- I knew it! I like "Harlem Shake". However, I think it's hated because of Billboard. Blame on it ;)
- Nice debuts of "Can't Hold Us", "Radioactive" and "White Noise".

- Two weeks atop for "Harlem Shake" is too much, I think
- "Radioactive" and "Can't Hold Us" near to be atop.

Incredibly close #1 this week, less than half a point seperate Harlem Shake and Radioactive, but Radioactive came out on top! Poor Harlem Shake spends a second week barely behind the #1. It could have been a 4 week #1 with just 2-3 more plays :P Right behind them, Bridget Mendler debuts at #3 with her debut single, Ready or Not. It's pretty close to the top 2 actually, it could potentially take #1 next week. Wings experiences a surge in plays, repeaking at #4, even higher than DNA's #5 peak. Cliche (Hush Hush) climbs 3 spots to #6, reaching a new peak. Another top 10 debut, We Got The World by Icona Pop debuts at #7, matching the peak of I Love It (down #11-15 this week). Almost home falls to #8, DNA falls to #9, and Heart Attack falls to #10.

Below the top 10, things get crazy. I decided to change the point system a bit for the Justin Timberlake songs, they're 8 minutes long as opposed to the 3-4 minute lengths of every other song on the chart. To try to even this out, I gave all of his plays a x1.5 multiplier, and also I gave Cups a x0.66 multiplier because of how short it is. The top 20 is incredibly strong right now, last week Tiptoe debuted at #13 with 17 points, this week Don't Hold The Wall debuts at #13 with 24 points! 17 points would only get #24 this week. In February, there were weeks when #10 had only 19 points. Though, it makes sense that 2 smash albums debuting a bunch of tracks would make the chart more crowded :P Because of this, 14 songs drop off this week.

At #11, Will.i.am debuts with his follow-up single, #thatpower. Right behind him, Closer by Tegan and Sara debuts at #12, the already mentioned Don't Hold The Wall debuts at #13, and Glorious, the 2013 German Eurovision entry by Cascada, debuts at #14. Pusher Lover Girl debuts at #18, and Feel The Love re-enters at #19. I Could Be The One experiences a huge surge in points, though with all the debuts ahead of it, it only manages to rebound #22-20. More debuts in the second half, Mirrors enters at #24, Two Black Cadillacs enters at #23, Epos by Zedd also enters at #30. Getting closer to charting with all songs from Clarity. Tunnel Vision and Strawberry Bubblegum by Justin Timberlake debut at #33/36, and Suit & Tie re-enters at #40.

Juanito and Slizzard, you're out of luck, A Million Voices is #41 this week and Pompeii is #52 :P

Clarity is at #138 It would have peaked around #20-30 during album release week (aka mid December for me), but it fell out by the time I posted my first chart.

Also, I'm planning on making retroactive charts! I collected plays around 70 times between 2011 january-2012 december, which isn't enough to make entirely accurate weekly charts, but it should be close to enough. So that'll probably be posted soon Not the entire charts though, just #1's or top10's or something.

It's exactly that feeling I had when you debut "Spectrum" recently :kii:

However, this is not the first time it happens the same to a Hollywood Records artist, when their songs have been so long in America and Oceania and they are trying to make the crossover in the European market, like, in this case, in the UK. Selena Gomez & the Scene and Hilary Duff are some examples with their songs "Naturally" and "With Love", respectively.

Yes I originally didn't bother to listen to it because I thought of it as a flop disney song, but then I saw it hit top 10 in the UK a few weeks ago so I gave it a listen <3

Yes :( I expect it to reenter soon though-> Basically all my charts up until now have been retroactive, and since I didn't have the chart back then, I completely forgot about a lot of these songs at the time. But now that I'm going to compile my chart every week, I'll be listening to current songs more often, hopefully giving longer chart runs to the bigger hits

First off, I'll announce a new rule change I've implemented. Basically, I want to chart album tracks but I don't want to flood my chart. Think Imagine Dragons having 10 tracks a couple weeks ago. However, I still want album tracks to chart if they're high enough, because there are cases where they do very well. Some extreme examples, I Wanna Go, Last Friday Night, Pound The Alarm, Where Have You Been and Right Now all hit #1 months before being announced as a single. So, I've decided to let album tracks chart, but only if they're in the top 20 :P Album tracks below 20 will not be able to chart, but I will keep track of their ranking, so if they get released as a single, those weeks will count towards their chart run. For example, Pusher Lover Girl would be #21 this week, but it's not allowed to chart because it's not a single. Let's say its chart run ends up being "18-17-21-28-35-OUT", then it gets released as a single a couple months later. If it reenters, that would count as its 6th week, as if it had been charting the whole time. It won't retroactively get added into any charts though, as that would mess with other songs. Peaks also get counted, so say C'Mon had a chart run of "25-23-26-35-OUT", if it enters at #40 for a week once it's a single, its peak would be #23, not #40.

Also, my definition of single is very loose :P I don't have any strict criteria, adds dates help but being top 40 on radio is enough. Music videos also give things single status, even if it's just a flop promo single.

Ok so onto this week's chart. Honestly I don't have too much to say because I think my chart is pretty easy to read :P So I'll try to skip obvious stuff. Lindsey takes #1, making it the third one week #1 in a row. A welcomed breath of fresh air after 3 months of Spectrum and Scream & Shout. Just Give Me a Reason randomly re-enters, that ought to make some of you happy, hehe. It fell off fast because I kind of forgot that it existed, but then I saw that it fell off so I gave it a few more listens and I love it even more now. It almost manages to repeak! Towards the lower section, you'll see a couple other songs also getting second winds, as I mentioned near the beginning of the thread, this is very common with for hit songs with me. Suit & Tie is becoming quite a big hit despite only peaking at #16, as is Feel This Moment. Beneath Your Beautiful keeps chugging along, same with Feel The Love.

Another thing, from now on I'm going to try to not play songs too much in a single week. So, I'll try to make everything debut in the bottom 20 first, then climb, instead of every hit song debuting in the top 5 then falling. That's part of the reason why the current debuts are so "low". :P
