R&R Update
Shania Twain's "Party For Two" has moved to #27 from last weeks #32 debut. The song is the third fastest moving song on the chart behind Kenny Chesney's "The Woman With You" and Tim McGraw's "Back When." "Party For Two" is also the most added song on country radio this week with 30 adds.
The song is also No. 4 on the most increased plays with 217 increased plays this week. The single currently has around 671 spins a week...let's keep it comin' Shania fans! Two songs could soon go "recurrent" (Girls Lie Two and Live Like YOu Were Dyin) This could help Shania's song move up at least two spots by next week.

OK, your post 2 posts down makes no sense compared to this one...u said it was 3rd most added, behind TM. Then you posted it was 4th, and TM was not in the top 5? BILLY CURRINGTON'S BACK-TO-BACK EURO-TRIPS TO RECORD DUET AND VIDEO WITH SHANIA
A few weeks back Billy Currington was advised that he was going to get an important phone call and they couldn't tell him who would be on the phone. "It's an important person," they assured him, "so answer the phone."
"The next day the phone rang and I instantly recognized the sweet voice of Shania on the line," Currington said. Shania told him she and Mutt had found a song that they thought his voice would be perfect to sing on with her and would he be interested in coming to Switzerland to sing on it?
Of course, Currington said yes and he was soon on a plane to Geneva where he was met and taken to a studio near Geneva to record, "Party For Two." "I didn't get to go to their castle, or chateau I'd heard so much about," Billy said with mock disappointment.
"Mutt and Shania couldn't have been sweeter to me. We sang the song through 6 or 7 times, they said it was great...and I turned right back around and was back on a plane to the U.S."
Billy says within a few days he was back on a plane again, headed to London, this time for a two-day video shoot for "Party For Two." "We filmed 17 hours one day and 24 hours the next. And I tell you, Shania is so smart and really knows what she wants," Currington observed.

As an obsessed Shania Twain fan, maybe I'm just biased, but I think this sounds great. I think the male counterpart helps the song appeal to a wider audience because it puts guys like me right there with her. Hoping for good things...

I just downloaded this on iTunes only to be disappointed with a cheesy spoken intro right over the beginning of the song.

This has grown on me. Its fun haha.
Up disappointed me at first (the cd) but like...6 months after I bought it I slipped it on and suddenly I really liked it. I think it just took some listening for me to open up to it.

Shania will be featured on a new edition of CMT's "Insider." The "Insider" special will air on Saturday, September 25th. Some information about it: Host Katie Cook is back from her visit with supertstar Shania Twain in beautiful Switzerland, and she'll give a sneak peek at what the star's been up to and get the scoop on her new duet "Party for Two" with country singer Billy Currington and Sugar Ray frontman Mark McGrath.www.cmt.com/shows/dyn//cmt_insider/86131/episode_about.jhtml

I think "Party For Two" took a small hit in Country airplay, but I think it is still doing ok.
It is at # 23 with 1365 total spins and a gain of +258. Audience impression for the song is at 12.697
It looks like quite a few songs took a hit. Florida Hurricane(s) hurt airplay?

The Video for the country version of "Party For Two" is now being played on CMT. [It premiered last night - Sept. 27.] It is on "Hot Rotation" and being played a lot. If you do not want to watch CMT to see the video, you can go to Launch.com and download the video there. Here is the address for where you can Download the "Party For Two" video. launch.yahoo.com/artist/videos.asp?artistID=1027718You also might want to check out CMT's official site [ www.cmt.com/ ] to see if they have the video available for download. Just a note: That same country video for "Party For Two" is scheduled to begin airing on GAC sometime this week. A brief news article on Countrystars.com mentioned the premiere on GAC but No date or time was given for its premiere.

The video will debut #1 on CMT's playlist with 41 plays in just one week. IMO, if Shania doesn't get the Johnny Cash Visionary Award at the 2005 Flameworthy Awards, something is wrong. Every single except for "I'm Holdin On To Love" has had a video. If you haven't seen both versions, you are missing out.

Every single except for "I'm Holdin On To Love" has had a video. If you haven't seen both versions, you are missing out. I completely agree! Shania deserves that Flameworthy Award. Then again, she has deserved a lot of awards in the past 10 years that she was passed up for in favor of less deserving, and often less qualified, people. If the CMA and ACM people will not recognize her, she at least deserves that special Flameworthy award. After all, the Dixie Chicks got that "Visionary" Flameworthy award after having out a total of around 7 videos for their entire career at that point. Shania definitely deserves it! At least someone is recognizing Shania... lounge.teamshania.com/showthread.php?t=5371I just find it amazing that with all of Shania's Sales, Airplay, and Tour success over the years, she still gets nothing from the CMA and ACM organizations. So much for them supposedly using "success at radio, sales of prerecorded music, success of music videos, live concert ticket sales, artistic merit, appearances on television, appearances in films, songwriting, writing and contributions to the country music industry " as the 'criteria' for the awards. www.acmcountry.com/awards_categories.htm

Shania gains four positions to #18 on Billboard this week with a +316 bullet.
The song tests very poorly on Bullseye Marketing Research's callout chart for this week. It's 35th out of 35 current singles tested, ranking dead last among both males and females of all age demographics, with high numbers in the "Dislike/Strong Dislike" categories. That's reminiscent of the very poor showing it had on After Midnite's Pick It/Flick It poll.
I think the song is fun and enjoyable enough, if lightweight. I think it deserves better than that poor ranking. In any case, country radio seems to be accepting it very well, so far.

Yeah, it's not moving up like the 1st singles from her last 2 albums, but I think it could at least go top 10. Should help billy if nothing else. It also might help once it is released to pop, but I'm honestly thinking it'll be a flop at pop. Possibly top 30 at AC, probably doesn't show up on hot AC or top 40 chart is my guess.

Truthfully, no offense to those out there, but I don't think Billy fans are behind this song. We need there help requesting too, been having a rough few days. The only difficulty with this is the time. Less then 5 weeks to the GH release and not near enough people have heard the song and/or know about the GH. For this single to be effective in promoting the cd, it will need to move soon. Good jump on Billboard BTW

Smack, actually it is moving much more steady than many of her recent singles on the country chart. FAFA took 9 weeks to make the top 20 on billboard and it was a top 5 country hit. I think this could easily go #1. Many people are talking about it on the CMT and other boards.
As for that other testing chart, what is it? What does it mean and who all did they test? I think those tests mean nothing at all. I could see this being a pop hit very easily. When you compare it to other songs on the charts, this is a much better song.

Shaniagotchgood, I really don't know where you are coming from. I have been on Billy's board and they love the song and the video. Don't worry millions of people know about shania GH. You need to relax, there is only one or two songs on the chart that is moving as fast as Shania's. NO song is storming up the charts. Shania's GH will sell huge and you can count on that. I think PF2 will be a top 5 hit if not #1 in country and I think it will do very well in pop.
