Let's be totally honest here, the song is one big pile of cr*p. If it weren't for the hype that this is the new Justin single in years, then this would have gone totally unnoticed.

I love this on first listen and find it refreshing. It's a nice change from all the dance/pop that's infected the radio the past few years. I hope this smashes hard on Pop.

Most comeback singles are nothing but hype but through repeated listens and lots of airtime, once given a chance, people grow to love them.
My first listen to this: I'm not sure I care for it. I know he's feeling it but I don't care for the style of music so it's not him or the song but me. It might grow on me, might not. Jay-Z's rap seemed underwhelming too.
But if this becomes a big hit, we could be in for an era of R&B for sure. I think it's a risk but Justin has the weight to pull it off I think.

The song is exactly what I expected it to sound so I'm not disappointed. I still don't like it tho.

Hmm not sure about this. And if it wasn't for his hiatus, I would consider this song album not single material to be honest. I do appreciate that he isn't trying to go for some generic pop banger hit, that's not him and I knew we wouldn't get that.
But pop would have eaten up anything he dropped but this is pretty forgettable, hope he has better in the tank.
JT has done way better r&b influenced songs before and if he's trying to pull a Beyonce, well the latter imo by the end actually had a pretty good album even if she didnt have her typical pop hits.
Will give him a pass and have they confirmed this as his first single? Cause from that letter he penned, they can pass this as a preview, a song from his upcoming album.

Timbaland and Justin can do way better...please go back to Cry Me A River, that song was a masterpiece.

The intro sounds really sloppy to me (or maybe I just plain don't like it), but I love everything else, even though it's not remotely close to what I was expecting. Still, I'd be somewhat surprised if this ended up being a huge hit at pop radio.

I think it's quite dated, but I think that's a good thing. It really sets it apart and I think once radio latch onto it, they won't let go. Just edit out that intro though, I don't like it at all.

Third listen and it's great. First listen was all kinds of rough though. I'm really feeling the Pharrell production (lol).

Been some time since I've checked the building charts! On CHR/Pop, this got 38 spins on Day 1 (which was just a few hours at the end of the day, as the song was released at like 11:09 PM EST or something), and has 604 spins on Day 2 thus far.

I like it a lot! I agree about it sounding dated though, but it's still good.

Hmmm. Listening to the sample. It's not bad- if you're a fan of retro-sounding tracks, you'll like it.

The intro is awful awful awful.
As for the song itself, it's completely harmless. Also completely forgettable.

You gonna have to show me MORE thangs dude, cause this one aint it.
Radio is gonna eat this mediocre sh*t up. And that is more disappointing than the song itself.

I was expecting sooooooooo much better. This isn't even 1/5th as good as any of the first 5 singles from his last album. I was actually expecting to like this, and not be as annoyed by it as I am. Major let-down!
