^ Agreed, I didn't see Jason as being argumentative either, He was simply wanting to know why and how that rule came into fruition. How is that unreasonable?

i think the song is decent, nothing incredble but possibly a grower. However does anyone else feel that the last note is kinda pointless as its obviously studio creation/ magic and there is no way that she is going to be able to do it live. Thoughts ?

I have the raw vocal...the last note is definitely one take. There's a tiny bit of melodyne on the lead like "Touch My Body," but only for effect. There's also a reverb with a longer delay than usual, so it sounds more like an echo than a vocal double.

I don't think not being able to replicate something live makes it pointless, but I do think the ending is odd. To me it's because there is no build to the end. I don't like the remix in general, but I do like the sped-up part toward the end when Trey and Mariah are singing because I think it leads into the actual end better. I think the album version needs a bridge or something before the very last chorus. |

people making multiple posts in a row 'buries' the posts before it faster, thus making it more likely that people might miss something if they don't have time to go through every new post since the last time they visited the thread. this is especially a problem if it's a quickly moving thread (which this one sort of is now that there is a new single and press/promo to discuss). there are a couple of other rules in place for the same reason; it just doesn't make for efficient reading. and i will admit that if i see someone has posted three or more times in a row i often end up skipping the last post(s), b/c i assume that whatever came at the end must have been more of an afterthought than something you felt was important enough to mention the first time you posted. that ironically ends up defeating your probable purpose of breaking your thoughts up into separate posts. i think several people are like that; they're more likely to read one longer one all the way through. and then there's the fact that if a thread is active it's simple enough to just wait a few minutes for someone else to post, and then make another one so that yours aren't consecutive. double posting isn't a big deal if a thread is moving slowly and there is some time between the posts (or if a personal charts or games thread, due to the nature of those forum sections), but that wasn't the case here. i was staff once and i always presumed that reasoning was why that rule was in place so hopefully you find this response at least somewhat answers your question. as to your previous comment (whether it's better to have a 4-page single post) that's not even possible because proboards determines when a new page starts by the number of posts per page (30), not by the length of the page; and every post has a 60,000 character limit. even i have never come close to reaching it and goodness knows i'm wordy. i don't think i've ever typed or seen a post on here that required more than 1 full scroll down to finish, but then i've never read any thread on a mobile device either, so i don't know how longer posts look there. |

She was so funny on the Breakfast Club. I was glad that she didn't come off as too uppity for them and also that Charlamagne didn't let his friendship with Nicki stop him from treating Mimi like the legend she is.
Also laughing at her randomly asking for congratulations that she gave birth to twins like she was the first person to ever do it and her saying that she'd never heard Drunk in Love. I wonder if she even knows that Bey released an album out of the blue...

Trey's parts don't match at all with Mariah's. But I like that she is sprinkled in glitter, has a butterfly on her back, and is in a setting that is very reminiscent of the artwork from the Can't Take That Away single cover. |

Lol@ the rain forest... There's nothing unique about the video that showcases the rain forest... I mean it's filmed at night and you can't even tell that she's in a rain forest.. Lol .. It's a nice video but seems cheap... No real story line to it... WBT Video is miles better...

I set my expectations low and...they were met, LOL. Mariah has never been a Video Artist so I don't know why I even get excited for these things. I see she brought back the Shoo Fly movie from #Beautiful...this time, she was randomly splashing water. |
