Duca, you should bold and crazy color Mariah. 32.528 in one day is nothing to scoff at. Nah.

Mimi's/Miguel's track is top 50 at pop, Hot AC and Urban, but not at other formats. The totals from there add up to 20 million and change- where does the additional 12m come from? Rhythmic would be a little bit, and even smaller from Urban AC. Tomorrow's update, I gather, will be a tad less than +32m.

^LOL You crazy or sumthin? How is MY life (or anyone's) "threatened" by how anyone performs on the chart? (Especially when it's someone one likes- good grief, as Charles Brown would say). I mean, really. To boot, it was expected to have a great first day, based on the airplay promo. I overlooked the AC one, as I saw "Almost Home." So that's more than 5m right there (published-panel chart). That will do it.

Why isn't #Beautiful credited as Mariah Carey & Miguel? Because the cover says "starring Mariah & Miguel"
(bothers me)

^So Mimi can get 70%, rather than 50%, of the inverse chart points it accumulates for its week-to-week performance, dahling. maybe Billboard will credit it as "&."

I'm not holding my breath. We've seen songs with similar radio deals that started huge and then fell off.

I bet you paradise, the person on your avatar is not wishing for that and rather hoping this becomes one of her biggest hits.
And HolidayGuy will always post something against Mariah or the song in a subtle way. I have always found her to be hypocrite

Hot 100 Airplay from 15 years ago
1 2 Torn - Natalie Imbruglia (1st week of 11 @ #1)
One of my favourite 90s pop songs. If only Billboard had allowed airplay only songs to chart beginning with the 1997 chart year (they initially were going to do so, but backed down after consulting with record executives).

A song by the youngest artist (to date) to top the Hot 100 was subsequently replaced by one of the most chauvinistic #1 songs of all time. But back in 1963, there wasn't much concern or outrage over it, it was truly a different time.
Anyway, here is the Billboard Top 10 for exactly 50 years ago this week:
May 18, 1963
1 3 If You Wanna Be Happy - Jimmy Soul (1 wk at #1) 2 1 I Will Follow Him - Little Peggy March 3 2 Puff The Magic Dragon - Peter, Paul & Mary 4 7 Surfin' U.S.A. - Beach Boys 5 6 Foolish Little Girl - The Shirelles 6 4 Pipeline - Chantay's 7 10 Losing You - Brenda Lee 8 9 Reverend Mr. Black - The Kingston Trio 9 5 I Can't Get Used To Losing You - Andy Williams 10 23 I Love You Because - Al Martino
