In terms of other mainstream men: Iβve seen Brothers O, Brett Young (he shared an MLK quote on his Instagram), Brad, Thomas, Tim and the ones mentioned above. Matt Stell liked a few tweets about how after the murder was and about not being racist but I guess he isnβt really as popular as some of the others.
And also, I wouldnβt blame someone or think less of someone for not posting anything. I would much rather artists spend time educating themselves or calling out racist behavior than posting something on Insta and never thinking about the issue again.

Country stars have the ears of the audiences who've traditionally not aligned with being on the right side of history. It is of the utmost importance, in my opinion, for them to make some damn statements. Props to all of those who have, and to those who haven't, the clock's ticking. Complacency ain't cute.

Reba posted in support of Black Lives Matter this morning, and it's so disheartening to read many of the hateful, negative comments on the post by her "fans".

yes, the drumbeat got loud enough that some of the bigger name men decided to say something. And it needed to happen. Many are still quiet (looking at you Lukeβs), but happy that at least some have said something.

It has been interesting to read the posts of the artists who have spoken out! Some of them have been really well done.
Hoping Luke C. and Miranda both come up with a really good post because I like them both so much! I know in the past sheβs said that she doesnβt use her platform for social issues or political stuff but this is so much different IMO.
EDIT: Luke just made an Instagram post for blackout Tuesday:
The caption is βListening, Learning and Understanding. #BlackoutTuesdayβ
Short post but it is good to see one from him. Sometimes the simple ones are best, especially if you donβt have the exact words to say.
Still hoping for Miranda and Sam Hunt (feel less confident we get something from him...)

Very pleased that Scotty McCreery also just posted on Twitter and Instagram.

I donβt imagine Miranda will participate, she is married to a former NY Police officer. It would mean that much more if she did though.

Well at least one says something. Probably not to this Board's liking though. Itβs cute Chase Rice took his fingers out of his mouth long enough to figure out Twitter, but I believe she was looking for a mainstream male artist to speak out ;) Heβs mainstream but thatβs definitely not a compliment either ππ

Can I just applaud Cam for calling out Jana Kramer and Mike Caussin on their podcast episode with Mickey? Someone needed to call it out. (I have had issues previously with how Mike is on the podcast but I'll leave that for another time)
Mickey is the kindest person and has the sweetest heart. She is always trying to help people and wants them to learn. She just didnt deserve to be trampled on like she was to the point she hung up and was crying. she only came back with her husband (who said he was there to protect her from more hurt) after Jana called her privately to talk her into it. Mike was down right disrespectful about everything and seemed to try and downplay any struggles Mickey and the black community has had in their life because he hasnt seen it. It was just wrong on so many levels.
All in all the episode felt very much self serving for them. it just rubbed me the wrong way. I'm glad cam called them out.

Cam continues to be an exemplary model of what it means to grapple with white privilege and use it for the benefit of those who are marginalized (rather than one's own white self). Proud to be a fan of hers. And of Mickey Guyton's, who has been carrying so much unwarranted responsibility of educating these uneducated (/unwilling-to-learn) white peers & country fans, when it should be the white people who educate themselves and each other for the black community. MG is such a solid artist and human.

not gonna lie I've only just started to get into Jana Kramer but that whole exchange gives me pause to listen to her music further. There was no need for that to get as far as it did.

I saw a tweet about this podcast that didn't mention how it went, so I started listening not knowing what was going to happen...my stomach is now unknotting after 40 minutes of a watching-a-car-crash reaction listening to this. My goodness. Cam's tweet is exactly right β they, Mike especially, talked over Mickey, downplayed and disputed her lived experiences, then had the audacity to try to have her absolve them of their guilt. White folks reading this: don't do this. Mickey and Grant were far more gracious than was deserved or should be expected.

That was suuuuper cringey to hear Mike talking like that at Mickey and ruining what could've been a nice moment. I think it's safe to say Jana Kramer had good intentions by inviting her onto this podcast, but yeah, as someone said above, Mike really shouldn't have even been a part of this and he's always rubbed me the wrong way because I know he's been s**tty towards Jana in the past, so this honestly doesn't surprise me, sadly. And Jana herself could've done more to diffuse that situation before it even got to that point, so that does disappoint me as a big fan of her's. I'm glad that Mickey came back on and was able to have a teachable moment here as the podcast really went down in flames before she came back on with her husband and righted the ship, and I do hope that her + Jana are able to maintain their friendship after this.
It's nice to see Mickey Guyton and Cam both being among the most active voices in these times of unrest.

I'm proud of all the country artist who haven't come out in support of the B.S .that is going on with all these protests. What is sad is to see the country music ones that have. I know everyone is entitled to their opinions, but when before all this got started, have ever hears any of these stars say anything about blacks , injustice or anything else that involves blacks. Never, they probably don't even associate with blacks, have any in their bands.Sad their only doing it for the publicity. Thanks to all the artist who aren't hyprocites.

MODs, I know what you do is all volunteer and it's a thankless job. But you really need to address this and you need to address this strongly. I feel like a lot of people on this board love it (I check this place 5-10 times a day) but I do not want to be a part of a place that tolerates this type of behavior. And I wouldn't be surprised if many others agreed with me. Kurt sabre14 jhomes87 KanenrΓ‘:ke Glove Slap Taylor.

It is sad that people are choosing this week as the first time they're going to openly support Black people (not "blacks"). It's also disappointing when people who have a platform choose not to use it to both remind people that those not like them matter too, and to confirm for fans who care about these issues that the artists they turn to do as well. Since you agree that it might be hypocritical for some artists to express support of the movement while not employing Black musicians in their bands, speaking up at other times, and otherwise supporting the Black community, I expect to see you calling out those musicians when they go back to forgetting about them, showing them that their allyship needs to be authentic, rather than performative. Because that's what your complaint is about, right? Surely it's not something more sinister than that?

I'm just going to add that Pulse is an inclusive forum and we don't condone any form of racism, xenophobia and intolerance. As a consequence, if any of you have an issue with some posts, we recommend you to report them instead of derailing even further the thread with baits and personal attacks, which is something that it's against the board rules too. This has already been addressed, so it would be better if you move on. Thank you.

I can't bear the thought, but her video-related story most likely is about "Redesigning Women," isn't it...? :(
