There is now a theory being floated that this might actually be Usher's PR move to distract everybody from the original suit that leaked and discredit any other potential suits. Which doesn't necessarily conflict with me cackling at the thought of Lisa Bloom's opportunistic ass getting majorly scammed by the wrong 'victim.'
This is still a huge mess and I need Usher's PR team to do better.

I'm honesty shocked that Lisa Bloom would accept a case that's this transparent. Does she know something we don't? Why would she compromise her brand and fly across the country for a press conference if the facts are this easy to pick apart?

Yeah, I'm not surprised at all at the money grab, I'm just shocked at Bloom's lack of vetting, since the whole point of money grabs is to embarrass a celeb into settling to make it go away. Conspiracy theories abound and it's nothing short of a chaotic mess, yet somehow that only works in Usher's favor b/c now any accuser who comes forth will be met with skepticism at best and outright ridicule at worst.

BTW, I thought herpes is only a minor virus and causes nearly zero health damage. Why is his insurance company so panicked over this?

Maybe he is, maybe he isn't. We don't know. The public was just so thirsty for gossip that we basically turned it into a fact the second "John Doe" appeared on that document last week. We should definitely have our doubts now. That said, if he in fact is bi, I can't imagine there'd be major backlash just because he's bi. Any backlash would be because people feel misled. For instance, no one cared that Brandy wasn't married. They dragged her because she put on a charade and intentionally fooled her fans. Now I'm not saying that Usher owes it to anyone to disclose his sexuality, but so much of his marketing and branding relies heavily on him being girl crazy and 110% straight as a nail. |
