When WBT surpassed 200m audience, Hot 100 Airplay was comprised of 965 stations. I know that the total had topped 1,200 at one point. How many are there now?
It costs money to monitor stations, hence why not every single stations is BDS-monitored.

As predicted, "Stay" will pass 3 million before "Diamonds". It will do it next week, and "Diamonds" will follow a week after. Two consecutive 3x Platinum singles, a Platinum and a Gold single so far from the Unapologetic era. Fantastic, her biggest era since Loud.

2.837 million - AWOLNATION - Sail (43k - #44)
:o
4.200 million - Maroon 5 - One More Night (17k - #120) 4.592 million - Psy - Gangnam Style (19k - #105)
People had been complaining about One More Night blocking Gangnam Style but it's barely behind it in digital sales, and was WAY ahead in airplay, and yet people would still consider Gangnam Style a bigger hit. I think that proves how big Youtube's influence is nowadays, and that it's a valid component to the chart.
545k - Krewella - Alive (36k - #54)
This is just pathetic...

545k - Krewella - Alive (36k - #54) This is just pathetic... Radio really wanted to make a hit out of that one, but the people buy what the people want.

217k - Chris Brown - Fine China (35k - #55)
How does this have so much airplay? It's sold on par with Gentleman...
Radio needs to stop embracing Chris if the public doesn't want him.

Lead single, top 10 5 urban/rhythmic, and top 40 30 pop. They (urban singles) don't sell huge numbers (compared to pop) but they still sell... Plus it's getting pop play, which is the biggest single selling format.

Most Urban singles don't even get to sell 400k, let alone 500k. Being top 30 at Pop is not groundbreaking airplay. If he were higher, I could see an argument being made. Nothing suggests that it won't sell better with more Pop spins so far, so I don't really get it.

Wow, I wish we would get that info every week! We have been (minus last week) but in a different thread. What Are you talking about the "Top Selling Digital Singles since 2005"? But that only has the top 200, we don't get to see the songs that sold below 2.9-3m units. Unless there's another mysterious thread that I don't know about

I had been posting them in the Top Selling Digital Singles since 2005 thread until a few weeks ago when 2m and I had decided to put them in the weekly Hot 100 threads. I had been putting them in the previous week's threads because those are the dates that coincide with the digital sales, but I've decided to go ahead and post them in the current week's threads since more people can see them that way. No one really checks the old week's threads once the top ten's been announced unless it's a big week. Last week was the first week since 2013 began that we haven't gotten the sales. Nice to see they've returned!

2.837 million - AWOLNATION - Sail (43k - #44) :o 4.200 million - Maroon 5 - One More Night (17k - #120) 4.592 million - Psy - Gangnam Style (19k - #105) People had been complaining about One More Night blocking Gangnam Style but it's barely behind it in digital sales, and was WAY ahead in airplay, and yet people would still consider Gangnam Style a bigger hit. I think that proves how big Youtube's influence is nowadays, and that it's a valid component to the chart. 545k - Krewella - Alive (36k - #54) This is just pathetic... Yeah but gangnam style is the most sought after youtube song in history based on the end listener actually wanting to hear the song not what radio decided it was going to play.
