If I remember right, they song this song together as a duet on each other's varity tv show, and they both were 78 when they died.

Yikes This isn’t showing up? I saw the tweet before and it's about a renowned radio personality said to a queer artist that they should not market themselves based on their queer identity. EDIT: I read the photo again and it seems I am oversimplifying that.

Yikes This isn’t showing up? Yeah my Twitter is acting a fool as well, it's likely down worldwide then; I can still at least see the imbedded tweet and...it makes no sense LMAO?! Since when does letting it be known you're a queer artist equate to opening yourself up for sex? I'm very confused lol?!

Billboard finally purged Panic! At The Disco off the rock and alternative charts this year. Panic! At The Disco came up in that article that you posted. It is going strong in the country music charts. They finally purged Maren Morris's The Bones off the charts. They might start doing this with songs that are more than 30 weeks on all the charts. You can tell there is some kind of Payola aka pay for play in country music. One station in Norfolk got the balls to start playing true country songs like the classics and the independent artists that are not on major labels that do play true country. We are now seeing independent artists showing up on these charts from Spotify, ITunes and Billboard Hot Country charts. Tyler Childers last week got two songs on the Billboard Hot 50 charts. Billboard and Mediabase/Country Aircheck dropped a lot of reporting stations because they were not heavily playing what we call mainstream artists. Mainly Texas stations that play mostly traditional country like artists from Texas including artists like Jon PArdi, Luke Combs and the likes. Many of these stations rejected songs from artists like Travis Denning and Gabby Barrett. These radio stations know who their audience are and not record labels. There have been a lot of radio stations that were losing money as audience and sponsors pulled out. Many of them started to play more traditional country and classics that the audience and sponsors to advertised came back. That is why we may have to have a sub-genre chart by making the mainstream called Country Pop and the second to be called True Country which will cover traditional, outlaw, bluegrass, Americana Country and the likes. radioink.com/2019/08/07/accusation-radio-still-involved-in-payola/www.savingcountrymusic.com/mainstream-country-station-explains-why-it-plays-tyler-childers/The last article shows a mainstream radio station in Norfolk is the one with the balls that will play Tyler Childers, Sturgill Simpson, Jason Isbell, Cody Jinks, Joe and Martina and other independent artists along with 90s country and classics like Cash, Haggard, and the likes. I am one of those voices that want real country songs on the mainstream, and we are being underserved by the major labels. Artists like Gabby Barrett, Travis Denning, LoCash, Chase Rice, Kip Moore, Jameson Rodgers and others along with that Bebe Rexha hit sounds like benifited from pay for play.

They do that to Independent radio stations who are not owned by the big companies like Cumulus, IHeartradio or Clear Channel. That is why none of my local stations are on any panels for Billboard or Madiabase. The majority of the stations are like 95% are owned under the big name corporations which why the pay for play is going on. The Independent stations have the more audience because they don't follow the pay for play and rely on requests from what the listeners really wants to hear. If you read that article from the Norfolk station? It tells you right there that there is a niche for Tyler Childers, Sturgill Simpson, Casey Donahew, Cody Jinks, Randy Rogers and others on the mainstream radio. A lot of stations that do not report to Billboard and Mediabase play a lot of these guys along with independent country artists that mainstream charts ignored. If they get more of these Independent radio stations on board the panel? Major label companies will start having a fit. iHeartmedia formally owns Clear Channel Communications which owns a large chain of radio stations that tried to forced independent to sell to them, and they refused. So, iHeartRadio is freezing out these independent radio stations by using Mediabase dropping them, and getting the major labels not to support them. Cumulus, the third largest radio media, joined a partnership with iHeartmedia. When you have two of the top three radio big corps working together against the small independent companies and would boot you from the panel because you don't play by their rules? Then it is a problem.

There is no proof of many stations getting dropped because they refuse to pay mainstream artists. It might be one here and there but it is not the many you claim. Most of the time a station gets dropped it is because they don't play a certain amount of current songs.
You have the right to your opinion on the state of country. But you cannot lie about facts like you did here.

Ahead of what is probably one of his biggest tv gigs, Morgan Wallen is out doing this?! Brilliant. www.vulture.com/2020/10/snl-morgan-wallen-musical-guest-partying-covid-19.htmlSNL’s Next Musical Guest Spent the Weekend Kissing and Partying Mask FreeDuring the coronavirus pandemic, Saturday Night Live is already taking a huge risk by producing live shows with in-studio audiences inside Studio 8H at 30 Rock, and now a new risk has been introduced. Country musician and The Voice alum Morgan Wallen, who SNL announced last week would perform as the show’s musical guest on October 10 alongside first-time host Bill Burr, spent the weekend partying with and kissing crowds of mask-free people while spending time in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, according to multiple videos circulating on Twitter and TikTok. As one local news report described it, Wallen — who posted a photo on Instagram of himself attending a football game at the University of Alabama on Saturday, October 3 — is seen in the clips “posing with fans in T-Town, downing shots, kissing girls, playing the guitar and generally making merry” at various locations like “a bar, at a house party, in the backseat of a fan’s car and more.” Wallen and the other people in the clips aren’t wearing masks or taking any kind of precaution; it’s like watching some alternate reality where COVID doesn’t exist. Saturday Night Live, however, has been taking all kinds of precautions to ensure that the cast, crew, and audience members remain COVID free at 30 Rock this season, including requiring everyone not on-camera to wear masks at all times and administering constant rapid testing. Even last week’s read-through was moved from the usual offices to Studio 8H, where cast members could socially distance. But rapid test results aren’t always reliable and can lead to false negatives, so even the most stringent policies aren’t foolproof when it comes to possible exposure. A rep for SNL did not respond to a request for comment on the videos, and, so far, efforts to reach the singer’s reps have been unsuccessful. Guess we’ll have to wait and see how risky SNL considers Wallen to be to the safety of the show.

That Morgan Wallen story is (rightfully) blowing up. Hope he's thrown off of SNL and no other promotional medium books him. Reckless and stupid.

He has become a huge star quickly....and if he keeps doing dumb shit like this, he will be cancelled very quickly in today's culture.
Speaking as a PR guy, this guy needs a better one...and stat. and someone with him at all times that is NOT an enabler.

Back to Morgan, I expect the SNL gig to get pulled. No, he's still married. He and his wife turned off all commenting on their socials, and because well it's Lee Brice, it all blew over

That Morgan Wallen story gives me pause. Damn; I was just about to spin his debut album soon. I hope that's not an indicator of anything else about his views; more often than not people who do things like that tend to NOT lean on the right side of history.
As I was gonna say when I came in here...UM: You Lie and Tammy Wynette. in the SAME medley, in the SAME setlist. Idk what it is but I'm PERCHED for this. bboat11 .indulgecountry tim someguy

NEW Music video by Josh Turner for cover of Vern Gosdin classic. If you had The Nashville Network back in the day as TNN, then you probably recall Club Dance. This is a nostalgic video.

Morgan Wallen has been pulled from SNL. I hope his label and management team have been dragging him to hell and back over this announcement today. SNL is a really big deal! Imagine losing one of the biggest promotional opportunities you have ever had due to your own stupidity and then having to answer to the people who spend money to promote you Edit: Also good for SNL actually holding him accountable!

I hope this is a real wake up call for him. I think his apology seemed sincere, and I hope he means it when he says he's got some growing up to do and that he's going to work on himself. I still love his music and I'll be rooting for him to come out of this a better and smarter person.
