Bump! :) (also known as: How much time do I have to wait to see "Work Bitch" atop?) I'm this obvious? | Codex Top 40 | 09/23/13 |
Dark Horse debuts at #4 with 39 points, that's more than Roar (although with 6 days Roar would have gotten around ~48 first week), and I'm pretty sure this makes it the strongest #4 debut. The top of the chart is incredibly competitive right now, the top 8 are all stronger than the #1 of 06/24/13. | Lana Del Rey... With the debut of Ride, Dark Paradise and National Anthem, she has 8 charting songs. There are 3 more around #30, but I decided to not let those chart. Ellie Goulding also occupied 8 spots on the 09/02/13 chart. In the past month, she has gotten around 300 plays!
Wake Me Up falls all the way from 10 to 25 this week, I haven't looked into it, but I'm pretty sure that's a record or something.
Talk Dirty debuts at #10 and I already hate it. | |

Bump! :) (also known as: How much time do I have to wait to see "Work Bitch" atop?) I'm this obvious? Well... if "Scream & Shout" was a hit on your chart solely because of Britney, "Work Bitch" needs to surpassed it and smash! Also, I think the right term should be predictable. Expecting someone to put that Delta Goodrem video.
Work Bitch es jumps to the top after debuting at #4 last week with 30 points after just 12 hours of plays. With 63 points, it grabs the third highest point total of the year after Applause with 68 and Scream & Shout with 69. • The bold part answers my previous question. • YES!!! "Work Bitch" is atop! As a consequence, you, Julian (Drag) and I had it atop for that week :) BTW, I can tolerate that "Applause" got higher points in a week than "Work Bitch", but "Scream & Shout" surpassed both of them? Britney's power, I guess Dark Horse debuts at #4 with 39 points, that's more than Roar (although with 6 days Roar would have gotten around ~48 first week), and I'm pretty sure this makes it the strongest #4 debut. Good for "Dark Horse" :) New Certifications:7x Platinum Britney Spears - Scream & Shout Oh! The shade to will.i.am. I can't that you choose this Britney's .gif for her first week atop Anyway, I can't stop laughing at it Additional comments:• Good to see "Berzerk" is still in the Top 10. • Nice jumps of "Stay the Night" and "Sail". • Sad "Another Love" falls and "Instant Crush" is gone. PS. Could you get rid off your avatar, please? It's so annoying to see Miley's tongue

PS. Could you get rid off your avatar, please? It's so annoying to see Miley's tongue Not solely because of Britney. Will.i.am is a smash on my chart too. Fall Down did good too (though I guess that's cause of Miley... ) and #thatPOWER almost went top 10. Bang Bang... charted...! This Is Love was a smash though last year. It might Yeah when I was reading it after posting I thought about switching it to predictable, but I didn't want to edit #lazydex Oh btw I saw you posted, but I didn't want to give away that it was #1 My last 3-4 charts have been late because I haven't had time on Mondays to do it because that's when I have the most classes. When you posted I was actually working on it but I didn't post it till the following day cause I had to go study before I could finish it. What makes you think 63 points will be Work Bitch's peak? It's only its second week after all, basically just the first 8 days. ;) I hope Walking On Air is just as good as Dark Horse. and that it doesn't have a crappy rap... Oh right, he's on it too. :kii: I think it fits well, with her looking around and stuff. Another Love did/is doing pretty well imo for a ballad. Those usually flop for me, though lately I've had a lot of slow songs chart. I mean, half of them were Lana but still. New avi :'( Idk what to change it to so I'll just use this for a bit more. I need to check your chart out more, it's great. I love to see the Lana and Ellie love. I enjoy your whole top seven and most of the rest of your chart. :) thank you! • Good top 2! • "Wake Me Up", "Royals", "Summertime Sadness", "You, My Everything", "Tessellate" are in the Top 10. • Really like the slayage of Ellie Goulding in your chart. • "Another Love" falls • "White Walls" climb. • Expecting to see the debut of "Work Bitch" on your next update :) Halcyon Days :'( It's one of those albums where you can listen to it from start to finish without skipping a track. Liking the image of Miley riding a big ball. Does she try too hard? Katy & Gaga hot on her trials. Like that Carmen is in the top 10 along with a huge jump of Berzark. I’m liking these Lana Del Rey songs on here. Ehh on Stay The Night. Those Daft Punk songs are amazing. Sail is finally here along with a return of Locked out of Heaven. Interesting. Like the mix of music here in this good chart. Ohai Thank you! • "Work Bitch" debuts at #4 with only a day (?) of being available!!! I <3 U Britney is going to slay your chart (again and without will.i.am this time) :'( #smashney • "Applause", "Roar", "Royals", "You, My Everything", "Berzerk" and "Wake Me Up" are in the Top 10 as well. • Nice rebound of "Another Love". Hope a Top 10 is coming for Tom Odell. • "Stay the Night" and "Sail" debut too :) • Still loving the Ellie Goulding and Daft Punk dominance. • Good to see "Language" there. • Not here for the re-enter of "Locked Out of Heaven" though~ Yes, I first heard it at noon my time on Sunday, and the chart closes at midnight. I can't at every chart missing a #1 debut due to leaking/coming out on Saturday/Sunday It happened to Roar, Wrecking Ball, and now Work Bitch. I thought at least one of the new big diva releases would be a #1 debut, but even Applause which had a full week got blocked in its first week because of Roar :X lmao. So I still have no #1 debut after 9 months despite my chart being super frontloaded... I'm kind of proud ngl. Another chart that features Gaga. Well this one has her live for da #1. Love that Katy and Avicii are right behind her. This is excellent. I like both versions of Summertime Sadness. Lorde is coming to rule and nice that Janelle is in the top 10. Must check out those Ellie songs. The best debut of the week goes to Eminem going Berzark on this ape sh!t and having the Beastie Boys Berzark Gene. Like that Get Lucky was a 6-time #1 song, but I’m sad that Blurred Lines couldn’t at least been one. Loving the Daft Punk songs on here. This is a solid chart you have here. Yeah Applause is pretty popular, for a good reason though! Yeah sadly Blurred Lines missed it :( It spent 3 weeks at #2, one of those was only 4 points behind Get Lucky. It looked set to take it, but then Get Lucky got a second wind and then Selena came and it started falling. </3 I'm glad you like my chart :) Nice #1! I'm really digging the Ellie love though I'm shocked that Burn had such a short run. #1 twins 9 weeks isn't bad for a #8 peaking song imo, the week it fell out there were only 4 songs with 10+ weeks charting. "Familiar top 3" Queens Ellie and Lana slaying! :'( 3 weeks at the top is great for "Applause"! lol'd at "Die Young" randomly charting for weeks and shame on you for that #3 peak. Our top 5's are always so similar Not as good as yours, but it has a lot of tough competition. During the summer it would be at 6 weeks right now Die Young only charted at #3 because my chart started in January. It would have spent a lot of weeks at #1 in 2012, considering it was my #3 song of the year in just 3 months.

| Codex Top 40 | 09/30/13 | Britney works a second week at number one, with 70 points, breaking her previous record for most points in a single week when Scream & Shout had 69 points at its peak combined with the remix. Applause held the record for most points in a single week for a single version when Applause had 68 points a couple weeks ago, Work Bitch breaks that too. On the topic of Applause, it's obliterating the competition. It's already at 369 YTD points and it got 39 this week; compared to Roar, which falls out of the top 10 after 7 weeks.
| Despite that, Dark Horse stays at #4 far ahead of #5. Walking On Air is also looking to debut high next week. Ride by Lana Del Rey climbs 13-10. She is now charting with 3 songs in the top 10. She debuts with 2 more songs in the top 40, bringing her to 10 charting songs. I didn't let them chart last week, but a bunch of Ellie songs fell out this week so there's more room now. Glassheart re-enters... It and Die Young are going recurrent next week.
| New Singles:
• Mike Will Made-It - 23 (feat. Miley Cyrus, Wiz Khalifa & Juicy J) New Certifications:• Miley Cyrus - We Can't Stop 4x Platinum • Katy Perry - Roar 3x Platinum
I haven't decided how I'm going to do this section yet. But I thought I'd mention those 2 since they passed a high mark. |

OMG! There are so much to comment, so expect a long post so I decided to use the spoiler too {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler} Not solely because of Britney. Will.i.am is a smash on my chart too. Fall Down did good too (though I guess that's cause of Miley... ) and #thatPOWER almost went top 10. Bang Bang... charted...! This Is Love was a smash though last year. It might I like shading will.i.am . I don't know why. Good to see so many songs from him that have done so great, but "This Is Love" slays all of them (even "Scream & Shout"). Yeah when I was reading it after posting I thought about switching it to predictable, but I didn't want to edit #lazydex Oh btw I saw you posted, but I didn't want to give away that it was #1 What makes you think 63 points will be Work Bitch's peak? It's only its second week after all, basically just the first 8 days. ;) We're talking about Britney, so she needs to break all the records in the first week! I hope Walking On Air is just as good as Dark Horse. and that it doesn't have a crappy rap... Well, I prefer "Dark Horse". I don't know, but "Walking On Air" kind of reminds me like a track of Born This Way and I didn't like so much that album, so... I think it fits well, with her looking around and stuff. Yeah! Another Love did/is doing pretty well imo for a ballad. Those usually flop for me, though lately I've had a lot of slow songs chart. I mean, half of them were Lana but still. Oh! This usually happens to me too. I like ballads and mid-tempos, but only few have success and "Another Love" stuck so hard on me. Anyway, great to see it did good on your chart. Regarding Lana, I'm not so into her, so that's the reason I prefer the Cedric Gervais Remix of "Summertime Sadness". Sorry :( (I think I already wrote about it, but I'm not sure). New avi :'( Idk what to change it to so I'll just use this for a bit more. Oh! It's nothing wrong with it, but there are so many photos of her with her tongue out that it drives me crazy every time I see one. Hope you could understand Halcyon Days :'( It's one of those albums where you can listen to it from start to finish without skipping a track. That's so true. It's so amazing :'( Yes, I first heard it at noon my time on Sunday, and the chart closes at midnight. Poor "Applause" Hope you could have a #1 debut soon and it could be from Britney
Britney works a second week at number one, with 70 points, breaking her previous record for most points in a single week when Scream & Shout had 69 points at its peak combined with the remix. Applause held the record for most points in a single week for a single version when Applause had 68 points a couple weeks ago, Work Bitch breaks that too. YES! Queen Britney breaking records (after its debut) :'( None of our faves could never YES! The song that should have been released as a single and to be the lead US single, but Leona thought it was too perfect for radio, so she prefer to let it be as an album track :'( It and Die Young are going recurrent next week. Oh! Perfect .gif Looking forward for the next one Additional comments:• Britney is still atop! • "Stay the Night" slips a spot • Nice debut of "You Make Me". • "Sail" is still on your chart.

| Codex Top 40 | 10/07/13 | • Britney released the flawless Work Bitch video the week Work Bitch would have peaked, and the video is perfect. It managed to push Work Bitch up another 15 points, further extending her lead for strongest #1 this year. The difference between #1 and #2 is bigger than most #1s this year (idk the previous record, but I'm sure this broke it)
• Katy earns her second and third top 3 hit from PRISM this week, as Walking On Air debuts at #2 and Dark Horse climbs up to #3.
| • Roar on the other hand gets lost in the shuffle and falls 12-29 in its 9th week. • Lana Del Rey debuts with 3 more songs, while the previous 10 entries stay strong... This is easily my favourite album of the year. dfg • Bangerz debuts its first batch of songs; SMS and FU at #20 and #21. Including them and the 3 singles, Miley is charting with 5 songs. • My chart is very diva heavy right now with all the releases, the top 10 alone features multiple entries from Lana, Miley and Katy. (and Juicy J, lol)
| • this column is pointless
• hm... Get Lucky is doing well, it's at 24 weeks, 2 weeks away from the record. It'll probably tie is. We Can't Stop is also having good longevity, 18 weeks and almost back in the top 20.
• I wonder how long Work Bitch will stay on top, it's already at 3 weeks and is eons above the competition. Maybe she'll replace herself when single#2 comes :

Britney released the flawless Work Bitch video the week Work Bitch would have peaked, and the video is perfect. It managed to push Work Bitch up another 15 points, further extending her lead for strongest #1 this year. The difference between #1 and #2 is bigger than most #1s this year (idk the previous record, but I'm sure this broke it) YES! Queen Britney is breaking her own records. Only she could do this :'( Katy earns her second and third top 3 hit from PRISM this week, as Walking On Air debuts at #2 and Dark Horse climbs up to #3. Good for Katy, despite "Roar" keeps falling. BTW, "Dark Horse" >>> "Walking On Air" hm... Get Lucky is doing well, it's at 24 weeks, 2 weeks away from the record. It'll probably tie is. Get that longevity, Daft Punk! :) I wonder how long Work Bitch will stay on top, it's already at 3 weeks and is eons above the competition. Maybe she'll replace herself when single#2 comes : I think this is a possibility that could happen. Danceney! :) Additional comments:• Nice jump of "You Make Me". • Good to see "Stay the Night" and "Berzerk" in the Top 10. • Great re-entry of "Acapella".

| Codex Top 40 | 10/21/13 | Britney stays at #1 for a fifth week. Last week she gained another point reaching 86 (breaking every record again), but she falls for the first time this week, down to 75 points. Still a 127% lead on #2 though, more than last week actually (126%). | Katy debuts in the top 5 again... This Is How We Do debuts at #4, as of now she has a #1, #2, #3 and #4 peaking song from the album :P TIHWD will probably climb to #2/3 next week, depending on how Gaga's new song does. | Get Lucky officially reaches 26 weeks, being my longest charting song this year, tied with I Love It and Scream and Shout. It could easily get 30+ weeks and run away with the record, since it is still more than 2x as much as the #40 song in terms of points. |

• So great to see "Work Bitch" five weeks atop! Perfect .gif (and gap) as well. • "You Make Me" holds in the Top 20. • Good to see "Get Lucky" as your longest chart song. • Where's your 10/14 chart though?

I'm only going to post every second week from now on~ or just randomly, but I'll try at least every second. My chart is pretty... well... 3-4-5 albums take up almost everything. I need more variety, I'll look for some singles if I have time. Rough chart here cause I don't feel like formating and stuff. Quick note though: Do What U Want debuted with 53 points which is a record, it had a full week. (Previous record was Applause and Almost Home, both of which also had full weeks). Work Bitch would have debuted higher had it been released on Monday and not Sunday afternoon. {11/04 Chart} TW | LW | WO | Song - Artist | HP | TW | LW | Pts | 01 | 02 | 02 | Do What U Want (feat. R. I'm only going to post every second week from now on~ or just randomly, but I'll try at least every second. :( My chart is pretty... well... 3-4-5 albums take up almost everything. Shameless promo.
• Great Top 2! "Work Bitch" is getting closer (on points) to "Get Lucky" • Nice debut (?) of "If I Lose Myself" :o • "G.U.Y." and "Venus" also enter. • "You Make Me" falls, but "Royals" rebounds. PS. I really <3 your avatar and your signatures (the previous one and this).

| Codex Top 40 | 12/30/13 | Considering this is the last week of the year, I thought I'd post it, even though it's more of a mess than the weeks I've been avoiding posting. Ever since my senior year started I've barely downloaded singles, mostly just albums. It's a lot easier to download an album and get 16 good songs, than search for 5 good singles which you get bored of in a week. Due to this, the benchmark for album tracks to chart is down at like #55 instead of the usual 20-25, so even the bottom 20 are filled with Britney tracks, lmao. So, since I haven't posted the past 9 charts, I'll try to sum it up. Work Bitch spent a 6th week at number 1, then came Do What U Want for 5 weeks, and then Alien for 4. Do What U Want broke the record for highest debut (due to having a full week), Tik Tik Boom and Perfume both missed number 1 by like half a point (both blocked by Alien). Work Bitch is shitting on everything, this type of domination
| hasn't been seen since We Found Love/Where Have You Been (it appears I love songs starting with "W"). Although it hasn't spent 14 weeks at number one like We Found Love, it's spending its 16th consecutive week in the top 10, back in the top 3 again (4-1-1-1-1-1-1-2-4-7-9-7-6-5-6-3). That's the highest week count for any song in the top 3 this year, Selena had that record previously when Come & Get It spent its 12th week at number 2. Selena started out slow though, the record for most weeks in the top 10 before Work Bitch was Scream and Shout with 11 weeks (though it came out more than a month before my first chart week) Timber has had a pretty impressive run aswell, despite peaking at #3, it's spent its entire chart run in the top 12 so far. Perfume until now spent its entire run in the top 3 (2-2-2-3-3-3-3)
| The ARTPOP album tracks did very well, 5 top 10 album tracks + the 2 singles which were both strong number 1's. Get Lucky fell out after 31 weeks, which makes it the longest charting song of the year. Will it be number one on my year end chart? You'll find out soon! Actually I'm not sure if I'll even post one since I don't have a lot of time to spend on commentary and formatting again, if I do then only the top 20 at most will have commentary. The next number one seems to be between Work Bitch and Drunk in Love, unless I discover something amazing in the next week. Probably won't. Hopefully I do though because ever since We Can't Stop, all my number ones have been either Miley, Gaga or Britney, bar Roar's 1 week at number 1...

Wow, you really seem to like Britney Jean a lot. I'm glad to see that "Do What U Want" was a five week chart topper. :)

YES!!! Britney Spears slayage :'( Amazing to see 7 of Britney Jean tracks inside the Top 10 and "Alien" being atop! Besides all the Britney songs, glad "Push Play" debuts.

| Codex Top 40 | 01/06/14 | First chart of the new year, meaning a lot of the biggest hits of the 2013 got small boosts. Well, except for Work Bitch which got another 8 points, pushing it back to number 1, blocking Beyoncé. With this, she extends her record for longest running top 10, ties We Can't Stop for longest running number 1, and has the highest week count for a song at the number one position. I'm not 100% sure but probably the highest for any song in my top 10 itself too. | Drunk in Love and Blow continue climbing, last era Run The World was Beyoncé's biggest hit, her 2 current top 5's appear to be even more successful. Timber re-enters the top 5, it's becoming one of the biggest hits of the year with its longevity. There's a huge gap after number 6, with the positions above and below it being close to eachother. 5 songs debut, 2 country; Mama's Broken Heart and That's My Kinda Night, both top 12. It's the first entry for both artists. | For Rebecca Black, Saturday is her second entry after 2011's smash, Friday. Dance Apocalyptic has been rising for weeks thanks to The Electric Lady, it re-enters the top 10 this week. 2 Demi Lovato tracks debut from 1 day of plays, there might be another next week after a full week. Infected Mushrooms enters the top 20, yay. The Britney songs are starting to plummet, so maybe there'll be some variety soon. Maybe. |

| Codex Top 40 | 03/24/14 | This still exists!...just you know. #lazydex. Anyway, the week after I posted Work Bitch's 7th week at number 1, Ready For The Weekend became my first number debut, spending 3 weeks at number 1. After that, Can't Remember to Forget You spent 5 huge weeks at the top, then the snow queen came out of nowhere, spending 3 weeks so far at the top. She currently has 82 points, which is by far the second biggest week, barely behind Work Bitch's biggest week. Speaking of Work Bitch, it ended up spending 21 weeks in the top 10,
| plus it's been #11 for 3 weeks now after getting another wind: (4-1-1-1-1-1-1-2-4-7-9-7-6-5-6-3-1-2-2-5-7-12-23-23-16-11-11-11) It'll probably break the overall longevity record without leaving the top 20. Yawn. Drunk In Love was about to fall off the chart, when the Diplo remix gave it new life, peaking even stronger than the first time: (13-5-4-2-3-6-9-17-38-18-2-2-3-2-2). Dark Horse is falling now but it had a very nice second run after being announced as a single, almost repeaking with the video. (04-04-03-05-06-08-17-out-30-12-14-13-13-11-14-11-8-10-4-6-10-15-20) | Lorde's album, Pure Heroine dominated for most of the time that wasn't posted. 12 of the songs peaked in the top 15... Causing me to change my album track rule (again lol) so if it's above top 15 then it will chart for those weeks at least, but if it falls below then I'll try to filter out the less deserving ones, I don't want anymore full albums owning my chart. Hm.. G.U.Y. just got a big boost from its video, re-entering the top 5: (15-5-5-6-11-12-15-22-38-out-25-27-29-out-5), it's on track to be another big single for her. That should be enough commentary to look pretty, enjoy! |

Oh also I just noticed that this is my first full year of posting my chart on Pulse. I think I posted all of the first 26 weeks, and then like 5 of the next 26 :'D ..."Mama's Broken Heart"? Weird to see country on my chart, or just old? yasssssssssss drunk inlove You can keep yaaaasing 11 weeks later <3 - Work Bitch's slayage, "Drunk In Love" #2! - "Blow", "Timber", "Tik Tik Boom"! - "Neon Lights" debuts! - "Partition" down Top2 spots :( - "Pretty Hurts" :( But so much Beyoncé!! The 3 Beyoncé songs still charting <3 Neon Lights fell out a few weeks ago, but it did really well, tieing Heart Attack's peak: 23-6-5-4-5-10-20-29-38 Roar Harlem This Is How We Do Hard Out Here!!!! Do What U Want Dark Horse TimberDrunk In Love Love your chart, you should check out mine, it's XTREME25 2014 CHART! :) Helloo <3 Thank you + for the comment(s) I'm glad you like them! Also that reminds me: Timber: 11-07-06-06-12-11-3-5-4-6-9-6-5-9-10-15-15-40-out Another smash that got screwed over by queen Lorde :'( Wow, you really seem to like Britney Jean a lot. I'm glad to see that "Do What U Want" was a five week chart topper. :) Yes <3 I don't think it's as bad as everyone is making it out to be. I mean, it's no Blackout, and it's a bit generic, but it's still full of bops. YES!!! Britney Spears slayage :'( Amazing to see 7 of Britney Jean tracks inside the Top 10 and "Alien" being atop! Besides all the Britney songs, glad "Push Play" debuts. <3 Rather Be is charting, and Summer may or may not have a big debut next week ;)

I hope that "Partition" and "G.U.Y." continue climbing.
