It's crazy! :o "Get Lucky" is gonna be a massive hit! A disco flavored smash in 2013, wow... and Pharrell will have two big hits at the same time. was his last hit "Frontin'"? waaay back in 2003, that song was a jam. He was featured on Snoop Dogg's "Beautiful" another jam. His last big hit with him as the main artist was "Frontin'," but I'd say "Can I Have It Like That" was pretty notable too despite it's measly #49 peak on the Hot 100. His last big hit as a feature was "Money Maker" with Ludacris. Talk about forgotten #1s XD I did not remember "Money Maker" at all lol 2003 was a great year for him, he got 4 top 10s: Beautiful, Frontin', Excuse Me Miss, Change Clothes, three of them he was featured but still lol

Haha that's funny: I remember "Money Maker" very clearly, but none of the four songs you just listed even kind of ring a bell.

^ I think it was. And we blamed it on the addition of streaming to the chart. Little did we know what YouTube was gonna do

Yeah, last summer was dreadfully slowly paced. A lot of people were blaming it on streaming. I think it was just the fact that there weren't any big-named artists to release anything last year other than Maroon 5 ("Payphone") and Katy Perry ("Wide Awake"). Everything else was either artists who weren't mainstream staples (Nicki, Bieber, Flo) or brand new artists (Carly, Gotye, Wanted, Direction). You all forgot "Drop It Like It's Hot" with Snoop Dogg. :( That one's older than "Money Maker" and not from 2003, so no one forgot it, it just didn't match any of the critera. ;)

wow, looking at the songs from 5, 10 and even 15 years ago, easily most of those songs could still be hits today. Barely sound dated if at all.

www.billboard.com/biz/articles/news/chart-alert/1565037/daft-punk-leads-debut-filled-top-four-on-billboard-200Over on the Digital Songs chart, the top-selling tune of the week remains "Can't Hold Us" by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis featuring Ray Dalton, with another 212,000 downloads sold (down 8%). Jumping up two slots is Florida Georgia Line's "Cruise" (4-2), with 197,000 (up 4%). Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines" (featuring T.I. and Pharrell Williams) slips 2-3 with 191,000 (down 8%), while P!nk's "Just Give Me a Reason" (featuring Nate Ruess) dips 3-4 with 184,000 (down 5%). Climbing 10-5 with 180,000 is Daft Punk's "Get Lucky," also featuring Williams, up by 53%. The song profits from release-week buzz of its parent album, the aforementioned Random Access Memories. Selena Gomez's "Come and Get It" is pushed back 5-6, despite a gain this week. It moved 171,000 downloads, up 4%. The chart's highest debut comes in at No. 7, by the late Zach Sobiech. The singer/songwriter -- who passed away on Monday, May 20, from cancer -- enters with "Clouds," selling 156,000 downloads (up 8,149%). The song has been on sale since December 2012, and had sold 25,000 through the Sunday night before he died. Sobiech was also part of the trio A Firm Handshake, whose album Fix Me Up flies onto the Billboard 200 at No. 20 with 19,000 sold (up 7,500%). The set features "Clouds," and was released in February. Closing out the top 10 on Digital Songs: Imagine Dragons' "Radioactive" falls 7-8 (148,000; though it's up 4%), Timberlake's "Mirrors" descends 6-9 (142,000; down 9%), and Icona Pop's "I Love It" (featuring Charli XCX) is pushed back 8-10 with 134,000 (despite a gain of 4%). Digital track sales this past week totaled 24.5 million downloads, up less than 1% compared with last week (24.4 million) and down 6% stacked next to the comparable week of 2012 (26 million). Year-to-date track sales are at 555.7 million, down 3% compared with the same total at this point last year (571.3 million).

Flipmode Squad Damn, what a top 3! 2003 had the best summer tunes imo. It makes me think, when was the last hit that used the diwali riddim? I hope we get another hit with that one day, it's so catchy.

What's with the hold up? Did Get Lucky break streaming records due to album release week and somehow jumped to #1?

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis Still Atop Hot 100, Zach Sobiech Debuts The duo reigns for a fourth frame with 'Can't Hold Us'; Justin Timberlake and Florida Georgia Line set milestones; and the touching story of the late Sobiech makes its way to the chart
Macklemore & Ryan Lewis spend a fourth week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 with "Can't Hold Us," featuring Ray Dalton. Justin Timberlake and Florida Georgia Line set notable milestones and, outside the top 10, "Clouds" by Zach Sobiech, who passed away last week at just 18 years old, soars onto the list, fueled by a top 10 debut on Digital Songs.
"Hold" posts a fourth week atop Digital Songs, decreasing by 8% to 212,000 downloads sold, according to Nielsen SoundScan. It slips 1-2 on the subscription services-based On-Demand Songs chart after five frames at the summit and holds at its No. 2 peak to date on Streaming Songs, drawing 5.6 million U.S. streams (down 6%), according to Nielsen BDS. The track's airplay advances, however, as "Hold" remains bulleted at No. 3 on Radio Songs with 127 million all-format audience impressions (up 1%), according to BDS.
With the twosome's prior breakout hit "Thrift Shop," featuring Wanz (now at No. 12), having reached the top 10 on the Hot 100 dated Jan. 5, on its way to a six-week (nonconsecutive) reign, Macklemore and Lewis are one of only two acts to place at least one title in the chart's top 10 each week this year. Bruno Mars is the other, with "Locked Out of Heaven" and "When I Was Your Man," the latter of which bookends the top tier this week (4-10).
"Hold" collects a sixth week at No. 1 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and Rap Songs charts.
Down 5% in overall chart points, "Hold" maintains the Hot 100's top spot over P!nk's former three-week No. 1 "Just Give Me a Reason," featuring fun.'s Nate Ruess (also down 5%), which logs a fourth week at No. 2. "Reason" stays at No. 2 on Radio Songs, which it led two weeks ago (131 million, down 4%), and descends 3-4 on Digital Songs, which it led for four weeks (184,000, down 5%), and 9-13 on Streaming Songs (3.2 million, down 9%).
The Hot 100's top three, in fact, remains in place for a fourth straight week, as Justin Timberlake's "Mirrors" again ranks at No. 3. As the track spends a second week at No. 1 on Radio Songs, he boasts a new career-best audience reach: the song's 151 million (up 6%) bests the 146 million that "My Love," featuring T.I., registered in its fifth and final week atop Radio Songs the week of Dec. 9, 2006. "Mirrors" falls 6-9 on Digital Songs (142,000, down 9%) and 8-10 on Streaming Songs (3.5 million, down 3%).
As Daft Punk's "Random Access Memories" debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 339,000 copies sold, marking the year's second-best sales frame, the set's lead single, "Get Lucky," featuring Pharrell Williams, roars 10-4 as the Hot 100's top Digital and Streaming Gainer. The track charges 10-5 on Digital Songs (180,000, up 53%), 5-3 on Streaming Songs (5.1 million, up 13%) and 3-1 on On-Demand Songs (2.2 million, up 28%), while vaulting 29-12 on Radio Songs (52 million, up 27%). "Lucky" collects a second week at No. 1 on Dance/Electronic Songs and reaches the top of Dance/Club Play Songs (3-1), marking the duo's fifth No. 1 on the latter list and first since 2004.
Florida Georgia Line's "Cruise" reaches the Hot 100's top five (6-5) in its 34th week, setting a record for the slowest climb to the region in the chart's nearly 55-year history. It eclipses the 30-week ascent to the top five of Lonestar's eventual No. 1 "Amazed" in 1999-2000. "Cruise" rises 4-2 on Digital Songs (197,000, up 4%), sails into the top 10 (11-9) on Radio Songs (55 million, up 7%) and pushes 17-16 on Streaming Songs (3 million, down less than 1%). It tops Hot Country Songs for a 13th week.
Like "Amazed," "Cruise" has charted its steady Hot 100 course by starting at country and crossing over. "Cruise" crowned Country Airplay for three weeks in December. Reworked with vocals by Nelly, it's since made waves at pop radio, ascending 12-10 on Pop Songs and 20-16 on Adult Pop Songs this week.
Selena Gomez's "Come & Get It" returns to its Hot 100 peak (7-6). After she performed the song on the Billboard Music Awards (May 19), it gains by 4% to 171,000 in its first full week after the festivities and becomes her first top 10 (13-10) on Radio Songs (54 million, up 9%). She'd previously climbed as high as No. 15 on Radio Songs with "Love You Like a Love Song" (with backing band the Scene) last year.
Fellow BBMAs performers Icona Pop likewise revisit their highest Hot 100 rank with "I Love It," featuring Charli XCX (9-7). The song rises courtesy of gains in airplay (84 million, up 12%) and sales (up 4% to 134,000).
Rihanna's "Stay," featuring Mikky Ekko, drops 5-8 on the Hot 100 and Imagine Dragons' "Radioactive" retreats 8-9.
Beyond the Hot 100's top 10, Zach Sobiech's "Clouds" makes surely one of the most bittersweet debuts in the chart's history, as the inspirational folk ballad starts at No. 26. As previously reported, the song became a viral hit for the singer/songwriter, who passed away last Monday (20). Its profile has been assisted by the buzz of a video in which several actors and musicians expressed their admiration for him. "Clouds" enters Digital Songs at No. 7 (and re-enters Rock Digital Songs at No. 1) with 156,000 downloads sold. On Hot Rock Songs, "Clouds" returns at No. 3 after edging onto the chart two weeks ago at No. 48.
Check Billboard.com tomorrow (30), when all rankings, including the Hot 100 in its entirety and Digital Songs, Radio Songs, Streaming Songs and On-Demand Songs will be refreshed, as they are each Thursday.

Would have been at least a dozen #1s if the chart was created earlier

If "Gangnam Style" is still #1 on the Streaming Songs chart, why doesn't Billboard ever report its' numbers?

Wow I hope "Can't Hold Us" can hold at #1 for another week or two. "Get Lucky" seems to be next in line to the top! :o

If "Gangnam Style" is still #1 on the Streaming Songs chart, why doesn't Billboard ever report its' numbers? I think because it's not in the top 10 of the Hot 100 (those are the only songs where they usually give the streaming figures for). I'm not worried about Blurred Lines really. It'll still probably get #1 and 20+ weeks in the top 10 and after that we won't really care that it wasn't top 10 this week lol. I could see the #1s going Can't Hold Us -> Get Lucky -> Blurred Lines -> Treasure
