I'm not sure who I would want him in the studio with rn but he needs to be going on Iyanla's Fix My Life before he steps foot in anybody's recording booth tbh. I need him to be focused on on damage control above all else.

Aslong as he isn't in the studio with those people from his last couple of albums I'm good. However he needs to get ahead of his herpes crisis before he makes new music. Unless he wants to title his album "Herpes"because that is all that promotional tour will be about . The subject will be that not music. |

The blind specified it was a guy so it couldn't have been referring to Ciara. In retrospect the timing lines up because the bi rumors began heating up and then out of nowhere he went public with Tameka. I was thinking about the 'advice' I gave him a couple of pages ago (when it was just a leaked lawsuit, and not multiple new lawsuits) and with s**t hitting the fan now obviously I must amend. I still think he should stay silent on the matter for now - not because it will go away but because there's really nothing for him to say at this point; any denial would be a lie and confirmation is just inviting people to talk about it more. He does however need to contact Lisa Bloom and cut some kind of style settlement deal where he puts aside a set amount of money and anyone who wants to file a claim can do so by a certain date and take their cut from that pile of money. That he has been with so many people that he needs to class-action his way about it is embarrassing, but if he does not do this all the separate lawsuits are going to bleed him dry. This is the best way to put a cap on his losses. Then he needs to let Iyanla (or somebody, anybody with a license) fix his life, and convince the world that all of this is the result of unresolved issues that need extensive therapy and not the consequences of a sociopathic asshole who purposely infected people with an STD. I would even say, instead of doing only one episode he should make a one-season series out of this. 13 episodes of watching Usher trying to regain control of his career, attend sex ed classes, and still maintain some sense of normalcy for the two sons he's raising as he makes amends for his wrongs. This will humble and humanize him in the public eye. Then, and only then, should he release any new music (which he will have conveniently featured in bits and pieces throughout his show). At this point there is absolutely no way he will ever be able to release new music or do an interview without this topic coming up, but this way he'd be on the offensive, not the defensive which is what I want to avoid at all costs. If he can keep the topic on his terms he'll likely handle it better. Oh, and I have concluded that he should work with Diplo again. It's not even that JD and BMC can't give him something good, it's that JD and BMC probably can't give him something that doesn't remind people of 2004. Climax OTOH was just five years ago, and still sounds ahead of its time. Usher will do much better to remind people of his recent hitmaking abilities than old commercial highs that he's never going to reach again. Mind you, this plan only works if he is actually just a guy with a bunch of unresolved issues that need extensive therapy. If he really is a sociopathic asshole there's not much I can do for him except shrug and hold on to the memories that My Way gave me. |

Man this would hurt me if it were 2004. I stopped messing with Usher back in 2006ish when he came off like a homophobe in some magazine article talking about some, "Nobody in his crew rolls like that" when asked about gay rumors. He was cancelled then and I was a big fan. I even went to his concert and sat front row. My old post is hilarious now. No one in your crew rolls like that, Usher? lol. If he is indeed bisexual and the man has proof that they slept together, Usher should go on his good girlfriend Ellen's show and confess that he is indeed bi. He really has nothing to lose because his glory days have been behind him for quite sometime. I mean, his last album sold 30,000 copies... He'll lose some fans, but I think going on Ellen to reveal his truth will make people sympathize with him. And who knows, it could revitalize his fanbase a little and stop the biphobia that black men face. |
