I wonder if this song will be released on US mainstream radio? Hardy is all over the place.

I had the great pleasure of meeting Jerry Jeff Walker a few years ago by happenstance at a local AT&T store here in Austin and he was such a quirky fella! I of course grew up listening to the song "Mr. Bojangles" that he is most known for and was immediately starstruck, but he was just so welcoming and funny that it made my jitters go away pretty fast. I remember him going around the entire store and pulling up his son Django Walker (who is also a musician) on each phone so that the devices would start playing him on Spotify haha...oh and he also decided to pick out a mickey mouse case for his new iPhone! Anyways, he was an incredibly humble guy and I'm just thankful to have had the chance to meet him. It goes without saying that he's a legend here in Austin and will very much be missed.

Dolly Parton, Sara Evans and Rita Wilson teamed up with Monica and Jordan Sparks for the song "Pink."

The latest TikTok star that has gone number one on iTunes. Although I see mad potential with her, she was on Bobby Bones this morning. Let the bidding war begin.

I didn't care at all for Priscilla Block's "Just About Over You" but this one is a complete 180 for me. I absolutely loved this woman's vocals and her delivery (she reminds me of another woman, whose name I can't place!!), and the production was great. Hoping for great things!

She’s got a more interesting voice than Priscilla and the song is better by quite a bit. Still I hear a lot of filter on her vocal production and I’m curious what she sounds like without it, I can’t tell how good she is from this vocal.
And the song while stronger than “Just About Over You” is still on the weaker end for what women have been putting out over the last few years.
Makes me wonder how these artists who are coming in through tiktok (Jaden Hamilton and Robyn Ottolini as well) are catching on? They don’t stand out to me in anyway that other acts trying to make it in Nashville do and come off inferior so far too.
Good for them and it’ll be interesting to see if a viral hit on tiktok can translate into a successful country career.

He have a lot of videos on there including videos of his original songs. I thought the guy in the Morgan Wallen's "More Than My Hometown" was him. After I watched Morgan's video if it was Jaden Hamilton because of his Youtube accostic video of him singing Morgan's song. It was not, and a couple weeks later, Jaden was signed. Jaden is trending on Youtube for several months now for the songs he recorded. Now, I have no hope any of these TikTok artists that they would be hot one day, but the next, they would be old news and get replaced by a new sensation. I do not think they will last. Callista Clark on the other hand have a lot of cover songs on her YouTube channel, and signed by Big Machine Records. She actually sang a duet with Jennifer Nettles at the age of 11 on one of Sugarland's hits at a 4-H club at the age of 11. She is like 15 years old, and Jennifer Nettles is her mentor to develope her to be big. These TikTok stars need a mentor to help groom them to be staying in the limelight. They should put these young kids under a new label to develope them better. Jennifer Nettles and Callista Clark Brad Paisley and Hayden Baker Jon Pardi and Clay Hollis Jaden could use Morgan Wallen as a mentor. Priscilla Block needs a mentor to help her build her voice. Sarabeth Taite could use a Reba to work with her.

We need a thread about members of the country community who have passed away. This thread has turned into an obituary page.

Simon Reid Remix of Sara Evans' cover of "If I Can't Have You" available Friday!! I still prefer the original take from the album but this is lowkey a jam. So clubby & danceable.

I really like it and I generally don't enjoy country rap artists.

I understand that it is frustrating for all these artists, their band, and everyone else involved in the live performance process to not be able to play for so long and then be seeing large crowds in the news....BUT, some of these posts are coming up now when 45 had been having rallies for the past several months and I didn’t hear a peep from any of these guys and gal.
Not that I am saying people should be gathering together to celebrate (they shouldn’t be) but just because those people are making a mistake doesn’t mean concerts should start up ASAP.

Because (as whiskey riff points out) unsanctioned crowds, and organized concerts are definitely the same
That said a growing body of evidence seems to suggest, consistently moving, outdoor, masked crowds, don't turn into super-spreader events. At concerts though, even outdoor ones, individuals tend to stay in relatively in one spot. Plus as we've already seen country crowds seem to be allergic to mask wearing, and they'd have to forgo drinking. The country is currently experiencing a massive surge with over 100,000 cases a day and increases in hospitalizations....but sure lets bring back packed concerts.
They're right though, that people in the music industry are hurting, maybe instead of complaining to be able to host a concert and disregard other's health, they should be pushing their senators for another federal relief bill, so that people can remain safe, and feed their families.

Just make a no mask-no entry rule for concerts and call it good. And selling masks as merchandise would be a good way to make money for the artists.

Good luck with that when the Senate (specifically Republicans) care more about a Supreme Court Justice than Covid Relief. At this point I don't see a Covid relief bill and unfortunately it seems like not many people are taking the virus seriously

Because requiring people to wear a mask upon entry, and them leaving the mask on for several hours are two different things. Also and again it's not enough to wear masks, you'd still have to be a) outdoors (indoors for any length of time is just bad period) b) moving, not next to the same people outside your own pod for a length of time and/or c) socially distanced. Honestly, I would embrace the parking lot concerts.
