I'm so over people comparing every Mariah song to "WBT." Apart from the general theme of longing for a past lover, the new song is nothing like "WBT." The melodies aren't similar, the beats are different, the song structure is different, and the production layers are different. Let it go!

^It had a stronger week-to-week performance, I guess. Also- "Dreamlover" was in the BDS/SoundScan era, so VOL and LTT are weighted to account for the overall shorter chart runs before then. "VOL" had more weeks at #1, more weeks in the top 40, and I think more weeks in the top 10. I'd need to double check. So, it does surprise me "LTT" is listed higher here. Wasn't "VOL" in that all-time chart thing Billboard did, while "LTT" was not? That would show Billboard is inconsistent within itself. |

Is she playing off Adam and Eve vibes for the video? I swear my mind went there with the shots I am seeing. I love the color scheme for the video. Dear IDJ and iTunes, I am going to need you to get organized and stop messing up when Mariah releases a single. It isn't that hard to get it right. I think the concept of the video is related to her saving the rain forest. |

Oh yeah, I read somewhere that this was supposed to be tied into a save the rain forest campaign. I am not sure how well that concept will play out in a video, but hey who knows.

(Weeks) Vision Of Love Hot 100: 22 Top 40: 17 Top 20: 12 Top 10: 7 Top 5: 6 #1 : 4 Love Takes Time Hot 100: 26 Top 40: 18 Top 20: 14 Top 10: 7 Top 5: 7 #1 : 3 None of these two made the All-Time charts. |

This song has really grown on me and I actually really like the remix. I may prefer it, but not quite sure. I like Trey's rap at the end better than his parts in the rest of the song, but yeah, I have liked everything Mariah has done in or around this project. This song is better than We Belong Together, btw. #Beautiful still tops this but I may push TAOLG below this now.
