That video ! I could have maybe got it if she was playing the role of photographer, and they broke up interwoven with shots of her in Puerto Rico. Definitely looks like it is implied that Trey stroked one out to her memory  ! At least she looks pretty !

The video is beautiful, I wish there could have been a little bit more to tie the plot together. Like they could've made it so that Trey played a model who shoots in this island and falls in love with a local (or fairy or whatever) and that's the love she's singing about. But I think she said his schedule didn't allow him to fly out to Puerto Rico.

I don't know guys, I didn't see that sexed up image you guys are talking about (like #Beautiful for example, which turned me off). This vid felt more like she was vulnerable, yes there were some awkward moments but what Mariah vid doesn't?
Also, since when does a vid need to have a story line? I didn't know that was a requirement.

I mean I was fine with the video, but she probably should have just left Trey out of the original and just featured him in the remix.  The scene that made it look like he beat off though, awkward lol.

I agree. So many of her videos in the past 5 years have been completely cringeworthy ("H.A.T.E.U." and "#Beautiful" especially). I didn't feel embarrassed watching her in this one though, because she was showing skin but it was tasteful.

The song is declining on iTunes now. Same thing happened with "#Beautiful". It declined after the video release instead of increasing.

Her best video in quite sometime. Love the underwater shots. She does them like no other. She looks beautiful! And I enjoy looking at Trey's body in the video way more than listening to his vocals on that remix.

I don't think the video's hurting the song's downloads, but I would have hoped it would have at the very least helped it to stabilize.

The reviews are coming in, and they're not that great so far. Certainly not the kind of response "#Beautiful" got.

Mariah Carey has let go yet another pre-release single (this is number four by our count) from her perpetually delayed 14th studio album, formerly titled The Art of Letting Go, just in time for Valentine's Day. The aptly titled "You're Mine (Eternal)" is, with the possible exception of 2011's "Triumphant (Get 'Em)," the most derivative offering from the album to date. With a plodding beat and boilerplate lyrics ("I can't seem to live without your love," it starts), the midtempo ballad is another retread of "We Belong Together," a disappointing move following the retro soul stylings of the hit "#Beautiful" and "The Art of Letting Go," released last November. Mimi still appears to be in fine voice, at least in the studio, but that there's not much else to be said about "You're Mine," produced by Rodney Jerkins, is a testament to its utter triviality.
