What's the deal with Chris Young's tour? He has canceled all the shows except for three, Uncasville, Green Bay, and Grand Prairie.

I’m going to assume that the reason shows are canceled is lack of ticket sales. I know Brothers Osborne has canceled a few shows too and I think the issue is the price of tickets. Bros and CY to me are a $25 ticket but Live Nation thinks they are a $45-$65 ticket plus another $12-$15 in bs fees. I think also a lot of venues a requiring Covid vaccine proof and mask to be worn....That probably turns ppl off too.

I like that the article doesn't make it out to be the controversy is what made him ineligible. I wish more awards shows would take into consideration recent sucess before eligibilty periods like they did here. A new artist should not be someone who has had more than a little success previously.

On one hand Cody Johnson being nominated for new artist awards is funny, but on the other hand (for example) Chris Stapleton missing that new artist nom at Grammys due to The Steeldrivers that normal people probably don't know is iffy. (Also Bo Burnham missing this year's new artist nom at Grammys is a shame)

Stapleton deserved to be nominated since he was in a group, not a solo act.

So this is pretty new and she’s sounding the best she has since like 2014.. you’ll have to skip around for the performances, but her improvement is especially notable on Independence Day which she sings towards the 40 minute mark. youtu.be/8sOJ5VDHLDE

Holy S**T. Chills all over my body. That’s the best Martina McBride has sounded in YEARS…if not since she lost her voice in the first place. And I’m sure bboat11 would attest to that. She has begun to sound better and better, and those performances of “Wild Angels” and “Independence Day” in particular have me GAGGED. If she can somehow manage to get back to being able to sing the even bigger wailers like “How Far,” “Where Would You Be,” “A Broken Wing,” etc. even remotely the way she used to be able to, I’ll be ECSTATIC. That performance makes me want a new album from her even more (it’s been nearly six years since Reckless and that’s far too long), and it makes me wanna buy tickets to see her live as soon as I possibly can.

The Band Perry teases [an arbitrary number] comeback. Wow I genuinely forgot all about them. Hopefully it is like their first 2 albums (even if I find Pioneer very overrated) because if it is like their recent pop crossover whatever sound they were going for I'm out.

Not only is she sounding better than she has been, but "Independence Day" has been raised back up to original key as well! The last couple years before Covid it had been shifted a key or two lower, and she still couldn't hit any of the notes. Now she's emerged from the pandemic raising one of her hardest songs back up to original key, and nailing the notes with more confidence than she has in at least 6-7 years! Here's a really great performance of "Anyway" from the last couple months as well, if anyone wants to watch it! My biggest takeaway from her videos lately is that even when they are not perfect, it is very evident that her power is coming back. Which is an amazing sign! And I agree, I am STOKED for new music (hopefully soon, Martina!!!!) Edit: Also, did y'all notice that in the first chorus of that "Independence Day" video she took her earpiece out? So she sang most of the hard parts of that song without being able to hear herself as well as she normally would!

I have to say it because it bothers me but Martina's hair right now...is a choice. Anyway, she is definitely sounding better than she has in years. I watched the entire Live at the Music Hall event and there were times when I was genuinely shocked at how much her voice has improved. She still struggles but I'm happy to see not as much as she has been. And I echo the comment that she needs to release a new non-Christmas album yesterday. And please let it be more than 10 songs.

Glad I didn't have tickets for the now 5th time rescheduled show here. I'd be pissed if I did because I have less than zero interest in a Dan + Shay concert.
I'm hearing rumors about Chris Stapleton not doing the George Strait show in 12 days. I will be majorly pissed if he doesn't. Can't be due to his vocal rest, since he was back on the road this weekend. Also I've found that ticketmaster has cut the ticket prices in half. That pisses me off since I bought them in a presale (Stapleton fan club through ticketmaster) for double what they are now. That's a bunch of crap.
