I've never known a song could be so high in recent times with such low airplay numbers for the songs in the Top 20 even in the Top 10. Last year it seemed like you needed at least 90million in airplay to hit the Top 10 in mediabase airplay. Radio stations seem to have played the top 5 most popular songs way more as a result of including streaming into the BB HOT 100 equation.

That's a surprisingly big update for Jason DeRulo! I hadn't been keeping up with the song so I didn't even know it was doing anything. It was most added song at Top 40 radio last week.

2008 was the year for Chris Brown, I remember his songs were all over pop radio Kiss Kiss, Forever, With You, No Air.
After 2008, the only song I've liked from him is "Don't Wake Me Up".
Yay at "Stay" #1 overall airplay. :)

I'd say he's doing fine right now though. He's almost top 10 on rhythmic and urban, and he's also top 40 on pop, with an r&b song, no less. He even got a +100 spin update on pop.

Au$tin but now he's quit putting out generic dance music. Most people have said the quality has gone back up. So my point still stands.

Chris' music has always been disposable for the most part. He usually sounds bad even in the studio (he sounds Godawful on “Fine China” and I can't remember the last time I heard him sing live.) Maybe if his music weren't offensively bad, the general public would be able to somewhat overlook the fact that he's homophobe, a misogynist, a woman beater, and has severe self-control issues, among other things.
It's hilarious how highly he thinks of himself though (someone who's critically panned and can't sell albums, singles, or concert tickets.) That recent interview in which he said he wanted to become a legend was truly something else. His only memorable hit wasn't even a song.

Music, especially his singles, are usually great and his concert tickets/ albums have sold decent enough. :)

It's been clear for a few years now that most radio listeners either don't care about Chris' personal life or are able to separate their judgments of his personal life from their judgments of his music, because he's continuing to have hit after hit regardless of what kind of antics he gets himself into.

What was that about P!nk being #1 on sales this week? :kii: 6k sales advantage to CHU, ~30? million AI in BDS difference to JGMAR... CHU should have quite a streaming lead... Gonna be close. Hoping CHU gets the #1.

It must have been close in chart points between "Just Give Me A Reason" & "Can't Hold Us" this week, then.
I think the Top5 will look like this:
1- Just Give Me A Reason 2- Can't Hold Us 3- Mirrors 4- Thrift Shop 5- When I Was Your Man
"Stay" will probably be #6 again,
