It was rough but I've been watching 1990-1996 performances all week so I'm biased.

Hoping we all burn in hell isn't dramatic or anything… Mimi didn't teach hate boo. You need some "I Wish You Well" off of E=MC2 in your life. Word. Find God and get a script for Xanax. New Age Lambs... Why don't you just mind your own business, you hotmess.

Wow so many dramatic, ungrateful fans here! You all act like she's a booze hound. The weather isn't exactly the best for a vocalist. I hope you all burn in hell! Thank you ! I think she did a great job and she looked amazing! You're welcome, Mariah!

Who is this new dramatic drag queen encroaching on my turf?. No honeybooboo we already got Coco for flair and dramatics! [br Who? I don't know them. Must not be important enough to recall.

I like your spunk chile but on this board you gotta keep it cute or they will ban you and send you back to ATRL. You just can be calling ppl hot messes, sending them to hell and triple posting. Personally between U and I none of that bothers me but just giving you a heads up since you're new and I'm a charitable mother of drag looking out for her cubs xoxo god bless.

Wow I missed a lot...I watched both performances on TV...I thought they both sounded good. Then again, I don't sit on youtube and stream the performances on repeat, listening for sour notes. Did she give her best performance ever? No. But I thought it was perfectly fine.

It wasn't the worst performance ever but she really did struggle. Combo of the cold and nerves and whatever else might be a factor. Something about these national performances and her...MJ's funeral, OB's inauguration, this....

I remember when one of the NY's Eve specials played some of the "Auld Lang Syne" video. Ohh, I hope Mimi replicates some of the movements from that video, live.

My god, how many takes is it gonna be for her to complete Auld lang Syne? When she has tried in concert, it's ultra annoying. She truly doesn't know the words. Thank goodness it's not going to be live. I wonder how many gay clubs around the world play her at midnight. She needs to play that up.

I thought Mariah sounded pretty good last night, I don't know what y'all are hearing. She even hit the end note, just cracked towards the end. She seemed a little out of breath and probably nervous to sing for the president, give her a freakin break. She looked STUNNING and sounded just fine (and I thought she sounded GREAT in the beginning).
Can't believe #B got totally snubbed- the Grammy's are such BS these days.

I actually thought we were talking about the Rockefeller one...so the performance at the national tree lighting (I didn't even realize this was happening) was kind of a mess I am gathering?? Do we have a link?

Oh dear, the performance last night was not good at all. Not only was she struggling, but she was off key throughout a lot of it too.
It happens to the best of them, at least it wasn't televised.

Plus her tone wasn't as annoying as the Rockefeller one.

Ok I'm watching now...she does seem winded for some reason...but she's not off key or anything...I guess it's a falsetto note at the end she's gonna flub or something? Ok yes, she had some trouble at the end for some reason...usually she switches gears real fast in that type of scenario...not that terrible tho....

omg that performance. thank god that was not broadcast on tv. I love me some Mariah (and at least she was not lip syncing) but honestly that was one of her worst live vocals that I have ever heard. like others have said it wasn't just bad notes, the entire vocal sounded bad. ive watched a lot of Mariah live performances on youtube... are there any performances that are as bad as this one? hopefully this was just a fluke

Apparently Entertainment Weekly does not love Merry Christmas II U- in the Bullseye from Dec. 6, it has a pic of the first album, with "All we want for Christmas is to listen to this song on repeat," and then an image of the second one, with "All we want for Christmas is to forget that Mariah Carey made a second holiday album." First, it technically should have put a pic of the AIWFCIY single cover, rather than the album. Second, because the first album was so successful and contains the original AIWFCIY, it's tough for MCIIU to compete. I think they literally did that same thing for a Bullseye a year or two ago. I think it's just lazy on their part because, really, MCIIY is a solid collection. I was very apprehensive about her doing another holiday album because the first is legendary, but also because 2010 wasn't exactly a prime time for Mariah. It came out great, though, especially the originals. It also has a different feel than the first one due to the orchestra and her different singing style (i.e. it wasn't a copy of her first one). EW saying that is just a cheap shot; I bet the people who did that haven't even listened to MCIIY, and certainly not recently.

Am I the only one who didn't think the performance was that bad? I thought she sounded great in the beginning, and though she hit a bad note toward the end and was out of breath, I didn't think it was an embarrassment. The "#Beautiful" performance at GMA sounded worse to me. I thought it was solid overall; it was just the run toward the end that was bad. Haters just like to be dramatic, as we saw with reactions to Carrie in TSOM. She seemed winded because she was rushed out on stage. People said they heard her saying she wasn't ready. She played catch up from that moment on.

Maybe it's because I'm not a huge fan of hers and thus haven't seen many of her past performances, or because I'm just used to mediocre live performances from the likes of Katy Perry, Rihanna, Taylor Swift, etc., but I think all of Mariah's recent performances have been pretty damn good. I particularly enjoyed her performance at the Rockefeller tree lighting.

Damn. She is seriously shading me. First she performed at Rockefeller one day before I got to NYC, now she's performing a day after I leave NYC. I'm literally seating at the airport ready to head back to Miami. :/ Anyhow girls, I have an announcement to make: I GOT MARRIED here in NYC!!!!
