I mean, the song isn't bad because I consider it as a grower and the verses are the strongest part of the track. I think I would even say that because Example is rapping again and this, by default, makes a plus for me on each track he does that. The hook is cool too. This is Example's only entry.

This is the next batch.
| 20. 20,822 | Hurts – "Some Kind of Heaven" Peak: #2 | Weeks on chart: 18 | Certification: 2x Platinum Entry: May 31, 2015 | Peak: June 7, 2015 Chart run: 9 – 2 – 2 – 3 – 3 – 5 – 6 – 7 – 12 – 14 – 13 – 13 – 16 – 18 – 22 – 27 – 34 – 38 – out |
"Some Kind of Heaven" was released as the first single from Hurts' third album Surrender back in October of last year and it's a synthpop track. I have to be honest that I didn't know too much about Hurts until Theo Hutchcraft was featured on "Under Control", a collaboration between Calvin Harris and Alesso. After that, I checked some of their previous stuff and they were good, so I was looking forward to their new record. When it happened with the release of this track, I was pleased because I enjoyed it on first listen. Theo's vocals sound really well on the production and Adam's synthesizers throughout it are great as well. This is Hurts' only appearance. | 19. 21,091 | Troye Sivan – "Wild" Peak: #1 | Weeks on chart: 17 (still charting) | Certification: 2x Platinum Entry: September 6, 2015 | Peak: November 8, 2015 Chart run: 39 – 33 – 28 – 20 – 13 – 9 – 6 – 4 – 3 – 1 – 1 – 2 – 3 – 5 – 7 – 14 – 16 – out |
"Wild" is the title track of Troye Sivan's third EP of the same name and it was also the lead single from his debut album Blue Neighbourhood. After how much I got into TRXYE and "Happy Little Pill", I was excited about what Troye will be released and I wasn't disappointed with this one when I listened to the EP when it came out. The production is amazing and complements so well with Troye's vocals, which sounds mature if it's considered that he's only 20. Also, this song was part of the Blue Neighbourhood trilogy and it was the first one to come. That said, all of them were really good and I enjoyed watching them, aside the cliffhanger in the last one. This is the last appearance from Troye Sivan. | 18. 21,174 | Sleepy Tom f/ Anna Lunoe – "Pusher" Peak: #2 | Weeks on chart: 20 | Certification: 2x Platinum Entry: February 8, 2015 | Peak: April 12, 2015 Chart run: 35 – 31 – 26 – 20 – 15 – 11 – 5 – 3 – 3 – 2 – 4 – 4 – 6 – 9 – 12 – 16 – 23 – 27 – 29 – 38 – out |
"Pusher" is a song by Canadian DJ and producer Sleepy Tom, whose real name is Cam Tatham, and it features vocals from Anna Lunoe. I found out this track when I was lurking its thread on BuzzJack and it was fantastic when I listened to it for the first time. The production is sick and a totally banger, while Anna's vocals sound great on it. Also, as I mentioned before, it made me to rediscover "Feels Like", a previous collaboration between her and Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs. Anna, her power! This is the only appearance from Sleepy Tom and the last entry from Anna Lunoe. | 17. 21,335 | Axwell Λ Ingrosso – "Sun Is Shining" Peak: #2 | Weeks on chart: 18 | Certification: 2x Platinum Entry: June 21, 2015 | Peak: July 5, 2015 Chart run: 25 – 4 – 2 – 2 – 2 – 4 – 5 – 7 – 8 – 12 – 10 – 10 – 13 – 16 – 21 – 24 – 30 – 37 – out |
"Sun Is Shining" is a track by Swedish DJs and producers Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso, formerly members of Swedish House Mafia, along Steve Angello and it's a progressive house song, which features uncredited vocals from Salem Al Fakir and Vincent Pontare. I think this track came out of nowhere, despite I enjoy Axwell and Ingrosso's stuff. I mean, "Can't Hold Us Down" was amazing and I got into "On My Way", but the same didn't happen to "Something New", which is my least favourite track from them. That said, I don't know Regarding the song, I think the term anthemic is the right one. The progressive house production is nice and it's complemented with Salem Al Fakir and Vincent Pontare's vocals, which lends into a powerful and huge drop with mind-blowing melodies that coexist throughout it. I wish this would have been Axwell and Ingrosso's breakout hit in the US, but it had everything to be successful there, but it didn't happen. You know you don't have any taste, US radio stations, right? >:( This is Axwell and Ingrosso's last appearance. | 16. 21,820 | Foxes – "Body Talk" Peak: #1 | Weeks on chart: 21 | Certification: 2x Platinum Entry: June 7, 2015 | Peak: August 2, 2015 Chart run: 38 – 32 – 32 – 26 – 17 – 10 – 4 – 3 – 1 – 2 – 4 – 4 – 7 – 9 – 11 – 15 – 17 – 22 – 26 – 30 – 38 – out |
"Body Talk" was released as the lead single from Foxes' upcoming second album All I Need due out next month and it's a synthpop track. Foxes is one of my favourite artists, so I was waiting for something new from her and I was glad it happened last year when she made the announcement that a new single from her was coming out. Regarding this track, I love the the 80's vibes that the song has on its production, along the synths. Also, Foxes' voice sounds really well and the chorus is so good, being my favourite part how it (sort of) explodes. This is the last entry from Foxes.

This is the following set.
| 15. 21,832 | Tame Impala – "Let It Happen" Peak: #1 | Weeks on chart: 21 (still charting) | Certification: 2x Platinum Entry: August 9, 2015 | Peak: November 1, 2015 Chart run: 40 – 37 – 32 – 30 – 24 – 19 – 14 – 11 – 4 – 4 – 4 – 2 – 1 – 3 – 8 – 12 – 17 – 17 – 18 – 22 – 25 – (...) |
"Let It Happen" Is a track by Australian band Tame Impala, which was released as the lead single from their third album Currents back in July of last year. Honestly, I think I checked out this track really late. I saw it on some weekly charts, like the one of thewebinator, but I didn't bother to listen to it until I entered on its PlayIGA page on Alternative and I fell in love with it. The psychedelic influence is awesome, as well as the synths and the electronica elements throughout the production. Technically, everything about the song is perfect. As a side note, Tame Impala is coming to Peru for the first time to make a concert here and I'm really considering going there. I mean, if I was sold by "Let It Happen" and I also enjoy listening to some of the tracks from Currents, despite I haven't done too many times, as well as their previous stuff, I would definitely going to have a great time, right? This is Tame Impala's only entry. | 14. 22,060 | Madeon f/ Kyan – "You're On" Peak: #1 | Weeks on chart: 24 (3 in 2014 / 21 in 2015) | Certification: 2x Platinum Entry: December 14, 2014 | Peak: February 15, 2015 Chart run: 38 – 35 – 30 – 28 – 27 – 25 – 18 – 9 – 3 – 2 – 1 – 3 – 4 – 5 – 10 – 10 – 13 – 18 – 20 – 23 – 25 – 26 – 32 – 35 – out 2014 peak: #166 |
"You're On" was released as the second single from Madeon's debut album Adventure and it features vocals from Kyan. I remember that everything began when Madeon posted the artwork on Twitter early December of 2014 with the description seven days and I got excited because of new Madeon. At this point, I didn't know who was Kyan and Kurt posted some of his stuff, which I also liked. Teasers later, the track was premiered and I really enjoyed it. As expected, Madeon's nu-disco production is awesome and Kyan's vocals fit perfectly on it. There's still a song left from Madeon and this is the only entry from Kyan. | 13. 22,060 | Klingande f/ Broken Back – "Riva (Restart the Game)" Peak: #1 | Weeks on chart: 19 | Certification: 2x Platinum Entry: March 8, 2015 | Peak: March 22, 2015 Chart run: 2 – 2 – 1 – 2 – 6 – 8 – 8 – 11 – 11 – 15 – 16 – 15 – 13 – 13 – 17 – 20 – 24 – 30 – 38 – out |
"Riva (Restart the Game)" is a song by French DJ and producer Klingande, whose real name is Cédric Steinmyller, and it features vocals from Broken Back. I guess it's not necessary to say that I'm always looking forward to Klingande's stuff since I got into them after Slizzard included "Jubel" on his weekly charts and I loved that track, becoming one of my favourite tracks ever. This song follows the same pattern of Klingande's previous stuff "Punga" and the aforementioned, so I liked it on first listen as expected, despite it wasn't as instant as the other ones. The deep house production with the tropical house elements are really good and the use of harmonica makes it even better. Also, Broken Back's vocals fit on it really well. This is the only appearance from Klingande and Broken Back. | 12. 22,269 | Flume f/ Andrew Wyatt – "Some Minds" Peak: #1 | Weeks on chart: 20 | Certification: 2x Platinum Entry: May 31, 2015 | Peak: June 7, 2015 Chart run: 22 – 1 – 1 – 2 – 2 – 3 – 5 – 8 – 10 – 11 – 11 – 14 – 14 – 17 – 20 – 22 – 29 – 29 – 33 – 39 – out |
"Some Minds" is a track by Australian DJ and producer Flume, whose real name is Harley Streten, and it features vocals from Andrew Wyatt, the lead vocalist of Swedish band Miike Snow. This is the only entry from Flume and Andrew Wyatt. | 11. 22,771 | Taylor Swift – "Wildest Dreams" Peak: #1 | Weeks on chart: 20 (still charting) | Certification: 2x Platinum Entry: August 16, 2015 | Peak: September 27, 2015 Chart run: 35 – 26 – 20 – 13 – 7 – 4 – 2 – 2 – 2 – 3 – 5 – 6 – 10 – 11 – 14 – 18 – 21 – 22 – 26 – 30 – (...) |
"Wildest Dreams" was released as the fifth single from Taylor Swift's fifth album 1989 and it's a ballad with an influence of dream pop. This is the last appearance from Taylor Swift.

I got into "You're On" a bit too late to chart it on my personal chart, but I love it!

Thank you so much! This is the Top 10. :)
| 10. 22,782 | Years & Years – "King" Peak: #1 | Weeks on chart: 22 | Certification: 2x Platinum Entry: February 8, 2015 | Peak: March 8, 2015 Chart run: 27 – 15 – 6 – 2 – 1 – 1 – 3 – 6 – 8 – 9 – 10 – 12 – 17 – 17 – 20 – 23 – 25 – 26 – 27 – 33 – 35 – 38 – out |
"King" was released as the fourth overall single from Years & Years' debut album Communion back in July of last year. If "Desire" was the track that made me to know about them, "King" was the one who made me to become a fan of them. Seriously, the song is amazing and I love everything about it. Even the chorus is so great and upbeat. As I previously mentioned, Olly's vocals suit really well on the synthpop production and it was a shame that US radio stations paid it dust. >:( This is the last entry from Years & Years. | 9. 23,132 | Feder f/ Lyse – "Goodbye" Peak: #1 | Weeks on chart: 19 | Certification: 2x Platinum Entry: April 5, 2015 | Peak: April 19, 2015 Chart run: 9 – 4 – 1 – 1 – 1 – 1 – 3 – 4 – 5 – 8 – 8 – 12 – 15 – 18 – 22 – 25 – 29 – 34 – 38 – out |
"Goodbye" is a track by French DJ and producer Feder, whose real name is Hadrien Federiconi, and it features vocals from Lyse. So, I found out this track on BuzzJack. I don't know why I checked the thread in the first place, but I'm glad I did honestly because this is incredible. The deep house production is so damn good and I love every part of it, including the synths and the trance influences. I think that some people could find this track very stale because it doesn't have the typical drop on it and it goes on and on and on, but I do like songs in that way to be honest. And that's the reason why I prefer the original mix over the radio edit. Oh! And, can we talk about the lyrics? They are awesome (in a sort of way). The lyric 'Are you thinking of me when you f*ck her?' is one of the best and it reminds me of "You Oughta Know" when Alanis Morissette mentions it on her song. Also, both tracks are about an ex, despite the genres are totally different. That said, I love Lyse's vocals and they complement so well with the production. Also, she's talking instead of singing in the track, which makes it better to give the message about it in my opinion. This is the only appearance from Feder and Lyse. | 8. 23,845 | ZHU x AlunaGeorge – "Automatic" Peak: #1 | Weeks on chart: 15 (still charting) | Certification: 2x Platinum Entry: September 20, 2015 | Peak: October 4, 2015 Chart run: 7 – 3 – 1 – 1 – 1 – 1 – 2 – 2 – 2 – 4 – 5 – 6 – 9 – 9 – 10 – (...) |
"Automatic" is a collaboration between ZHU and AlunaGeorge, which was included on the former's second EP Genesis Series and it's expected to be on AlunaGeorge's sophomore album as well. I guess no one saw this coming to be so high. Nor do I. The fact that this song made the Top 10 on my EOY with the amount of total weeks is still impressive and if it's considered that it hasn't left the Top 10 on my weekly chart is even more. Anyway, what can I say about this song? I think that I don't have enough words to praise this track to be honest. The production is one of the best things that I've ever listened to in my entire life and I keep being slayed every time I heard this. That said, ZHU and AlunaGeorge in a track were going to be good, but I wasn't expecting to be so huge. :'( Regarding the song, Aluna Francis and ZHU's vocals work perfectly together on the track, the breakdown is so good and the saxophone in the end is glorious. Gosh! This should have been massive everywhere and I still can't believe that it literally wasn't. >:( This is the only appearance from ZHU and the last one from AlunaGeorge. | 7. 24,113 | Madeon – "Home" Peak: #3 | Weeks on chart: 22 | Certification: 3x Platinum Entry: March 15, 2015 | Peak: April 19, 2015 Chart run: 36 – 19 – 7 – 5 – 5 – 3 – 3 – 3 – 4 – 4 – 6 – 6 – 9 – 10 – 13 – 18 – 22 – 27 – 29 – 32 – 38 – 39 – out |
"Home" is a song by French DJ and producer Madeon, whose real name is Hugo Leclercq, and it's included on his debut album Adventure released in March of last year. Despite I always considered this as an instant grat, this was apparently released as the fourth single from the album. Anyway, I have always praised Madeon's skills and the nu-disco production he does and this isn't the exception. The synths on the production, along the drums and the piano, are really good and the fact that he's singing on a track is even better in my opinion. Also, it should be mentioned that Madeon isn't a singer, but the way he shows vulnerability makes it more credible as well. I remember I saw his Coachella performance on streaming last year and it was awesome. However, one of the key moments was when he left the launchpads and he played the keyboard to sing this track with a microphone that was there. It gave me chills. Maybe, I have a thing with producers singing on their own tracks. Who knows? This is the last appearance from Madeon. | 6. 24,337 | Ellie Goulding – "Love Me Like You Do" Peak: #1 | Weeks on chart: 23 | Certification: 3x Platinum Entry: January 25, 2015 | Peak: February 1, 2015 Chart run: 3 – 1 – 1 – 1 – 4 – 4 – 7 – 9 – 12 – 13 – 13 – 14 – 16 – 16 – 20 – 23 – 23 – 24 – 28 – 30 – 30 – 34 – 39 – out |
"Love Me Like You Do" is a track by Ellie Goulding, which was included in the soundtrack of the film Fifty Shades of Grey, as well as on her third album Delirium. Ellie is one of my current favourite artists and I'm so proud of her at the level of success he has got recently. I mean, who would have thought that this song will smash like that? The song is a mid-tempo pop track with the use of synths and drums throughout the production. Ellie's vocals are really good and it complements so well with it. Personally, I think that this song could be (kind of) stale in the first two verses, but everything changes when the 'what are you waiting for?' in the bridge, before the second chorus, begins and then, it explodes. Obviously, it gets better after each play and I still can't get enough of it. This is Ellie Goulding's last entry.
