Nice debut for The Wolf, hope it keeps rising. Beck is making decent progress up the ranks, glad to see you're digging the song. Sad to see Robert DeLong miss #1 but he had a good peak.

Also almost missed Wolf Alice at #61, hope they can keep rising with I Am and Gimme All Your Love. Also I'm about to debut Ocean Drive but I see it's off to a great start on your end.

- Nice that the latest Hot 100 chart-topper has managed to crack your Top 40 now.
- As happy as I am about "King"s impressive second wind, I hope "Shine" doesn't end up getting eclipsed because of it!
- Lovely jump for "Body Talk." I'd still say it's my favorite of her solo singles, but I should give "Youth" a little more credit. That one's pretty great too.
- I've given "Moments" a couple listens, and while it's certainly gotten some high praise around Pulse, I don't hear what makes it much more radio-friendly/single-worthy than "Timebomb." Whatever they end up actually pushing, I just hope she can continue her Hot 100 hit streak.

Re: Y & Y - It's a reminder to me even that I can't count songs out even though they've had a terrible first run, haha.
Re: The Weeknd - I'm on the fence with "Can't Feel My Face". I enjoy it but I don't love it near as much as "The Hills" or most of the stuff I've previously heard from him.
Re: Y & Y (2) - Nah, I'll pull "King" soon. I don't want another "King" scenario, lol. 
Re: Foxes - I still prefer "Youth" and "Let Go For Tonight" for now, but "Body Talk" is great also. :)
Re: Tovesus - Could it be due to "Timebomb"'s rapid fire verses? They were a tad jarring on the first few listens. I definitely prefer "Moments" for sure.

Commentary!

Carly Rae Jepsen holds at no. 1 for a second week with "Run Away With Me". "On To Something Good" likewise holds at no. 2, but Ashley scores a 2nd top ten entry this week as "The Blade" moves from 15 to 10. "Dime Store Cowgirl" inches from 4 to 3 and becomes Kacey's 3rd top three hit. "No Sleeep" slips from 3 to 4 after hitting no. 1 for a week two weeks ago. "Good Thing" jumps 7 to 5, thus becoming the first top five entry for both artists. "Me and Johnny Cash" falls 5 to 6 as a result. "Ex's & Oh's" and "Coming Home" each advance 2 spots from no. 9 to 7 and 10 to 8, respectively. Rounding out the top ten are Alessia Cara's "Here" as it moves 13 to 9 and the aforementioned "The Blade". 

Elsewhere the chart is rather busy this week. A whopping 13 songs debut. Blonde and Karen Harding lead the pack of debuts as they enter at no. 35 with "Feel Good (It's Alright)". It's the 3rd entry for Blonde and the 2nd for Karen. Billie Black scores yet another entry as "This Simple Pleasure" debuts at no. 46. It's the title track from her new EP (which is fabulous, by the way). Expect more entries from it soon. "Pleasure" is her 6th charting entry (she's previously charted with "I Don't Need Another Lover", "Black & White", "Do You Really", "I Waited For You", and "Teach Me"). Sigala blasts in at no. 48 with "Easy Love" thanks to the use of a prominent Jackson 5 sample. I'm super late on this one, but ODESZA's "Say My Name" debuts at no. 64. Sam Sparro enters at no. 67 with "Hands Up" and in the process scores his 2nd charting entry. Feder and Lyse debut at no. 72 with "Goodbye". Boy & Bear finally debuts on my chart with "Walk the Wire" at no. 78. If I allowed recurrents to chart then "Southern Sun" would be a top ten entry for sure. I've debated about debuting it for a while now despite the fact that it was released in 2013. I never charted it though, so maybe it'll have a chance. Kendrick Lamar's "Alright" debuts at no. 85. The remaining debuts come from RUFUS (no. 95, "You Were Right"), Jamie Woon (no. 96, "Sharpness"), Kilter (no. 97, "Want 2" ft. Porsches), JackLNDN (no. 98, "All I See"), and Lion Babe (no. 100, "Impossible"). Each of these are the maiden entries for their respective artists.

Zebra's Top 100 - August 23, 2015 - Week 117, Week 35 

Commentary:

Carly Rae Jepsen nabs a third week at the top with "Run Away With Me". If she can hold there for one more week she'll claim the longest chart topper of 2015. "Black & White", "Can't Deny My Love", and "Love Me Like You Do" have all previously spent three weeks at the penthouse. Ashley is thus stuck at no. 2 for a third week whereas Kacey is stuck at no. 3 for a second week. Demi Lovato blasts from 14 to 4 with "Cool For The Summer" and in the process instantly scores her second highest charting entry. "Heart Attack" was a no. 1 hit in early 2013. "Good Thing" holds at no. 5. "No Sleeep" slips from 4 to 6 and "Me and Johnny Cash" slips from 6 to 7. "Coming Home" holds at no. 8 while "The Blade" inches from 10 to 9. Carly Rae bookends the top ten this week as "Let's Get Lost" storms in at no. 10. I usually don't chart album tracks, but Emotion is flawless so you'll probably see more soon.

Otherwise the chart is rather boring this week. Only four songs debut, including the aforementioned "Lost", Loreen's "I'm In It With You" (no. 28), Carrie Underwood's "Smoke Break" (no. 63), and The Neighbourhood's "R.I.P. 2 My Youth" at no. 100. Look for Gorgon City's "Saving My Life", Icona Pop's "Emergency", Jahkoy's "Still In Love", Disclosure's "Omen", Justin Bieber's "What Do You Mean", Muse's "Mercy", Shinedown's "Cut the Cord", and Paul Kalkbrenner's "Feed Your Head" to be among the new entries next week.

Commentary!

Carly Rae Jepsen continues her dominance this week as "Run Away With Me" holds at no. 1 for a 4th consecutive week. It's the longest chart topper of the year thus far. Carly also make notable moves in the top ten with "Let's Get Lost" (10-5) and "All That" (26-9). She is the first artist to have three or more entries in the top ten consecutively since... Iggy Azalea? Anyways, her good fortune doesn't stop there. Three other songs from Emotion debut. "Gimmie Love" leads the pack of debuts as it enters at no. 42. Jepsen's other new entries this week are "Emotion" (no. 48) and "Making the Most of the Night" (no. 99). I'll likely hold off on charting anything else from the album until they get an official release/until some of the others exit. 

Carly successfully keeps Ashley in the runner up position for the 4th straight week. "On To Something Good" may sneak in a week at no. 1 soon, though, but even if it doesn't it'll challenge for the longest run at no. 2 for a no. 2 peaking song (5 weeks). Demi and Kacey swap positions with "Cool For The Summer" and "Dime Store Cowgirl" (nos. 3 and 4 this week, respectively). Ashley jumps from 9 to 6 with "The Blade". "Good Thing" slips from 5 to 7 and "Me and Johnny Cash" likewise slips from 7 to 8. Beck finally scores a top ten entry as "Dreams" randomly leaps from 40 to 10. 

Including the aforementioned Carly debuts, 10 songs manage to debut this week. Justin Bieber blasts in at no. 54 with "What Do You Mean?". I suspect that it'll be his highest charting entry in no time (I believe "Eenie Meenie" peaked at no. 10?). Taylor Swift nabs her 4th entry from 1989 as "Wildest Dreams" bows at no. 66. Swift has a good track record for entries from 1989, as "Shake It Off", "Blank Space", and "Style" all hit no. 1. "Bad Blood" failed to chart, though, so that makes for an interesting chart history. Gorgon City (w/ROMANS) debuts at no. 72 with "Saving My Life", Keyes debuts at no. 73 with "Black Magic", Shawn Mendes with "Stitches" at no. 83, Imagine Dragons with "Roots" at no. 91, and Jahkoy with "Still in Love" at no. 100. The chart in general is quite busy this week as many songs manage to break out of ruts and finally take off.
