The lyrics to "Party For Two" are: I’m having me a party, I don’t think I can come, this ain’t just any kind of party, I think I’ll stay at home It’s gonna be really, really hot It’s starting to sound good, I’m gonna put you on the spot, Baby, maybe I should, There’s gonna be lots of one on one, I guess I could be there, Come on and join the fun, What should I wear, I’ll tell you about it, It doesn’t matter what you wear, cause it’s only gonna be you and me there
Chorus: I’m having a party, a party for two, I ain’t inviting nobody, nobody but you.
You’ll be sexy in your socks, we could polish the floors, in case anybody knocks, let’s lock all the doors Yeah, all the things I’m gonna do, I’m gonna do with you, I’m gonna try something new, I wanna try it too I’ll tell you about it It doesn’t matt what I wear, cause it’s only gonna be, You and me there
Chorus
Yeah, you, I’m here, You’re there That’s all (we really need) We’re gonna party hardy Just you and me Don’t think about now Don’t even doubt it now I’m inviting you to a party for two
Come on baby, All the things I’m gonna do, I’m gonna do with you, I’m gonna try something new, I wanna try that too
I’ll tell you about it
It doesn’t matter what you wear Cause it’s only gonna be It’s only gonna be you and me Awww yeah,
A little bitty party baby Just me and you That’s right I ain’t inviting anybody, Nobody baby
Chorus
Come on, Come on Come on, Come on Come on, Come on, Come on Come on, Come on, yeah Come on, Come on, Come on Come on, Come on Come on, Come on, Come on Come on, Come on, yeah
Just you and me
That was great Let’s do it again!lounge.teamshania.com/showthread.php?t=5207

PARTY OF ONE Shania Twain, sporting a chic new 'do, takes a break while shooting one of her two videos for "Party for Two," the first single off her greatest hits album (due Nov. 9), Friday in London. The song was recorded twice, with one version featuring Sugar Ray's Mark McGrath and the other country's Billy Currington.

I wouldn't even have known that was Shania, except for the caption.

TWAIN SINGLE IMPACTING RADIO THIS WEEK Although no official date has been announced for the release of "Party For Two" by Shania Twain with Billy Currington, the first single from her upcoming Greatest Hits album, radio should have it in their hands this week...with it escaping to radio throughout the week and at all stations by Friday.

Sounds awesome! The quality wasn't that good, but I liked it. Can't wait to hear it on radio.

It certainly helps that WUSN is already contributing 650,000 to the song's audience with 19 spins. It's already ranked #22 there. In Houston at KILT it's doing well at #23, with 20 spins and an audience over 300,000.
Those two stations alone account for almost 1/3 of her entire audience range.

Just wait until it goes for adds on Tuesday.
57 stations have added it already, +205 spins w. 3.069 listeners and not even "added" yet. This could be Shania's Greatest Hit!!! ;)

I think this will be a smash! I hope the pop version works as well.
EDIT:
I forgot to add this: it sounds like she's saying ,"I'm having a potty... a potty for two!" LOL, I can't help but hear that.

For those interested: The POP version of "Party For Two," the version with Shania and Mark McGrath, is supposed to be premiered on the tv show "EXTRA" on Monday, September 6 OR Monday, September 13.There is some confusion on which Monday the "Party For Two" segment, including a possible Video premiere for the song, will air. Now that I've heard the whole thing, it sounds like every other Shania uptempo tune. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but I wish that she'd mix it up.
She's great at catchy melodies, but her stuff is so fluffy it's hard to take it seriously at all.

I like this more than the upbeat songs from her last album. A potty for two? That's so romantic. Shania should sell Shania brand 'Potty 4 2s' at Wal Mart! SMASH HIT!

Damn I don't know what it is but I love this song right now and I wasn't really crazy about "Up". I thought it was a major letdown compared to "Come On Over". This song is really enjoyable though. It made me pull out my "Come On Over" CD tonight and listen to it for the first time in a long time.

chart question:
I've checked out the Song Analysis of mediabase (quick cut info). It constantly gives more audience impressions and with 70 more spins than it appears on the Mediabase country chart. Does anyone knows why this is.
Like right now it shows under country 500 spins against the 430 of Mediabase chart, and in the total it gives 581 spins against the 500 under country. But there is no other spins for the song than country?

Looks like PFT wont make a Top 30 pre debut, but I expect it to debut close or in the Top 20.
5:45 PST PFT>>#32 with 454 spins, +454 plays, and 6.662 million audience.
Man! If Shania could pick up 100-200 plays she would sky rocket! The audience is there, and after the add on Tuesday this song should soar; already testing well in large markets and getting crucial play in small markets too.

I heard the song today for the first time, and while it's fun enough, to me it was a bit of a letdown. I guess I was somehow expecting more from the song, given it's sizzling start.

I wonder why she picked for the country version...someone so new, and for the pop version....someone washed up? I saw sugar ray on saturday night in milwaukee, and got bored and left (it was a free show).....lots of cover songs. Back to the country version....I wonder why she didn't pick toby, I think they'd have done good together, unless they did record it, and it didn't turn out good? That could be why it was reported that they did do a duet, and then all of the sudden it was scrapped.

Personally I don't think there was a duet with Keith.
And newcommer or , Currington has a good voice, and some good songs. And they are sounding very good together, in my opinion.

This is starting off the same way as "I'm Gonna Getcha Good!", but I think that debuted in the 20s on Billboard. I can't remember. This one will be lower on BB than on R&R. Ranked on spins she's #36, while the R&R method puts her at #31.

I think IGGG debuted like 24-27. But it also gained in six days 3000 spins. UP! gained 1000 spins in its first week.
But of course there were more stations back than.
So it's much faster than Shania's last three singles, but it's not as fast as Chesney's or Keith's latest singles.

Toby Keith's song is already losing spins. :o I'm really glad it is, but very very unexpected.
